I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed yesterday. For me it was Luxembourg's first-time-ever real Write-In, with more than two people attending, illicit (& succulent) brownies (thank you, Captain!), very cool people complete with very cool headphones, NaNo merch and table tents, and I actually got some words down which will not end up on the editing floor but will be in a chapter somewhere in the early middle.
For some mysterious reason I was completely zonked when I got home, and went to bed early so I could wake up early and add more words.
I also read the first chapter of the wonderful Martha Alderson's Plot Whisperer, which is a really excellent book (I think Yvonne has a link to her in the link list).
I don't know why I am telling you this, ha ha, perhaps because I still feel so elated and happy and a tiny voice inside tells me that this may well be the Year of the Shitty First Draft.
Have a wonderful Sunday, a great writing week & here's to wildly upping our word counts.

Hello to Everyone in Our Lovely Writing Posse!
Our first Write-In was imbued with the best writing karma one could ever hope for. Admiral Cecile, I agree with you on all points. Thanks so much for sharing the Nano Merch. It added an official, sponsored taste to our meeting. But the entire experience was carried by all of the conviviality and interest shared. We sat there at Exki like a group of old friends. I left walking on a cloud of knowing that I had just spent nearly three hours in commune with other writers, who also happen to be a bunch of nifty and open human beings.
Mina, you will have a grandiose time next Saturday!
Our First Write In Rawked, yay!

Hey Cecile!
That's a nice report you did! :)
I'm quite sure we all felt the same (zonked of course, mwahaha!)
But at least you managed to write good useful words! We're very proud of you! ;)
All: I haven't forgotten the pics!! They are on today's agenda :)
