Over halfway there now!

We're getting there, folks! There's only two weeks left of November. We should be roughly halfway to 50k - and I know some of you guys have really rocketed the word counts, well done! - but some of us aren't quite there yet, and I'm one of them! But don't give up, because we can still get there!

I know it's been tough so far, especially as Kai and I have not been able to be around as much as we'd like. Things seemed to have turned a corner, and we should be mostly back on track for the rest of the month. Meets are still happening this week! Thursday and Saturday are both in Cheltenham, and Sunday in Gloucester. Hope to see some folks there.

So, with that said, how is everybody feeling at this point? Are you where you want to be with your novel? If not, how can we get you there? :)

Hey Rae22 and all,

I am about where I should be I reckon. I am not being consistent with how much I am writing per day. But my personal plan was to write "something" per day, whatever else happens, and I have kept to that. Have just tipped the 25k mark, and so am now celebrating by a lil procrastination, watching Kirstie Allsopp’s craft programme.. oh yes, such a manly way to pass the time *nods* ..really, I think she’s awesome ^_^

Tomorrow I start the second half of the novel, and.. I am really looking forward to it. The first half has been based around real events I have been involved in over the past year or so, but the next half I will be taking it almost totally fictitious and very over the top. All good fun.

Here’s to the next couple of week! *cheers*

I'm ahead, but I won't be by friday! No time to write novels when you're parading around london on a series of two for one vouchers! Anyway, I've found the writing process ferreting a lot more difficult lately - the story isn't spilling out like it was at the start. I think I'll need some encouragement when I return to the wagon on friday night :-)

I'm behind. This is my first time and I'm finding it very difficult. I am worried that I am not going to finish as I'm going away for a few days next week as well. I didn't have a clear plot when I started and one isn't developing as I'd hoped. Still I am really enjoying writing. Just wish that I was a little further ahead and had a better idea about what is going to happen :)

Lovely, lovely little things. Honestly, I think I must have done decoupage in a past life.
Ahem.

I'm way behind but then again, I only started writing on Tuesday, so I'm not too down about it.
I'm still enjoying the process and just wish that I had more time to write .

Re: Over halfway there now!

I'm pretty much on track, although due to the problems with the stats yesterday, according to my graph I wrote hardly anything yesterday and then all my words were suddenly added on to today's total. I'm quite pleased I'm not behind because I've had a busy week this week. I've got a slightly quieter week next week so I should be able to go leaping ahead. I'm at quite a fun point in the story with all sorts of funny things happening to the characters and that makes it easier to write than if I'm sitting there wondering what they should do next.
