ALL ABOARD THE SPACESHIP WRIMONIA!

Captain Stevie stood on the passenger boarding dock, hands clasped loosely behind her back, standing in a very relaxed fashion. Very captain-like, she thought. She smiled at a group of passengers who appeared to be discussing something important. They shuffled and adjusted their glasses uncomfortably, quieting to a whisper. Scientists . . .

She didn’t trust scientists all that much. (Not that they had any reason to trust her. . .) It was probably all that jargon that they liked to throw around in casual conversation like everyone knew what they were saying. They probably weren’t really saying anything at all, just rambling nonsense and then laughing snootily about it behind the backs of the undereducated later. The smile slipped a bit, then gradually spread into a grin.

She got a bit braver and nodded knowingly at them. They stopped talking and boarded the ship quickly. Stevie looked up and saw a disheveled-looking man leading a group of intergalactic police officers across the space-station, his face pink with rage and good dose of humiliation.

“Okay, everyone on the ship!” Stevie said cheerfully to the remaining passengers who lingered on the dock. She herded them in like sheep and slipped in after them, closing and latching the doorway behind her and rushing into the control room in a very unprofessional manner, pushing and shoving to get through the crowd of befuddled scientists, who believed that they were all being shipped to a colony on the planet Magrathea to help with research there.

On board the ship was one of every scientist that existed. Every type that Stevie could think of off the top of her head anyway, plus a bunch that she’d never heard of before. Among the 20 or so passengers there was an Archaeologist, a Paleontologist, a Meteorologist, a Zoologist, a Theoretical Physicist, a Microbiologist, a Geneticist, an Immunologist, a Botonist, an Ecologist, a Neuroscientist, an Entomologist, a Volcanologist, a Geologist, a Biochemist, a Marine Biologist, a Pathologist, an Astrophysicist, an Ichthyologist, and a Lepidopterist. God only knows what half of them even do.

A small, lithe shadow darted in between the shiny chrome spaceships in the station, his eyes on the one that lay on the boarding dock. The Wrimonia, he thought with a grin. He spotted the captain and his grin grew wider. It appeared as if he wasn’t the only one up to some mischief. He wove into the crowd and boarded the spaceship among the scientists. He quickly darted off and was up into the air ducts before anyone detected his presence.

Once they had left the Earth’s atmosphere, Stevie put in the coordinates and put the ship on cruise control. It felt nice to be aboard the Wrimonia again. The Intergalactic Committee of Space Travel had taken away her pilot’s license after her ship had been ravaged by aliens not once, but three times. This was her time to prove that she could do a job right. She would get these scientists to Magrathea and then they would give her license back. They would have to after they saw the wonderful job she did.

She walked into the lobby to address the passengers:

“Welcome to my ship! Your rooms have been assigned, odd numbers to the left, even to the right. . .” She was cut off by the crackling of the intercom:

Dearest People,

Please know that there is a zombie bent on eating your brains aboard your ship.

You won't find it though. And you don't know about it either.

Sincerely,
Your Worst Nightmare

The passengers looked around in a panic. “Everyone stay calm!” Stevie shouted. “That is just my co-captain playing tricks. Nothing is wrong. You may go to your cabins now!”

It is now NIGHT. Roles, you have until 10:00PM EST on Saturday to send in your decisions.

Emma looked strangely at the captain. There was something amiss with that message, and the look on the captain's face showed a slight twinge of fear, at least that is what she thought.

Stevie made her way back to her office and found it empty, desk chair spinning lazily. She smiled when she realized the air duct was hanging open slightly. "So," she said. "We meet again. That you Spags?" She went into the kitchen a brought back a plate of Newt's special recipe brownies and placed them in the ducts. Even if it wasn't her old stowaway pal, they might enjoy it.

Mingo wandered around the ship, trying to make sense of the turmoil inside her head. She had a bunch of thoughts and memories, but they were all fuzzy. They felt like distant memories. Almost as if they had occurred in an alternate dimension.

There had been a small town, she remembered, with twenty people living in it. There’d been a . . . mafia, whatever that was. She’d . . . died? No, that couldn’t be right, she was here, and she was very much alive. She remembered something about a unicorn dating a dragon, and a castle ball.

She rounded the corner. She remembered . . . it’d had something to do with . . .

“DARK!” she shouted, looking up from the ground. Sure enough, there he was, right in front of her. He was the only thing she remembered clearly. The kisses, the hugs . . . the words “I love you.”

She ran to him at full speed and gave him a tacklehug, but with not quite enough force to actually knock him over. For one terrifying second, she was afraid that he didn’t remember the things she did, but she quickly dismissed the thought. This was Dark. They loved each other. “I missed you,” she whispered.

"Woah!" Dark smiled as Mingo practiaclly tackled him. "I see you made it," he smiled, kissing the top of her head. "I missed you too." He squeezed her tightly, wondering how many of the others from the town had come out here.

Mingo smiled at Dark. "You didn't think I'd miss out on a chance to leave Earth, did you? This is going to be so exciting. There's so much research I'm going to be able to do, so many groundbreaking discoveries to make . . ." Her smile got even bigger. "And, of course, you're here."

Clary walked and sat on to a bench immediatly passing out for a long time. She almost looked dead but believe me she is not dead.

"Of course, my love," Dark smiled. He looked around at the other passengers, then gave Mingo a wicked smile. "Shall we have some fun before going off to our quarters?"

Mingo momentarily ignored Dark and walked over to the bench and frowned. What was wrong? Somehow, she knew that the person's name was Clary. "Clary?" she asked, not sure weather Clary could hear her.

Haha, wrong "weather." I meant "whether."

Emma looked around her. There was two people discussing something, a third coming into the group.

Epic strolled around the corridors, searching the ship curiously. Her work was taking her to many far off regions, and she was excited. It was her first space voyage, but hopefully not the last.

Dark followed closely. He cocked his head at Clary. "Well, that's not good," he said, kneeling down beside her to see if she was breathing.

Mingo saw Clary take a breath and sighed in relief. "Thank goodness. She's alive. But I wonder what's wrong."

Clary failed to respond but she was indeed breathing. She groaned and buried her face in the bench.

((This is what happens when you give me spunk!!! Well at least you'll see soon enough.... mwahah.))

Rain came in, black hooded cape billowing behind her. She was always one for drama, and that cape did it for her. She took off a fake mustache and threw the hood over her head, pulling out a pipe. She sat in a corner, giving a two fingered wave at the world.

Mingo debated inside her head on whether or not to try to shake Clary awake. She decided to try. She shook Clary's shoulder and said, "Wake up!"

Clary opened her eyes and stared at the girl for a long time before yawning. She looked rather tired and took to bashing her head against the bench.
