Hello all,

Welcome to Nano 2011 erotic fiction board. Please use this thread to introduce yourself and your novel. Please ensure you do not post anything sexually explicit as per the site rules.

I'm Essbee. I'm one of the moderators for this board and although this is my first year moderating this section i'm not new to moderating for Nano. I'm the ML for Glasgow and West in Scotland and i'm really looking forward to November!

Over to you :)

Hi there,

Capriciouswoman, name says it all, from Europe. I've participated in Nano before but never won. Burning out being the main risk there.

For 2011 I want to try my hand at an old plot I've been toying with. It will be a straightforward love story with a fair amount of both sensual and explicit scenes as well as conflict and character growth.

Hello! my name is ms.read and erotic fiction has been my fallback - go-to to win in November. This is the easiest genre to write (for me). This year I am going to try and write something with...a little more plot, prehaps? I want to keep things moving. I am from Maine, in the USA. It's nice to meet all of you.

Hi!

I'm Jauhis, and once again I'm writing Erotic Fiction, which has been my genre for ages. I have one official win from last year, and it was a great success. I also won both Camp NaNos this summer with Erotic Fiction, so now it's my 4th attempt to write some more explicit scenes for NaNo. Hopefully it's gonna be easy and I don't throw my plot (or "plot") into the air in the middle of the month. As always, I'll be writing in Finnish, and I hope I'll be a winner this year also~

Hi guys. I'm Cid, but I write under a pen name for Ellora's Cave. This year I'm going to be writing the first book in what I hope will be a contemporary series about roller derby girls called The Derby Dames. The first book is called Sex on Wheels, and I'm having to restrain myself from writing it right now. But that's okay, because I have edits to do and my new cover just landed on my desk so I have to put in the necessary hours staring at it.

Hi everyone! I'm fshk, I'm the other moderator here and an ML for New York City. I write primarily m/m erotic romance these days and am published under a pseudonym. My novel this year is leaning toward the romance end of the spectrum, but that certainly does exclude sexy times. My idea, which I'm still working on, mostly involves two men who are actually reincarnated lovers who meet by chance at an antique shop. There are hijinks.

I'm unrulydreamer (aka SE). I'm a 24 year old who lives in Alberta, Canada. This is my sixth year doing nano and my third year doing erotica. This year I've sort of mixed Erotica and Fantasy (in a genre I like to call Erotictsy lol) with possible romance thrown in...depends how willing my characters are. I'm really excited to be writhing something newish and challenging for this years nano!

Looking for writing buddies as always!

Happy writing!

I'm Angrykittykj (or Krys). I'm 24, happily married and have just moved out of a NaNo region that I really loved and have found myself in Austin, TX for quite possibly the rest of my life. This is my sixth year doing NaNo (not counting Camp NaNo this past summer) and my very first time trying Erotic Fiction.

My novel is about a young psychiatrist who has had some horrible experiences with sex and pretty much given up on it all together. She meets a man who has spent years involved in fetish and sex games and he convinces her that he can change her views on sex. It will turn romantic at the end when sex turns to love, but the story will mostly consist of lots of different sex games. Should be fun :)

Hi all,

I'm Darby, and this is my second time attempting NaNo. I've written quite a few novella-length pieces of fanfiction, but this is going to be my first time trying a lengthy original work.

My novel is a queer erotic romance with a coming of age plot set against an alternate earth historical fantasy backdrop with a touch of family drama and a few attempted political assassinations thrown in for good measure.

I'm sorry about this.

I'm writing a post apocalyptic erotica with mutants. It's about a young woman who decides to go to the city and ends up becoming a sex worker, servicing men of all kinds. Including mutants. Beyond that, I have no idea.

All three of those NaNo novels have been published, as well as a good number of non-NaNo books as well. (*waves at Cid, fellow EC author) This year I'm working on a contemporary M/M erotic romance, my genre of choice. I don't like to share plot synos on public forums, but suffice to say it's going to be hot and romantic and I'm so looking forward to it.

Hi, I'm Eileen and I'm new to novel writing. I won Script Frenzy in April but have never done NaNo before. I have written loads of NC17 fan fiction. including one that is currently 10 and a half chapters long and one that is 8 chapters long. The one that is over 10 chapters long is over 50000 words so I know that in theory I can do it.

My Hero and heroine are going to be captain and XO of a space ship, lost in space and forced to settle for a time on a planet. But the planet expects them to be husband and wife and behave as such. They are telepaths so they will know if they have not had sex so despite the fact they have one of those love/ hate relationships, they have to go ahead with it. I may have to create some kind of plot at some point... :-/

I've been writing this kind of thing for about 8 years. My stories appear on appropriate BDSM story websites and the feedback is generally good. The stories tend to go on a bit!

Finally, it's time for a new story and I reckon I could get a first draft written in 30 days if I stay motivated. This is my first Nano!

Hi - I'm Pooka, hiding out in the UK

I'm not sure what I'm writing yet, except it will be rude - our last write in last year ended up with a 15 min word war - and all of us abandoned our normal novels to write filth... after that I got challanged to do the whole of NaNo this year as filth. I've got a vague starting point, but it'll be disjointed and horrid until I can catch up with myself.

Last year was bad sci-fi. Hit the goal, but it was rubbish - this year, who knows...

Tamaroo from (just outside) Victoria, BC. This is my 4th year at WriMo and each year I write some kind of erotica with a plot. As I told a friend it's not all bodice ripping and olive pressing. :) I like to think I tell a story with dynamic characters in realistic settings. Of course, I could just be kidding myself and they're all completely crap. :)
Last year I attempted erotic sci-fi with bilingual dialogue...I'm not well versed in sci-fi and I found it a difficult genre to "fake". This year I'll go back to my tried and tested style. No definite ideas yet, but there's still time.

Basically, there's some sort of zombie apocalypse sweeping through the planet, and the main characters get stranded out in Alaska. They have to learn to survive without modern society, combat zombies, and keep up with everybody's weird relationship things.

This year I'm writing a polyamorous, domestic discipline romance set against a backdrop of supernatural shenanigans? It's definitely a break from tradition and I'm probably going to spend most of my time here looking for help getting this thing going.
The (in)famous Talaisan, of Montana. I screwed up NaNo HARD last year. I already screwed up this year, but hey, we'll see if I can handle it. It won't be "starting from scratch on a novel on November 1st" so much as "seeing how much more of this monster I can write in November".

Let's see... I never write modern-day, or espionage, or romance, or any of the various things that make up the novel I've got cooking. So I'm flying blind, by the seat of my pants, in uncharted territory. Fortunately, I know that sanity is for the weak!

I'm Kristin. I've tried writing novels that were too close to home these past two years and failed both times. This year I'm trying to let my freak flag fly and write what comes naturally. :-) My story involves the paranormal and erotic. Hopefully I'll be able to create a lot of tension and suspense as my novel is technically in the 'horror &amp; supernatural' genre. But there will be some hot bits in there. Someday when I've worked up the courage, I'm going to write a bodice ripper like I used to read a teen. :-)

Heyo! I'm tea&amp;coffee. I like tea much better than coffee, incidentally, but just being called "tea" wouldn't work out, I imagine.

I'm an American studying in England for a year, doing postgraduate studies in European history. I really have no idea what I was thinking, signing up for this when I have a dissertation to write and various other activities that eat into my time. But I'm optimistic nonetheless.

My novel is, tentatively, about a young American man who (surprise surprise!) goes to England. He's there to care for his ailing grandmother and deal with all sorts of family drama, but then he meets a wickedly adorable third-year and lots of sexy fun ensues. In the park. In the library. And everywhere else, I hope.

Hey all! I'm murphyslawyer, but you can call me Murphy, Murph, or Lauren, or just about anything, really. (Yes, I'm a girl.)

This is my third year writing NaNo, and it's also my third year in college, as well as my busiest (I really do need to learn to think things through). Coincidentally, the book I'm writing this year is third in a series about gifted humans known as Impartials who have to bind a contract with the Dark Fae to prevent them from harming humans. This year, the Impartial tasked with binding the contract is Brenna Gallagher. She's been hunting Fae all her life, so she knows better than to fall for one.

Or she thought she did. When it happens anyways, she has to deal with the complications and still find a way to ward off what seems to be an impending war between the Fae---a war that will drag the humans into the midst of it.

I'm looking forward to it--but first I have to finish <em>last</em> year's book! Ahhh!

Hiya, I'm jailaheyn, or Niki, or "That Frizzy Haired Perv Over There". This is my seventh year at Nano with as many completions and it seems that I'm incapable of keeping the naughty stuff out of my stories. Until last year, they were all some flavor of M/M (M/M mystery, M/M fantasy, M/M romance at a geek convention, M/M mermen, and so on), and last year was "let's throw in every taboo subject that comes to mind until it could possibly get me arrested if anyone else reads it" story of a young girl and her demon familiar working for the bad guys, so I'm going to try my hand at a F/F sci fi/fantasy/action thing this time around with a cute redhead who is imbued with the power to protect her Witch kind from overzealous Hunters while failing for a lonely queen who's got her secrets of her own.

Hi, I'm Terra and I'm a young married woman from Seattle. I've been doing NaNo for about seven years. I've won once and the secret to my win was about 20k of erotica madly dashed out in the last couple days. So, I think I know what I need to do to win... :) That being said, I'm hoping to get more than just the sex scenes done this year and have something with its plot intact by the end of November. I'm not sure if my novel is better suited to the fantasy genre or the erotica genre, but I like other erotica authors so I thought I'd hang out here :)

Hi, I'm Lunalelle, and I've published some queer erotic short stories under another pseudonym. Two years ago I wrote bisexual paranormal erotica, which I'm shopping around at the moment, and this year I'm going to lean on the reliability of a sex scene to add word count again. :)

This year's is het paranormal erotica about a wizard/nerd who creates a wolf girl for his personal entertainment and gratification. It should be interesting. I've toyed with the idea for a while now.

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

Hi!
My name is cho and i am the ML for the North Carolina::Fayetteville chapter. I have been writing homo-erotica for the past 6 almost 7 years and much like ms.read it is my go-to for NaNo. Right now I luckily have my current story that i have been working on to hold me over until November 1st. Even luckier is the fact that the submission deadline is on October 31st so i will be able to start November fresh with a new story.
The only problem is that my friend and I are going to self publish a book to sell at an upcoming convention in Chicago, however that means i need a 50K story by december. Which of course is where NaNo will come in... the only problem is that I have no clue what to write about... so I am thinking that every time i get stuck i am going to ask people in the forum to give me a simple idea (a word or a sentence) that will help me move forward. My personal goal is 100K this year spread out over two books so we will see how it works.

Looks like a lot of people here write M/M. That's something that I'd really like to attempt someday (but worry over because one of my best friends writes it SO WELL and I feel like mine would totally suck compared to hers....)

*waves* I'm Heather, and I think I've only done NaNo once where the story wasn't sexual. Sex-scenes are my favorite padding technique, and I fall into it so easily that it's always hard for me to attempt a story with no sex. .... So I usually don't try.

I write lesbian bdsm stories for the most part, usually with some sort of not-nice twist. This year (and in my 2008 NaNo) the twist is that one of the MCs is very publicly homophobic, and refuses to admit that she might be attracted to the woman she's Dom-ing.

Hello everyone, I am Steve, though that has probably been figured out already. This is my first time here.

I have been writing coop erotica on a number of sites for several years now and am wanting to take a bit of a dive into solo writing with this. I tend to hetero relationships of a BDSM nature, sometimes swinging to the non-con should my partner be willing to write opposite of that.

I am your classic Dirty Old Man, I love looking at the ladies and enjoying the pleasures they offer, in my mind at least. In real life I am married for almost 25 years, intend on staying that way, but I do not see little flights of fancy causing issues with that, in fact, they keep things interesting.

My this year's plot is about two professors, who end up living together in a international project. They have a roommate, who is irritating at all costs and one of them looses it more than would be suitable for a scolar. So the other one "shows" him, what is missing in his life to temper his moods.

Salutations, fellow forum members. This is my first NaNoWriMo. I'm migrating from RPGs over here for a bit on the basis that we've already run games in the world I'm writing this time, and I'd like to tell the story of a particularly interesting young lady. Lately my circle and I have been working on Visual Novels, which are going fine (but slowly) and that sort of naturally lead to NaNoWriMo.

My story is about the heir to a falling house of mechanical craftsmen who maintain the airships that keep the colonists from the northern continents from being eaten en masse by the terrible beasties below. The main thread focuses on her inability to get along with society, how integral her inventions are to keeping everyone alive, and the lovers she meets along the way.

I should also note, I'm not planning a LOT of erotic content, but I know some will be there. I guess I should cross-post in Fantasy when I need to, since the world is pretty steampunk/aetherpunk. Sound appropriate?

Hi! I'm Molli, and this is my fourth November NaNo--it's my favorite time of the year! My first couple NaNos were YA (so, no sex), but I started writing erotica a couple of years ago. This year's novel is an AU of the series I usually write. A speculative romance sort of thing, in which my main character, his girlfriend, and their two best friends wake up one morning to find they've been sent back to high school, together (in their "real" world, they didn't meet until they were in their 20s and 30s). I'm actually going to try to keep it on the sex-light side, and for the moment, my current outline has five sex scenes, but I have a feeling that'll expand. Maybe not so sex-light :) My four main characters make up an M/F couple and an M/M couple, and my POV character is the guy from the het couple so all I get to write is straight sex, unfortunately. Maybe next year I'll do an M/M, my real love.

My couple meets at an island resort and spend a night together, only exchanging first names. Through a series of mishaps and misunderstandings, they both leave the island the next day, believing the other one has deceived them.

Fast-forward a year and a half: Their paths cross again in New York City, and the spark is reignited. Just when you think they're headed for happily ever after, think again! Those plans are thwarted by a crazed stalker, a prostitute, a couple of murders and the female lead in a coma. The climax of the novel takes place on the picturesque Maine coast, where the male lead finally finds her. But she has a secret...

Hey, I'm rushingtide, 23, and this is my first time writing for NaNo where it's NOTgoing to be humor, but an erotic novel. I write smut/erotica all the time for fun as short stories, but never as a focus for a full story. Last year I had a hell of a novel that I'm in the process of rewriting (sci-fi space opera steampunk humor). Each time I've won, it was for humor. This time, I have no idea what the hell I'm doing with this. The storyline I think is very basic and boring, but who knows what'll happen once the crazy month of November happens.

Hello all, I've already introduced myself in the Denver forum, so I thought I'd come say hi to the other erotic writers.

My nickname is Dragon, but that was already taken. I've been a reader of erotica for several years ever since a friend introduced me to band fan fiction. So my goal for NaNo is to write a novel that I can market to publishers.

The story I've got planed involves a young woman, her boyfriend, his ex-girlfriend, a vampire, a crazy club owner, the young lady's best friend, and lots of sex, self realizations, and some sticky subjects. I'm pretty sure it's going to be epic: either epically good or epically terrible, and either way I'll probably have a lot of fun doing it!

If there's anyone here in the Colorado/Denver area, please stop in the Denver forum and say hi!

Take care!

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

Hello, I'm Abenstern. Erotica has been a bit of an underlying thing in all my works up to this point. I've never done NaNoWriMo before so I hope it turns out okay. Its mainly a fantasy story about a pair of young men who are the only ones to escape their village and the wild adventure they go on to save their world from darkness. Of course the entire group but one person is all males, so there will be plenty of gay sex, hot romance, and even some kinky elf sex thrown in there for good measure. I am pretty sure that no one else is going to stray from the lovers I've set them up with, though I've already had one backfire on me in the plans.

I'll come straight out and admit it, I'm not actually writing erotica. More so surreal abstraction. But given my mind, chances are that I'll definitely be dropping by from time to time and checking in to see what you guys are up to and asking for your help/advice!

Good luck for NaNo!

I'm Candyfreak! This is my first year writing a erotic fiction for NaNo but not my first time writing one over all. Have to say this is one of my favorite things to write! I've had about 5 different ideas for this 1 novel and have written 4 different plot notes and I finally found one I like.

My novel is pretty much a school girl, a smart rich boy, and a rebel biker. Lots of fun plotting this idea and I can't wait to write it!

I'm Jilly Boyd. You can call me Jilly, you can call me Jill, whatever you like! I'm quite new to erotic fiction, and as yet unpublished.

My novel is a Full Monty homage about three guys who are stripping off for charity, and in the meanwhile deal with an onslaught of trouble in love. The title is Candy Cain, which seems rather cheesy, but totally makes sense in the context of the book! I'm in the process of planning this little gem. The story is quite close to my heart, seeing as I always wanted to do something Full Monty -esque. But, you know, with lots of sexing in it ;)

I'm Shannon and this is my first year attempting this as a student. Last year I finished NaNo is the last ten minutes, but that was more because of my writers block and kind of laziness then anything else. This year i'm starting nano fresh and writing a bit more adult then last time. By a bit I mean a hell of a lot, but the problem i've encountered is that this time i'm a full time college student taking all 3000 AND 4000 level classes, live on campus and work 25 hours a week.....how ever am I gonna write 50k and keep up with papers galore.

I have three or four anthologies I want to submit to with the publishers I deal with so I'm going to use NaNo as a way to crank them out. Two are Valentines and one is fairy tale themed. I've also got a holiday piece I decided to make into a novella so I'll finish that one off too. Hopefully it brings me to where I need to be. NaNo, for me this year, is about finishing up what I started this year and getting anthology submissions ready for next year.

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

Hi. I'm von_gelmini. IRL, Brendan. I write slash fanfiction, which, for those who don't know, is explicit gay male fiction based on existing characters from other media. For me, it's Doctor Who. Specifically, the Doctor and the Master during their youth on Gallifrey. The appeal of that for me is that there's nothing in the existing canon of the show about that time of their life, so I can mostly make it up as I go along.

I don't know that my writing could be called erotica, as I get very explicit, detailed, and pornographic in the sex parts of the story. I once wrote an 8000 word explicit sex scene that was totally PWP (porn without plot). I like to think I'm good at expressing emotion and character through sex, as well as writing good fapping material.

I'm active on LJ, and also am working on posting my stuff to archives like An Archive Of Our Own (AO3) and The Prydonian.

I've never done an NaNo before. Primarily because I seem to have a natural writing length of around 5k words. The idea of doing 50k is terrifying. I wouldn't have even tried if I hadn't this past year written something over 100k with a co-writer. It made me think that maybe I could have a go at doing length on my own. I hope to succeed at producing an actual novel and not having to resort to producing a series of connected short stories in order to make my 50k. So here I am.

I am the Rojodi, the latest of a long line of storytellers, both of Polish legends and Mohawk tales. Okay, so that's not entirely true: my Polish great-grandmother told us kids awesome legends and stories from her native Carparthian village; my full-blooded Mohawk grandmother had my uncle write some of the folklore she had been told by her mother, and I was privy to read some in college.

For the last several years, I've attempted to participate in NaNo, going so far as to have a completed outline a few years ago. Real life has always invaded my attempts, causing me to end my writing. This year, I will put my best foot forward and write. This year, I will write something erotic, a tale of both sensuality and adventure, maybe incorporate some of my vast reservoir of short story notes.

TIme will only tell if I'm successful.

I failed last year BIG time, mostly because I got busy with a lot of other things plus I burned out quicker than I thought. This year's gonna be tough because I have 10 hours of college PLUS a 20 hour job. Thankfully, my boss will let me work on my story, so...phew. Wish me luck, though.

Hey everyone!

I'm Bethany, and this is my first year officially writing erotica. I've attempted I think, 6 years of NaNo, and only won once. I've dabbled around in different genres - romance, chick lit, mainstream fiction, fantasy... - but it always ends up with smut somewhere, so I figure, maybe if I START with smut, I may get some plot out of this sucker!

As of now, I'm leaning towards writing F/F with BDSM (ah, what's that quote, all fiction is, after all, autobiographical) undertones (or what will probably end up being overtones, but anyways!).

Even when I was writing not-officially-erotica, I stalked these forums a lot, they were always the most fun.

Good luck, all! :D

This is my first NaNo and I am sure I am going to go down in flames since I work full time and pretty much fly by the seat of my pants the rest of the time.

I am from Red Deer, Alberta or as I call it "The Deer." I have never really written anything even close to 50,000 words before but what I do write is usually erotic. The most basic description of my novel is my FMC who is a love em and leave em type of girl gets the tables turned on her and gets jilted by her phenominal lover. She decides it's time to do a bit if soul searching away from her usual life. She goes to an island town where she spent some of her childhood summers and swears off men in order to get to know herself...the men on the island however don't quite get the message.

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

Hello,
I am Josey. I seem to always slip from R rated to X rated so last year I stopped fighting that fact and admit that I write sci-fi erotic romances. I like to keep my setting military oriented (even in real life I have a thing for a man in uniform) or some kind of rebel for a cause type stories.

This year’s book is a rewrite of last years. I was not happy where my 2010 novel took my characters I ended the month with a hero who was clueless and a heroin who was a wimp. I am bound and determined this won’t happen again and I am taking those two on another adventure to see if he can keep his back bone and she can develop one. lol

This year’s story line is She stumbles upon a non human man (think lycan but no shape shifting) and rescues him from a compromising position. They then go on the run. Bad guy follows. She gets kid napped. Hero seeks revenge. Political twist gets uncovered. Another bad guy is unmasked. She has detrimental information she gives to hero. Hero saves the day. They live happily ever after.

Ok I like romantic mush with a sci-fi twist. lol

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

Hi! I'm Wolfie! I have a series I call Gaiankind, which is split into various subseries; for NaNo, I'll be taking some characters I used in a, erotic short story last year and try to do a Gaiankind novel with them. I'd been stuck for ideas before, but as soon as I decided to do NaNo, the ideas started flowing, just as I'd hoped. :)

This novel features Keltair, a half-elven thief, and his shapeshifting puca accomplice/lover, Dulaine. It's set in the late 12th century, so I will need to do a lot of research. Their series revolves around them trying to find and destroy these rings called the Shadowmakers, before someone uses them to create a puca army and take over the world. And they're bi-poly, so they'll be having some sexual exploits along the way -- with potentially disastrous consequences.

I have another erotic novel I've been pecking at for years, too, about an alien university; maybe this will lead to me finishing that as well ....

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

Hi, I'm NurseWriter, although that really doesn't sound like the author of erotic fiction does it, lol. I just wanted something generic, because most people who know me ie: my family, my co-workers would never believe that I would write something like this, and I think it is better that way.
This is my first year doing Nano, and honestly, I'm not sure what I have gotten myself into. I'm excited, but a little apprehensive about trying this, I have a full time job and a home and husband to take care of. My husband is being super supportive though, so that helps.
My story is BDSM based and is the story of an abused child, who grows up to be an abused adult until she finds the courage to leave her abuser, a player, wannabe Dom who doesn't understand the difference between BDSM and abuse. After she leaves him she vows never to be a victim again, even if that means never taking a chance on relationships/love again. As she tries to rebuild her life, again, the man she left is trying to take her back, and a man who cares for her wants to show her that she can be submissive without giving up herself.
Now, if I could only come up with a title.

Heylo~!

Hi everyone...I go by Suntail here--and this is my first year doing NaNoWriMo! *hear the sound of squeaks and wringing hands as well as chattering teeth~* I've always found this task to be daunting and scary to do in one months time--but I am using it this year to spring board myself into the deep ocean that is a writer's life and no matter what ends up happening--I'll win because I'll have (hopefully) written a good amount of a story--rather than having them in my head and never committing them to paper (digital or otherwise).

I love quite a few generas, but all of them have M/M romance or erotica in them! Yep! that's right :) My current idea for NaNo is a Loosely-based Sci-fi involving a Futuristic world that one 21st century never expected to see~.

Oh, I'm located in the Minnesota Area :) but new friends from anywhere rock!

My name's Tracy, though I've written fan fiction under Chaos Angel or Choas Angel and LittleWing. Over the last couple of years I've grown tired of borrowing someone else's characters and want to write my own characters. I also want to get into writing novels, m/m, m/f &amp; f/f romance...also dabbling in action, horror and suspense (though I find that romance fits nicely into anyone of those too). And I thought that NaNoWriMo would be a good place to accomplish this goal. I am hoping to be published.

This month, though I will be working on a m/m romance that'll have a little spice of bad romance, true love, good friends, bad friends, horrible ex's, and an early twist.

Plot always matters to me more than sex, so there won't be much of that, but lots of plot and character driven.

Ravenous is having a contest for anyone who completes a 50K erotic romance so check them out and your winning Nano could be a 2012 publication for you!

Best of luck all!

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

Hey all,

I'm Always. I've never done NaNo before so I think this is going to be an experience. As you can probably tell from my username I like the dramatic. And I've been in a severe writing funk for past few months, I thought something dramatic like this might actually help me start writing again. So I'm going to be reworking (hopefully finishing) a novel I attempted in the spring.

My novel is set in a scifi/fantasy version of modern day Earth. It's about a paranoid, cynical seventeen-year-old who transfers to a new boarding school to run away from the trouble his parent's dysfunctional politics have caused him. He ends up beginning an intense affair with the school's headmaster, who is a droll, nuturing sort with a strong love of bondage. And, as with most of my stories, that's really not at all what the story is actually about. I like to write about mindgames and manipulation, and all my characters tend to be constantly playing the others. It's kind of a crazy, convoluted political ride, but I hope it's an enjoyable one.

Nice to meet you all and good luck to everyone :)

Hey I'm Auburnfaerie, also known as Dawn. I'm a published author in erotic romance, and love NaNo. While I have only won once, I have had great fun in the challenge. My husband hates it because I disappear for long periods of time in the ether of my stories. This year we have a full house of three kids, hubbs, me and my lovely dog. Looks like I'll be sacrificing sleep to make my goals.

It's four days before NaNo kicks off and I can't say the word NaNo around my house b/c my husband nearly has a meltdown.

This year I'm writing a time jump novel. :) Can't wait to see how it goes!

Hi All :)

Took me a minute to get over here, but I'll go ahead and introduce myself. I'm a romance and erotica author often times my romance will have erotica in it (force of habit I suppose) So I'm new to Nano but not to writing erotica. For this year Nano I'm writing a Sci Fi Romance, and originally I went back and forth on adding the erotica in there, but my characters are of legal age 19 and 18, so really there's nothing stopping me from doing it.

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

HI guys! I'm Dallas Laine. I wish I could change my name because it turns out that it's already in use. *snaps finger* Ah, well. I'm writing a romance/erotica story this year for Nano. This is my first year doing Nano, and despite the fact that I know it's going to be hard to pull off, I think I can do it. At least I hope I can. I am a college student. So, you can see my predicament.

I like anime, K-Pop, and a lot of television shows. All of these probably influenced(or will influence) my novel, especially the second one. Haha.

This will be the longest story I've ever written. Most of the time I've only done short stories, typically one to three-shots or a series of one-shots.

I typically write interracial romance, usually Black Woman/White Man. For Nano this year, this will either be my second or first Asian Man/Black Woman story. (Second if I can get this short I'm working on finished. Haha.)

I speak a little Japanese, but I want to become fluent in it one day, along with Korean if I can.

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

As I just saw it is possible to forego on story and plots, which I feel uncomfortable posting online.

I'm Coffee, all my genres contain largish dollops of quite explicit and detailed sex, but in Erotica I really can let rip. Most of my stories in this genre are either direct BDSM, or related to sadomasochistic tendencies, including some of what is quite taboo, like non-con and rape, machinery, supernatural bordering on beastiality motives or violence. Usually I most times catch the exit into making it just enough of a fantasy to appease my publishers. I'll probably hit the glass ceiling there eventually though.

All my stories have a plot and characters more important than the sex per se, bisexuality is usually involved on some level for the guys, polyamorous situations I like to play with in a way so that the reader will need a while to discern he isn't looking at a love triangle or swinging. Lately I started writing pretty straight BDSM in a response to the humongous amount of awful BDSM stories out there.

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

Hi all! I'm Skies, and this year will be my first attempt at writing erotica seriously and at length, outside of short fanfiction drabbles. My story is going to be M/M alien-human interspecies erotica, wherein the focus is on the sexy love story between an astrophysics student and a stranded alien. (With the sub-focus being as much xeno-kink as possible. Delicious, delicious alien anatomy.) My nano track record is 1/3, and last year I started (and didn't finish) a sci-fi novel and tried to tackle way too many themes at once, so this year I'm going for something a bit less complicated.

As an unemployed recent college grad, I should have plenty of time to get to 50k—the real challenge for me will be getting up in the morning and sticking to a schedule. Since I've never written this much erotica, I expect I'll be coming to this part of the forum for inspiration and possibly with questions.

That would be anthropomorphic horror/erotica.

This year, it's mostly erotica with a dose of sci-fi body horror (cybernetic enhancement.) I've already written some parts of this novel so I'm just going to write 50,000 words and see where I end up.

I just yesterday found some old notes for a novel idea I never got around to, so I'm gonna give it a spin and see what happens! I lean toward the paranormal side, so there will be the (I feel) obligatory Succubi/Incubi thing, but beyond that I'm winging it! (NaNo sort of snuck up on me this year.)

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

Hi, my name is strangewhispers and this is a first for me. I have experience in telling stories (ran fantasy/sci-fi rpg for 25 years now with very heavy emphasis on roleplay). I have written a few short stories (nothing professional, nothing longer than a few pages). After years of my wife pushing me to write I decided not to start out small and to jump in to NaNoWriMo. I have some friends that do this and they were extremely excited to get me involved.

My story is set during modern day, about a paranormal hunter. the twist is that she is an actual faerie that started as a human (or at least she thought she was human). Its how she deals with the changes to herself and what it means now that she has become one of the things she used to hunt and how her perspective shifts because of her change.

My only worry is I have several ideas for short stories, trying to mesh them into a longer 50k novel will be what is hardest (well that and actually writing it out I guess) :)

Hello, CalliopeSonnet here. This is my second year doing NaNo. I was not originally planning on writing a novel with an erotic plot, though I get the strong feeling that it is going to take a hard right turn into what my friend affectionately calls smut alley, the first time I take my eyes off my characters.

Temporarily titled "Between the Bones", its about my main character and her sarcastic humorous take on her real life as described through an alter ego she has created. I'm taking a bit of a risk, and basing it off of a personal experience and just putting a twist on it. Might make it steam punk, not really sure. For the time being I'm just going to hold on tight, and hope that my story doesn't run off without me!

I'm Reba. This is my second time signing up for NaNo, but the first year I've got beyond that. Looooooong story. I'm a resident of Northeast Missouri, USA, and a 40-something mother of two daughters. I've written for fun for a number of years, and despite efforts to the contrary, I seem to favor the m/m genre so I'll just go with it. *glares at muse*

My story is about two Catholic school boys who hate each other, at first. But as their Senior year wears on, and circumstances change, they find themselves becoming friends, and then so much more. So far...I've got a working title and a synopsis. Let's see how many words I can force out of myself in 30 days. Best luck to all!

Hello! I'm Serani from Nashville, TN, brand new to NaNo this year. I've written plenty of novel-length stories

The book I'm working on is m/m erotic definitely, but I have a real problem writing something with no plot, so this actually does have one, it just has a lot of sex to go along with it. I have a few chapters already written and a full outline for it, so I'm really really hoping that NaNo can just help me get it finished. "Choices" is set in historical (not accurate, mind you!) Middle East (roughly 1200s) in an as yet unnamed country that keeps pleasure slaves. Two friends find themselves arrested for the third time and are looking at a one-way trip to the city's dungeons but find themselves given a choice instead. Join the palace pleasure slaves or go to the dungeons. Which do they choose?

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

Hi all, from South Carolina, US of A! (wave)

I'm writing Book 2 of a four or possibly five book series. Books 1 and 3 are already under contract, so I am thrilled the time has arrived for NaNo 2011. I couldn't ask for better motivation.

This year's story is a thus-far untitled work of monogamous erotic fiction, featuring a bi-racial FMC and a white MMC.

Cynda's running from a murderous Dom, but when her stolen car overheats, she runs headlong into Daniel. Stuck in the middle of Nowhere, S.C. without enough stolen cash to pay for repairs, she has to take the single option open to her: Pay her way with sex.

As a natural Dom, Daniel would have known immediately Cynda was a sub without the tacky collar locked around her neck. He's attracted to the mocha-skinned beauty, allowing her to stay at his home while he orders the parts needed to repair her car, but he's never going back to the lifestyle, not after he allowed himself to blur the line between submission and servitude, and the sub he adored killed herself in despair.

In fact, the best thing would be to not touch her at all. He can do that; two weeks isn't so long to stare at something you can't allow yourself to have.

Cynda soon realizes she's gonna need to turn up the heat on this hot-yet-cold white guy, before he figures out she can't pay for the expensive parts he's ordered. And all the while, she has to pray that King doesn't come looking for her, because if he finds her, she's sure he'll feed her to his pit bulls,

Chapter One: Complete. See y'all around the forums ;-)

Hi All,

I am Inga, this is my third nanowrimo. I had dismal results the first time around, last year I just about squeezed past the 50k mark. This year I plan to waive aside all distractions, beat the procrastination monster to death and have a serious plot-bunny hunt with lethal, and hopefully wordy, results.

Wish me luck!

My story this year is a M/M erotic story, set in a luxury hotel in London, where a receptionist falls in love with a guest. He pursues his crush with singleminded dedication, and his efforts seem to be paying off, until he discovers that the guest is actually an undercover policeman, investigating a prostitution ring that is working out of the hotel.

As the prostitution ring is unfolded and friends and colleagues are implicated, they will have to trust each other to stay alive but can the budding relationship survive the lies and deceit?

This is a fun, fast-paced story with lots of wit and humor. At least it is in my head. I hope i can do my characters justice!

I'm brand spank'en new to NaNo. I feel unprepared and kind of like someone forgot to hook up my bungee cord to the platform and I'm jumping anyway. I'm sure by the end of the month I'll look like I've taken a jump off a cliff, hair standing on end and all. I'm hoping that this NaNo challenge will kick my butt into writing more and may just build up my ant hill of confidence to a mole hill.

I'll be working on a M/F/M heavy on the M/M (my favorite) in a furturistic earth where humans and aliens have to mate for the survival of both races. Much mayhem and personal discovery ensue.

I've had this story in my head for so long I just want to get it out and into my computer so it and the characters will leave my daydreaming mind alone.

Hi, I'm Ben. I'm doing something REALLY SCARY this year and writing erotica. ._. Trying to prove to myself that no, my friends WON'T desert me and the world WON'T call me a terrible person for the kinks I have, which are not 'common' (example: SSC tentacle sex). I am trying to be brave.

My main character is named Siegfried, and becomes a paranaturalist who specialises in the sexual habits and culture of the paranatural races (merrows, unicorns, dragons, vampires, etc).

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

I'm Deidre from Bethesda, MD. This is, I think, my fourth NaNo. I've never won but I've out huuuuge dents in novels and loved it. All my previous works have included sex to a degree, most towing a dark line, and I decided to just dig into explicit, raunchy, steamy sex scenes (because goodness they are the most fun to write).

In a semi-fantasy setting, the female MC stumbles from our world into this semi-medieval one. She's found by mercenary Ghenri (a race taller, broader, tougher than men with large horns and skin tones from pale golden brown to dark ash-grey) who keep her as a pleasure slave. She climbs to a successful courtesan based on Ghenri tradition and gets tangled up in political intrigue.

This story is giving me the opportunity to write a HUGE range of sex scenes. The MC pairs with many different Ghenri men, another female slave, spies on M/M scenes, is publicly shown/humiliated at a party, participates in an MFF threesome with a client, might be tortured (we'll see), and fulfills several other sexual scenarios with clients.

I'm seriously excited to try writing a wide variety of pairings!

Kalera Ivy McTierney is my pen name for whenever I get formally published. :-)

I've been doing Nano for what... three or four years and have barely won in all of those attempts. In only one of those attempts, I wrote m/m paranormal romance, so I'm happily in my comfort zone

As a Rebel for the second year in a row, instead of original work, I'm choosing to go with fanfiction this year, by way of Twilight. Jacob/Edward, to be exact.

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

Hello, I'm Ivan from Sweden.

This is my second year doing NaNo, and I had a blast last year (and won!) so I'm confident about this year as well.
Normally, I'm an artist and I like to make comics, so I'm keen on telling stories. Writing isn't really one of my strong points, but I do have a penchant for writing thousands upon thousands of words on smut. (in other words, erotica is my thing.)

I wrote an M/M lovestory last year between a viking and a druid set in a viking era, which then became a plot for a comic/project I'm doing.
This year, I'm actually writing about the same characters (I've become very, very attached to my babies) but in a completely different setting. It's sort of dystopian/post-apocalypse/cyberpunk mixed with 'modern' fantasy and of course, erotica.

It's AD 5000 and most of the world's oceans have been draught. Most of the land is barren, and extremely hot. Numerous nuclear wars have been fought, and the human population have been dramatically reduced. There are droids, mutants and demons running rampant on the earth.

My plot follows a young, magic-wielding nomad who works as a rent boy. He gets robbed and ghost-hacked and left on the side of the road, to die. A mechanic picks him up, and takes him back to his place to nurses him back to health. Eager to get all his hard-earned money back, the nomad sells him sex, but they slowly end up falling in love and the mechanic (who is a large, burly man) ends up being his body guard.
Together, they are trying to find their way to the Oasis, while being chased by demons and cult-members who seem very, very interested in the nomad's magical powers...And they have lots of sex. And I mean, lots. I'll probably end up hitting 50K before the actual plot even starts!

Hello all! I'm JFarbs. This is my first attempt at NaNo. We shall see how it goes.

My Novel actually falls within both the erotic fiction and Horror/Supernatural genres. In other words, I am writing a little 'horotica' ;) It started out as a short story. After I was done writing the short story, I quickly realized that there was so much more story to tell. The book is about a BDSM club that is SO much more. I am absolutely loving the character's and the plot (yes, there is a plot). I am so happy to be exploring thier world with them during this crazy November. Even if I don't make it to 50,000 words by the end of the month, I will be proud of what I did accomplish and continue to write this 'Devil' of a story. Forget an outline! I am letting this one write itself! Good luck everyone!

I'm Nancy, widow1950. That's the username I use for online dating. A new experience for a 61 year old who had to figure out how to use her word program on Oct. 31 to be able to write for NaNoWriMo. This is my first time doing anything like this. And, that includes writing erotica. When I read, I tend to gloss over the sex scenes, and now I'm writing them. But, as I chat online on the dating sights, people keep telling me I've lived an interesting life, and I ought to write a book. So, here I am doing just that. Although names have been changed to protect the innocent (or not so innocent), and much has been fictionalized.

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

I guess I should reveal my plot since it's available for anyone to see with a quick glance at my profile ;)

"Alex, a womanizer, has sex with the wrong woman and she curses him, wishing he "knew what it was like for a woman.” Thus begins his genderswap journey as he slowly gains secondary female characteristics. With the help of his female best friend, Alex tries to deal with who he is becoming, while failing to find the woman who set him down this path. Along the way, he and his best friend are becoming closer and their friendship may become something more before Alex's journey is over."

Yes, I'm writing a genderswap erotica. I know it's weird, I KNOW, but I had to get this idea out of my head before I could move on to my next urban fantasy idea. And considering how easily it's flowing so far, I guess I needed to write it :P It's helping me get comfortable writing sex scenes, if nothing else.

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

I'm AtheneBelle. I'm currently writing a fanfic that I would describe as erotic fiction. It takes place in the "Lois and Clark: the New Adventures of Superman" fandom. I guess it would take a little explaining to truly understand my concept but basically there's three universes (versions) in my story. The one which the series was based around (which I'm calling Earth-One or Primary-Universe for my own purposes), one where the Clark (alt-Clark/Earth-Two Clark) became Superman only through the help of Lois from Earth-One and his secret identity is common knowledge to the public. This Clark never met his Lois as she was lost in the Congo years before he moved to Metropolis. Basically that Lois was stolen away from her rightful universe by the Clark from Earth-Three (or Mirror-Universe as I'm calling this one as it's supposed to be the mirror image of the Primary-Universe.) He has a Lois already but she pretty much ignored him and after he was given the idea of "saving" the Earth-Two Lois he decided it was worth it.

In a nutshell, there's a traditional romance storyline in the first couple in that they are married, in love and have a very egalitarian relationship (at least as egalitarian as it can be with Superman as your husband), a long-distance love/love lost storyline (between Earth-Two Clark and Earth-Two Lois) and a very crazy BDSM-like push/pull relationship between the Earth-Three Lois and Clark as well as an Earth-Two Lois and Earth-Three Clark sub-plot and a possible M/F/M (Earth-Three Clark/Earth-Three Lois/Earth-Two Clark) if the true villain of my story (actually none of the ix characters here) REALLY decides to mess with things. And very obviously Sci-Fi in both the characters (I mean, it IS Superman after all) and the storyline plotting.

The working title for the story is "When Worlds Collide-A Tale of Three Universes" but I don't think it will be my final title.

Hey all, Christian Jensen here. I am a self published horror/erotica author writing out New Jersey. I have over 40 books published under my name and a pen name, most of which are erotica. Some of my work has been published by Ravenous Romance, various websites and blogs, I have a non-fiction humourus article coming out in an antholgy called the Myth of Mr. Mom, as well as my own blog and website (under construction) - I am a full time writer who absolutly loves getting a little dirty with my erotica.
For NANO this year I am writing a book called the Black Church, full of sinful sex and naughty images. It's tons of fun, moving along well (although not as well as planned) - and I am doing this in addition to finishing two other books, one for self publication and one for traditional publication.
What else?

This is my first erotic novel. A vampire princess falls in love with her bodyguard (who just so happens to be a demigod). Their relationship is forbidden as she is promised to another man. If they're found out, she will be severely punished and he will pay with his life. Just so happens that forbidden romances are contagious, as her brother, the prince, is in love with her chamber maid. Tsk tsk what to do with my characters lol. I'm really enjoying writing this and the characters seem to just flow through me like none ever have. I'm loving this.

I'm 24 in February, have a 2-yr-old son, and am in the middle of getting divorced. Writing has long been my passion and my escape.

I've written erotic short stories before, but this will be my first time (trying) writing a 50k word erotic fiction story. I also usually write plot-centered, so this will be the first time I'm going to have to let my characters and their preset situations decide what happens.
Anyways, this one is set in the Black Market of an unnamed metropolis, dealing with male prostitution, drugs, crime, and critique on capitalism (where'd that come from?!). I highly doubt I'll be able to hit the 50k, but at least I'll have some good material.

I've been wanting to start my next novel and thought NaNoWriMo would be the way to go since it gives me an excuse to jump in and start right away. I've got a brief synopsis for the piece I'll be working on, which is called "Have Bucket, Will Travel."

Though my stories wind up being about much more than erotica (meaning there are actual plots involved) I hesitated to categorize my story here though it's probably the closest to what I'm writing.

Hey, all!

I'm Atalus, or Clara, and I'm gonna be trying my hand at Erotica this time 'round.
Mind, I don't really consider the piece I'm going to be writing an Erotica, necessarily. Certainly, its aim is to arouse and explore the more sensual side of human interaction, but I can't in good faith bring myself to write a no-plot erotica. It's also gotta have that story, explore the emotional side of sexuality and romance.

So, yeah. Working title's huge: "It Rained When We Walked To The Winspear", which will hopefully change.

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

:)

I'm Sammantha. This year's focus is an erotic/romance. The working title is The Strange Case of Prince Charming and Ugly Marmalade. Not a greatly romantic title. Yet. The only thing I've decided for sure, so far, is that it is centered in my created faux town of Vanity Hollow and that part of the thrill of the story is how many ways the sinfully handsome Latif can avoid showing the love of his life, Marmalade, to his family and friends. It's a game between them that heightens the tension in the bedroom. Both of the main characters are amused by this predicament. Here is this gorgeous man who is chased world-wide by stunningly beautiful women. And yet the woman he's drawn to is. . . not. Not stunning. Not beatutiful. Brilliant, yes. Devious, yes. Not even average. But she holds his heart in her hands.

This is not a companion piece to the wolf books I just launched on amazon.

Exploring these forums a little later than others, but very impressed with the diversity we have here already! I'm Louisa Bacio, and I'm published in erotic fiction. My books range from the traditional M/F to F/F and menage. I'm working on my first "pure" M/M during NaNo and that's because some readers have asked to "see" the story. Since my characters were together for five years before the F showed up, and a lot of that story is actually in my head!, the goal is to get it out onto paper.

Keep a busy lifestyle with work and family, on top of writing. Happy to meet you all here!

Re: Introductions - who are you, what are you writing

*waves* I'm Emma, I'm by no means a published author, but love writing - and as much as I've tried to ignore my 'calling' it seems that my talent is with erotic fiction... can't really share that with the family! haha.

Writing a story for NaNo (but it'll go further than that) about a 'somebody' who falls in love with a 'nobody'.. It has plot to it, it's not all sex and raunch, but that IS a rather large element... so... :)

I'm Spirit Bear and I am a student of all things metaphysical. And I am an artist. I love doing this as it gives me a creative outlet in one other aspect that I would never have done before.

Discovered a few years ago that for the sake of word padding to write out the intimate scenes, and those were some of the best parts of the writing! Like the saying goes 'Go with what you know' :)

One of those PWP - Plot? What plot? writers, eh! Those can be fun too! I'm trying NaNo for the first time, so I'm going to see how I am writing more than just short stories in this subject.

Good luck with the plot, hope it works out well!

What about Unbreakable as a working title? Your heroine sounds very strong, even if she doesn't realize it. It takes a lot of courage to leave an abusive relationship. Even more courage to consider going into a new one...
