A thread to honor those you killed off and felt bad about killing off.
I just want to say thank you to Samantha Blaine, who took a bullet to the chest by the baddie, for being the perfect mother figure to my orphaned FMC. I feel really bad about killing you off, but I named my FMC's baby after you.
RIP Toni who I know wouldn't want to be called by her full name, Tonia, who just bled to death. I'm sorry I had to kill you and have Morgan take your place, and I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to reconcile with Michael before you died. If it makes you feel any better, the bad guys get shot after you die. And I might feel bad enough to write your story on its own, too.
And don't worry, no one will ever bring flowers to your grave because they know if you were alive you would burn them.
RIP Brooke. I'm sorry I turned you into a zombie and then made you take a pickaxe to the head. I'm also sorry you died before you could tell the guy you loved that you loved him.
RIP Richard - Because I kind of liked him in my mind and never really had the chance to flesh him out. I really don't like having any of my characters being "throw away" but, shoot, the ghost needed somebody to kill.
RIP Random dog that was found in the alley. You were inspired by my pet who died and I sobbed over you more than I probably should have, and almost as much as I did more my pet. You brought emotions to my characters that I hadn't that I would be able to write in them. Thank you for being such a dear in your last moments. I'll never forget you, and I promise you won't be edited out.
Peter; poor soul. I'm sorry that you had to die, but at least it was quick right? The biggest regret I have regarding your demise was that you died before Catherine could tell you the truth. It's alright; she'll be joining you shortly and everything will be made clear.
RIP Prince Joseph. You were supposed to be mean but then you became charming and a great husband and father and then you died. I'm sorry that I didn't even tell how you died, just that you did.
Heh, the only character I actually killed off was named Cockburns, and he immediately came back as a ghost...and also Morgan Freeman. His new name after that was Ghost-Cockburns-Morgan-Freeman.
RIP Asmani. You died rather needlessly offstage, and I'm already thinking I might need you for the sequel. But really you were kind of a baddie, and besides your name isn't even a very good fake name.
R.I.P. Malkim. You were supposed to be the baddie, and then you showed a flash of understanding and became a fierce friend of the protagonist instead. I never knew how to reconcile that, but I never meant for you to die at the hands of your best friend.
R.I.P. Marmaduke. Sorry, but mentors have to die, its the rule. At least you faced your death with dignity. I'm really sorry that your daughter undergoes a mental breakdown because of this... Don't worry, they catch the killer :)
RIP Adrian Peters and Christine West. I'm sorry that you (Adrian) were found stabbed several times, and you (Christine) drank poison so you could be forever united with your best friend, and boyfriend, in heaven. Don't worry, somebody you know will be with you soon.
R.I.P. Quincy Dale. I never really understood you, however useful you proved to be for my MC and his friends. He shouldn't have dumped you like that as soon as he found his wife. If it's any comfort, they both die, soon, and painfully.
RIP Dexter Blythe. You only lasted 6,000 words and the entire plot revovled around bringing you back from the dead, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Continue to rest in peace until I actually write the ending.
RIP Allifair Hartley, my MC. Even though I'm not sure you're dead, and you lasted just shy of the 54k words, you went through a lot of awfulness to get to the end and at this point, you're not human anymore anyway, so does it matter? Poor kid. There's a reason your name is in the title.

Re: RIP Favorite Character I Killed Off...
RIP Mr. Ray, you were evil, but burning to death, and bubbling until you become a pool of ash and blood was not my idea of a perfect ending... :3
