I don't know if brony is a gender specific term, but I'm definitely a fan. I never thought I'd like Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash as much as I do. Rarity, too.

I think whether the term "brony" is gender-neutral is entirely up to whoever it's being applied to. My wife considers herself a brony, but some female fans I know do not.

I LOVE this show. I've been a My Little Pony fan since the original movie, so of course I had to check out the new series and I ended up loving it ^_^

Actually what got my instantly hooked was the first scene with Fluttershy, because it's totally me in pony form, lol. Down to the squeak and then the "OMG, baby dragon!".

My Little Pony is like my favorite cartoon. Ever. End of story.

I'm also doing a FiM fic for this year, which will naturally require a lot of research. And of course by research I mean watching the episodes again :D

I'm not as obsessed with the show as some people out there, but yeah, I love it. I still feel a little awkward watching the opening theme, since I'm so FANTABULOUSLY masculine, but I've been getting over it slowly. It helps that my roommate plays fan remixes of the show's songs all the time. Sigh.

Fanfilly here! I love the show and have been considering writing some fic for it, if I could just get the ideas to gel. My favorite pony is Rarity, beating out Twilight Sparkle by only a hair.

So great to see this thread in the forums! I tried to start one during the hiatus when no one was around, but since no one was around it obviously went nowhere... :B

But yeah, brony here, Fluttershy fan all they way (although all of the mane six are pretty great), and I'm considering writing a sort-of-fanfic-sort-of-not story... it's complicated.

I got into the show because of an argument and flame war that started on SPUF (Steam User Forums). I had one really logical person give a logical answer as to why he liked the show. I went to youtube to see what the hype was about and well, 26 episodes later here I am. :)

Out of the mane six, I'm going with Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash (tied in first) with Twilight being a close close third. ROFL I can't stand Rarity's vanity, and Fluttershy drives me absolutely nuts, she's almost TOO sweet a char. Applejack is better of the three but seems almost like a generic stereotype. :/

I'm a girl who considers herself a brony, I think it's all in who you are, but seriously this show. Pinkie Pie has inspired me to be a better person. I just... Pinkie's my favourite, and I may have to slip a reference into my novel this year. They can have steeds or something.

If you can't tell by the icon, my favorite is Twilight. (Mainly because...she's me. As a pony.) I've been obsessed with the show since March, and I'm loving the new season so far. (Luna episode! Two weeks! Yaaaay.) I also may have the mane ponies on my desk. Where I do the bulk of my writing.

(Did actually debate on finishing my FiM fic for either Nano or the PonyNano on EQD last month. I didn't because of time constraints and my fic is pretty much jossed two episodes in.)

Bronies! Yay for Bronies! I'm doing a steampunk epic this year, and if you can't tell, Sweetie Belle is the pony I identify with most, followed by Rainbow Dash. (I get the wait...what, spaced moments of Sweetie Belle far too often in real life)
