They really like each other, trust each other, all that kind of thing. I don't think they love each other yet (or at least, are not aware of it) but they will. When is too soon to have them have sex? I need this to happen so they get more emotionally connected to each other, so it has a bigger impact when they fight later on, but when is too soon? Any thoughts? Since they are different people, sex will symbolize different things for both of them. For one, it might be the signal that they are now a real, monogamous couple. While the other one sees it as just one more step closer. And then there are all the practical, ethical, moral issues that society has imposed on them, that they interpret in different ways. They probably both have different "rules" for when the right time is. And they are probably both a little unsure of what their own rules should be. Sex brings up all kinds of conflict. I remember wanting to lose my virginity just to get it out of the way, not because it was right. I think it was the same for a lot of young women I knew. And then later when you're in a relationship, you just kind of stumble into sex. I never planned when was the right time to have sex.
