"Urban" means something that has to do with a city or similar populated area. Jim Butcher's Dresden Files are urban fantasy, as are the numerous similar series out there. On the other hand, a story that takes place way out in the country, for example about someone discovering faeries in an ancient forest in the modern world, would not be urban fantasy. It gets very confusing when you look at all the sub-genres; not everyone will agree on definitions. For that matter, a lot of people can't agree on what fantasy means too. Although I must say that I think High Fantasy is very similar to Epic Fantasy (The two are often used interchangeably) except that high fantasy is slightly smaller (or less epic lol) in scope.
