Sending an enormous heart felt thank you! You have generously given us enormous chunks of your time and energy so that we can all be part of this crazy, wonderful ride. Every year I get excited for November (and really - who gets excited for November?!) because I get to do this thing that I love so much. You guys are GREAT!

Sorry I'm late, for some reason the email from MaMo telling me it was ML Appreciation day yesterday arrived in my inbox today. helpful. But...

MLs, I love you both! you are amazing and fantastic and you may think it's a thanless job but actually you are quietly appreciated every time people get an email from you, go to an event or spend a while on chat / forums. Even when you don't realise it, hell, even when we don't realise it, we're appreciating you.

I am also late, but better late than never.

My schedule means I never make it to any of the events, so I don't see as much of you (or of anyone in the community) as I'd like, but I do know how hard you work to make this month a fun, memorable experience for all of us, all while somehow juggling your everyday lives and your own nano novels like the rest of us, so thanks for volunteering yourselves for all that crazy amount of extra work, for doing such a good job at it, and for being generally fantastic people.

I've made (very passive) attempts at NaNo a few years in a row now, but this is the first time I've been out to any events, mostly due to the poking and prodding of Bdoing.

Incidentally, this is also the furthest I've gotten.

So, thanks to OilsDragon for being so welcoming at a huge group of people in which I didn't know anyone terribly well except my brother.

Oh, and Bdoing, too. I guess he did an alright job.*



*As my brother this is the legal limit to amount of praise I can give him. Forgive me for seeming lacklustre.

I know I've already said this once here, but I wanted to thank you guys again - first, for a terrific, fabulous month; and second, for the thoughtful notes in this thread. You've brought a number of smiles to my face in the midst of my (exhausted, zombie-like) post-overnighter slump this week. :)
