Felt as though there should be a thread as there was last year, where we can organise write-ins and other events, and also for general East London chit chat.
It is a nice area. Very pleased with my flat (well, shared flat) here. I'm still learning about the area. I occasionally go exploring down random roads to see where I end up. I did enjoy finding out that I can walk to Westfield in half an hour.
As in past years I shall definitely be organising a write-in or two at the Pembury Tavern in Hackney. The place does lovely beer and food, serves mulled mead over the winter and has a bar billiards table. The only problem with holding a write-in there is that it does lovely beer and food, serves mulled mead over the winter and has a bar billiards table! _But_, if you can ignore the oh-so-attractive distractions then it's a lovely place to write. Also it has free wifi, but no one's forcing you to use it...! ;o)
I moved to Walthamstow area just four months ago, so after five years of North London I'm finally back in the East! Really enjoying E17 so far, so it might be a permanent migration. :)
I'm pretty sure my flatmate is planning on running a weekend write-in at one of our locals, not sure where/when yet though.
I live near Lea Valley Ice Skating Centre im sure i can get the landlord of the Hare & Hounds on Lea Bridge Road to have a Write-in if thats close to anyone.
I'm more of a South-East Londoner. I live in Erith, which is near Dartford, and Bexleyheath, but nearer to Bexleyheath. Can't wait 'til NaNo. My first year this year.
East Greenwich cheapy flat. I wrote around twenty thousand words of fiction in 2 days once, that's my record XD. The arrogant narrator I used left this massive footprint on me though, so I still channel him at times.
I live in Barking but I'm a bus driver and my route (the 254) goes through Hackney and Clapton. Have always wanted to try out the Pembury Tavern since discovering it's a pub. Anyway, it would be nice to meet up some time if my work times don't clash :)
:D I've had some holiday time off for the past two weeks but go back tomorrow (boo!). It might seem weird but say do say hello if you ever get on board :P I promise not to bite.
Hey guys, I'm doing NaNoWriMo for the very first time this year. I live in Ilford and work in Stratford, and meet-ups would definately help motivate me, provided they don't clash with my work schedule (my boss is an evil bitch and I'm going to name a character after her and then kill her off violently in my novel). Has everyone here done NaNoWriMo before? am I the only noob? :)
Im new to it too, I have some of my work mates wanting me to base characters on them but they want to tell me what to name them and no one wants to have my badie as them.
I found this as I has a dream that I thought could be part of a story so I bought some how to books and found my way here (I cant wait to start, I have been in reasearch mode since.)
Hello all.
Felt as though there should be a thread as there was last year, where we can organise write-ins and other events, and also for general East London chit chat.
Hallo! I moved out to Leyton in April. :)
How are you finding it so far? I like Leyton, nice area.
It is a nice area. Very pleased with my flat (well, shared flat) here. I'm still learning about the area. I occasionally go exploring down random roads to see where I end up. I did enjoy finding out that I can walk to Westfield in half an hour.
Whereabouts are you?
I'm on the other side of the River Lea in Clapton at the north end of Hackney. I wonder if any others will be joining us?

I look forward to write-ins which allow me to just hop on a bus :D
I moved to Walthamstow, East London about... five days ago. Hello. Local write-ins welcome, especially if (when) I fall behind.
Jinx! And I think Rach & Alastair were talking about doing one near us? Not sure though.
As I said (and indeed as Shiiuga also said), anything I don't have to try hard to reach sounds amazing to me. Sign me on.
You are allowed to call me Patrick, you know ;)
Sometimes I forget I'm not on Twitter. Don't worry, it'll never happen in real life as I have no idea how to prnounce "Shiiuga".
Or how to spell "pronounce".
It's ok, I've been using Shiiuga for about ten years now and I'm not sure how to pronounce it.

Yay for East London c: I just moved in to New Cross a few weeks ago
East London write-ins would be awesome!
I live near Lea Valley Ice Skating Centre im sure i can get the landlord of the Hare & Hounds on Lea Bridge Road to have a Write-in if thats close to anyone.
The ice skating centre isn't far from me at all!
Just found a house in Stratford (during the Olympics, no less!) and loving it, it's such a nice area. Was always a South Londoner before!

What about this East London write-in?
Hi,
I live in Barking but I'm a bus driver and my route (the 254) goes through Hackney and Clapton. Have always wanted to try out the Pembury Tavern since discovering it's a pub. Anyway, it would be nice to meet up some time if my work times don't clash :)

OHAI 254 driver! The 254 goes past the end of my road. I use it regularly!
:D I've had some holiday time off for the past two weeks but go back tomorrow (boo!). It might seem weird but say do say hello if you ever get on board :P I promise not to bite.
I sometimes take the 158, if I ever recognize you I'll come and say hi! ;)
