I'm Lynn Marie from New York. I'm a rebel and this is my first time doing NaNoWriMo. I just became aware of it. I can't wait until next year when I can take one of the 20 plot lines from my notebook and challenge myself to write a fresh novel in 30 days. This year, however, I need to do revisions on a book that I started as a mystery, and am rewriting as a Chick Lit. I am an awesome cheerleader. If anyone needs a boost, buddy me. The only way to get a book written is to write it.
Hi there--I'm not sure if you will get this email anytime soon, but I came across your post in Chick Lit and thought maybe we could be writing buddies. I am working on a novel and am a hot mess with the whole project...so I was hoping that you knew what you were doing and could share some pointers. I suppose this is all kinda random as it is now January...so...umm...yeah...I hope to hear from you before next November.
My name is Lindsay (obviously) and I love writing Romance and Chick Lit. I usually tend to go more towards Chick Lit because I think it's a tad bit more classy.
Feel free to buddy me if you want some Chick-y support!
I'm Nicole and after attempting to write just straight general fiction, I've realized that everything I'm ever going to write is going to be Chick Lit, and I kind of love that.
I am once again writing in chick lit this year, and hoping that 2011's story turns out better than 2010's story. I would love some chick-y lit-y writing buddies. Feel free to buddy/message me!
I don't normally write chick lit, but I've got a great idea for NaNo this year that fits 100% in this genre. Should be fun!
Also, I have never done NaNo before so I don't know if this is what people normally do, but if anyone needs a fresh pair of eyes for what they are writing I love to read other people's works as much as writing my own :)
I would love some writing buddies! This year is my first attempt at writing Chick Lit. Last year my NaNo was a romance that turned into borderline erotica..... I am hoping to not do that again this year!! :) I am pretty excited about my story this year and can't wait to get started.
This is my first NaNo and it's all a bit terrifying. The novel I have in mind I think fits the chick lit mould and I would be happy with that. Just want to actually write it...any buddies would be welcome as I don't have the faintest idea what I'm doing here and this is going to be one scary month!

This is my first NaNo as well, and I am super excited. Probably because it's still October. My story is still adjusting and conforming into a plot and characters. I usually type out an outline, but being as I have never finished writing a book, i'm debating whether or not I should just wing it.
I am big time romance and chick lit reader, so this is my most comfortable writing zone. I am in desperate need of buddies who can keep me in the right direction ***aka: finishing***
This is my second nano, but last year I didn't find out about it and sign up until about the 10th of November... this is the first year I've experienced the October jitters (oh, how I want to start writing!). I tend to write chic-lit. I'm not sure if that's really where this one will fall, but I like it here. I'd love to have buddies.
Trying my hand at Chick Lit and trying not to think of gum every time I read or write that. ;) Would love some writing buddies and will befriend some of you already on here. Glad there is a group for this.
I'm Adele and this is my first year attempting this and I really want to make to the end. I'm pretty excited about doing it, I've wanted too for a couple of years, I have characters and a vague plot line, with several definite moments I want to add but apart from that I'm just going for it.
I'd really like to have some Chick Lit buddies to help motivate me and be a shoulder to cry on when it turns out I hate my main characters.
Hello! I'm Katie, first time NaNoer and proud to say I write chick-lit! My characters just came to me today so my plot is still a little hazy, but I'm so excited to get started. I've actually chosen a crazy year for my first NaNo, I'm also writing my dissertation for my final year of uni, moving house in November and working 2 library jobs! For this reason, I'd really love to have some chick-lit buddies to keep me sane! NaNo mail me/buddy me!
Hello :) My name is Lauren and i've attempted nano a few times before...but that was awhile ago. I never won and this year I'm determined to get to 50k. I'm obsessed with chick-lit so I figured that'd be my best bet in winning, but i have nothing else. i figure that's what the next couple of days are for. So if anyone's in the same boat as me, or wants to keep in touch throughout November, I'd love to be buddies. :)
I love chick lit and have written a few short stories in the genre. I'd love a buddy to help me work out what I'm doing wrong, for mutual support and for a good laugh at the mess we may make on our MS.
This is the first time I'm on NaNo and it is exciting.
I don't know how to 'buddy' people but will work it out somehow.
Hallo! My name is Rachael. I think my novel will fall into the Chick Lit genre though I may have to change that as the novel develops. I would love to have a few writing buddies to help keep me motivated through this WriMo.
I totally can't wait to share a few laughs and see what comes out of a month of writing!

We can't do writing buddies yet, can we? If so, how do we do it?

I'm not sure how much I'll be on the forums between writing and other bits of life, but I'm happy to have buddies! :D
