But this isn't actually a ghost, more of a supernatural entity with ghost-like qualities, and he is definitely able to interact with the physical world. The tricky bit is that it/he's something like a thought form, created from a story that someone came up with on the internet, but it/he works as though he is several hundred years old as per the legend of its/his origin. To top it all off, there was a legend in our neighborhood that the house we lived in was the sight of a suicide wherein a teenage girl hanged herself from the big tree in the back yard. You do know it's possible to make a message appear on a fogged up mirror without being in the room, right? What you do is, when you have a shower, write something on the mirror, then open a window. When the condensation has disappeared, you close the window and wait. Provided the mirror doesn't get wiped in the interim, it will reappear next time the mirror gets fogged up. Used to do it to my sister all the time. Yes. I'm mean. But, as to suggestions, long, scratch like marks through the mist might work - esp if at about finger distance apart. Or the character's name?
