Need help on trees at Place Rogier, Brussels

Hi,
I am revising my novel, a subplot is located in Brussels. Maybe someone of you is located in Brussels and can help me out?

My character stays in a hotel at Place Rogier and I would like to mention the kinds of trees that are planted at Place Rogier to characterize my main character (he is profound in Botany). I have stayed at Place Rogier a couple of times but haven't thought much about it then :(

I guess it's either young plane trees or maple trees.

Nice to know that someone is locating parts of their novel in Brussels. :)
Even though I live closeby, I don't really know myself (I have never really been good at identifying trees), but I think it is rather plane trees instead of maple.
I hope I helped out!
