My MC, is attacked in the same week by both a werewolf and a vampire (really bad luck) But instead of becoming either a werewolf or vampire she is a hybrid. I just can't make up my mind about some of what that means. I already know she can go out into the sunlight, but will get sunburned after a few hours (but not die) She does change into a wolf (Not sure if she will all the way, at the full moon only. Or if she can by will or when she becomes angry) She does need blood. She growls when she is annoyed/whines when frightened ect. I think there should be more but i cant decide what..
This was done in the underworld movies and more recently in the vampire diaries tv show. In Underworld Michael doesn't seem to fit into either world. So I'd say take a look at them. They don't have problems with sunlight or vampire weaknesses. In the vampire diaries a werewolf bite is lethal to a vampire. In Underworld it's only a certain blood line that can be a hybrid. If it was that simple -as you sugesst- woudln't the vampires/werewolves be trying to become hybrids and be stronger. I think you need to watch the film underworld to get an idea of what im trying to say.
I would imagine a hybrid like this would have problems with her self esteem because she'll have a very hard time trying to fit in, and after an incident like this she would never have her life back to normal. The initial revelation to her that she is what she is would likely cause a depression strong enough to entirely change who she is. Others will not recognize her except by appearance after that, and werewolves and vampires are known to affect even appearance. The condition of being a werewolf (and in many version of the vampire, too) would make it extremely difficult to ever in the future getting pregnant, so she knows even if she can love and be loved, a child in her future is extremely improbable. Not to mention, werewolves and vampires are both outlaws in each others' societies, and both are outlaws to the human society. She would face legal difficulties in addition to all of this.
The mental battle will be tough, to make a long story short.
Something that never seems to come up when stories being up the concept of a werewolf/vampire hybrid has to do with their basic biology.
A vampire is undead. Their bodies are dead and so the intake of blood is necessary to keep their bodies functioning.
A werewolf is alive. Also, they are virtually invulnerable except for silver so their body heals very, very quickly. They also have a ravenous hunger when they change.
Herein lies the rub. How does the biology of the werewolf infection deal with the fact that the host body is dead (undead actually)? Hmmm . . . if they eat while in werewolf form, would they vomit up all of the meat because they're undead body can't process the solid material? Would this ravenous hunger translate over to the vampire side in that she could hardly stop herself from constantly gorging on blood?
Would they change at all or would the infection just settle into them and, being dead, never change? What I mean is the MC caught in an in-between form because the infected cells don't change anymore?
Silver would no longer be an issue because it's toxic to the werewolf physiology, but being undead, the toxicity couldn't spread to the other cells (wouldn't matter anyway because the other cells are dead anyway).
I always love to argue that when using vampire/werewolf hybrids, it should be imperative to explain that their creation be extremely dangerous, so as to emphasis that these creatures are rare. To have both powerful bloodlines in a character is a huge positive, what with all the supernatural abilities they have, which should only be balance by giant negatives like the aforementioned creation/reproduction to be improbable. An example of this would be Klaus in The Vampire Diaries. This would probably help you in terms of getting ideas on fairness: http://vampirediaries.wikia.com/wiki/Hybrid (skip to Powers and Abilities and Weaknesses).
Personally, I stray far from writing hybrids as MCs (I rarely write any, except maybe when I want to intensify the aspects of fear and death) because they're pretty messy in my style. Then again, when I'm writing short stories and fan fiction, I go wild with them (but they still die in the end).

Unless I'm right off track of your idea

Re: Vampire/Werewolf Hybrid
Yeah, and both sides are seeking her out for their own reasons. To destroy her, gain her power ect.
Thanks for the help :D

Lots of questions there methinks . . .

Not to mention, the grammar and spelling mistakes in my post make it look like a 3rd grader wrote it. LOL!
