Maybe he'd be obsessed with trinkets or shiny objects. Maybe he has a tendency to speak in a different pitch to sound more like one of the faeries. If this race of faeries can fly, maybe he can climb really fast and really high to catch up with them. If the faeries are smaller than humans (though I'm guessing not small as bugs, just short), maybe he tends to slouch to fit in more. Or maybe he is seen as lower than the faeries, and must bow down a lot. Maybe he likes to dance in circles. I've heard some stories of faeries dancing around in a fairy ring. Maybe he's nocturnal. Maybe he has highly trained senses in case he needs to run from something. Maybe he shuns iron and silver, which counteracts magic. If the faeries live centuries longer than people, maybe he thinks he's going to live as long, too, and speaks of a couple decades or centuries as if it's no big deal. Maybe he eats things raw, the faeries are more animal and/or nature-based. Also, some say that faeries can't enter religious buildings. Many people would just think he has something against the religion, when in fact he thinks of himself as a faery that just can't. If the faeries like to move around a lot, maybe he can't sit still. If the faeries like to keep hidden a lot, maybe he tends to crouch low, crawl, or stay in shadow. Maybe he likes to curse magical things even though as a human he can't. Or if the faeries' magic kind of rub off on him, maybe someday they actually work. I hope these random ideas help!
