Me, not so bad once I stop EDITING and DELETING words... mind you, haven't done today's writing yet, just waiting for my nails to dry. Painting my nails was classic procrastination, I'm afraid :) I will stop rambling and get to the point. I've promised myself a t-shirt or hoodie if I win this year but does anyone know how much the package can be worth before you get hammered for tax? I've tried Googling but I can't work it out. Or has anyone bought anything from OLL and can tell me how much it cost in extra charges? I think the Post Office take a big chunk, like £8 or so, for a start. The last time I had a t-shirt stopped for tax, it was about £5, but there was three of em in there, so I don't know really. I *am* however, considering asking if people all want to put together for merch and order it all at once - it would however mean getting together to get everything at the end of it. I quite regularly buy t-shirts/CDs/books from the US and I have only had something stopped once and that was because it was worth quite a lot. So, here's what I propose - I'll see if we can't get stuff sorted out before the meet. How this would work is I would need everyone to pay for thier product and the part of the postage split between all of us *before* ordering. I'm not carrying the can for this one because I can't afford it. There's currently *nine* people wanting to order stuff, so it's quite a big order to take care of. If it were stopped by customs, I'd also need people to pay thier share of that, but I'd ensure there was paperwork for it anyway. If we're all in agreement on the subject though, I'll set a final deadline so we can *hopefully* get the stuff ordered and shipped before the last 'thank goodness it's all over meet. I'm going to propose that we hold it in the last weekend of January, and the deadline on ordering would be 14 days before. I've found that stuff shows up between 7 and 31 days after I order, so...
