Hello, this is my fifth NaNo. I will be writing my fifth novel is a series. This will be the last in the series but not the last NaNo.

I am American, from the Pacific Northwest. I've been in Istanbul 25 years. If anyone would like to meet up, say at the Bebek Starbuck's, that would be great. PM me.

Hi all!

I'll also be giving it a go for the first time, even though 50k does seem very, very far away at this point.

Hello everybody.. Last year I couldn't attend but this year I would like to. Deadline is quite tight.
Anyone knows how I need to enroll to nano writing officially?

Thx...

I think you're asking about creating your novel? In "mynanowrimo" you can click "edit novel info" and create your novel there.
I still haven't since i'm still not very sure about what i'm going to write. And i'm beginning to get scared ..

Hi Everyone, its my first time too - first time at nanowrimo and first time trying to write a novel. Its a bit daunting, but also exciting. Am going to try and stay on target each day. I could meet in Bebek. I'm in Ortakoy.

Today is the first day. Good luck everyone!!

Oh god this feels very awkward.
Well, hi. This is my first NaNoWriMo attendance. I'm actually a kid trying to be a writer. I agree uglur, 50K looks very far away for me.
Okay, good luck.

Just keep your head down and focus on the daily 166y words. Try to write more if you can so you build up a reserve in case some obligations pop up (like Kurban bayram!)

Keep in mind that you are writng the roughest of rough drafts and that you are writing a novel, but no one said it had to be a GOOD novel :) Anyway you won't know until you get it all out on the screen, so go for it!

I have abandoned ship entirely. But for a reason I think is acceptable: a publishing house has said it wants to publish my series of books, here in Istanbul. So I am working with the editor and tightening up bits and pieces.

Incidentally, these books each started out life as NaNoWriMo winning efforts-- so keep at it!

Congrats from Izmir! Do let us know the name of the first book, once that's finalized, so that you can have your first readers from NaNo as well :)

EmsaidSo, congratulations!!! Such good news!!

Its been tough keeping up with word count. i've lagged 2 to 3 days behind most of the time and this week i had to travel for work, so I was 6 days behind. Brutal! But I'm back. I just logged 45,000. my fingers are numbed, but I'm on the home stretch now. I'm working tomorrow, but am praying that I can still do my daily word count tomorrow night. In the end, I didn't have time to keep up to date with teh daily news and encouragement, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips on which forums they found most useful.
