I'm doing Script-Frenzy, both Camps, and then JulNoWriMo, most likely. And this un. Not really sure what more is out there, to be honest.

So what's everyone doing? ^^

Re: What's your WriMo schedule for 2012?

I've got Script Frenzy, both Camps and the usual NaNoWriMo ahead. And if that's not enough, there are a couple contests I'm gonna try to win (or at least get shortlisted for). And the tiny inconvenience of my bachelor thesis *might* get in the way, too.

...looking at that, that sounds a little crazy ô.O

Re: What's your WriMo schedule for 2012?

I'm doing the Feb/March 60k in 60 days (although I'm really doing 90k in 60 days). I'm doing another thing that's 325k in 365 days which started Feb 1, so everything counts for that (including blog posts, I just remembered. I need to go count those up! I've only been counting my novel). IF I get the 90k done before about mid-March I will look seriously at Script Frenzy, but if I'm working right up til the end of March, that won't happen. I'll be in Uganda all of May - if I have a brilliant idea, I'll do the June Camp, but if not...no. I may go to a writers conference in July. Then NaNo in November. That's all on the schedule at the moment.

I'm also editing my NaNo novel, and will be working on finding an agent/publisher, etc, starting this month (I hope!). oh, and life keeps happening whether I want it to or not! :o)

I won JanNo already; then I'll do Script Frenzy, Camp June, JulNo, Camp July, GothNo and NaNo. My schedule says for these WriMos I'll do 50k each. In February, March, May, September and December I am aiming for 25k to 30k minimum per month.
(This thread remembers me I still have some planning to do for the Camp Sessions.)

I'm probably not going to do Script Frenzy. I've never been one for script writing, but that's just me.
I plan on doing June Camp, and writing into July. Maybe I'll do August Camp, as well?
For the next for months I'll just be planning my novel. I'm hoping to get 100k this time around (to redeem myself from last November...). I'm rewriting my NaNo '10 novel "Larenium" which I never actually finished. However, the idea is near and dear to me and I loved the plot.
Maybe I'll do NaNo in November, but I'm usually especially busy that time of year.

Re: What's your WriMo schedule for 2012?

I'm doing WriYe for the first time this year, and I'm going for a million words. I've decided to break down my year as follows:

JanNo - 100k (complete)
FebNo - 50k
March - edit/outline
ScriptFrenzy - 20k (estimate since that counts by page)
MayNo - 100k
June Camp - 100k
JulNo - 100k
August Camp - 100k
SeptNo - 100k
OctNo - 80k
NaNo - 250k
December - rest/edit

I'm about 8k behind right now, but I plan on getting caught up this weekend. This is going to be a busy year, but I need to push myself to write more, so I've decided to go for it. Next year is definitely going to be the year of editing. :D

I'll probably do Script Frenzy again this year; I didn't take it very seriously last year, and don't intend to take it seriously this year either.

We'll see what happens when Camp rolls around. The intention is there, but the motivation and time will be something I'll need to determine at that point. Last year, life just got in the way.

Re: What's your WriMo schedule for 2012?

I got no idea what I'm doing this year

I had planned to have the first draft of my 2011 Nano finished by the end of March so I could start editing and revising, but I'm hung up on finishing a fanfiction I've dedicated a lot of time and energy to writing and I cant really focus on much else writing wise other than planning and developement.

However, now I've enrolled to do my Diploma of Fine Arts this year so thats going to take up a lot of time, plus around November the class has to organise and put on a gallery exhibition so I dont even know if I'm gonna be able to participate in NaNo this year with everything going on *sighs*

I do however have plans to write a short story for submission to TOR, but I'm having trouble thinking of a story to write >>;

So pretty much my current plan is

Finish my Fanfic as I'm only a handful of chapters away from finishing the story
write a short story
finish my NaNo
and MAYBE get something ready for NaNo 2012

Re: What's your WriMo schedule for 2012?

So far only regular NaNo is definite.

2010-2011 was my first year in this community and I did 2010 NaNo and then 2011 Screnzy, JulyCamp, and 2011 NaNo, but although I like writing, it was just too much -- by 2011 NaNo I'd almost lost all enthusiasm for writing, and I had to scrap all my plans for original fiction and go back to fanfic just to get writing again. I did well, very well in fact, but the experience wasn't an unadulterated joyous one, and that is just not a good feeling.

So, yeah, I recently had an idea for a novel, which I'm going to take my time for since I totally love it, and I think 2012 NaNo will be my only activity this year. I'll be cheering you all on from the sideline though ;)

Then, NaNoEdMo, both Camps (hopefully!) and the regular NaNo next December. :D

Re: What's your WriMo schedule for 2012?

This isn't sure, at the moment, but I think it's basically my plan.

Jan: I did, blissfully, nothing.
Feb: I've done 18/20 days, with 90/100k so far. :) (ahaha I had a week off and begun a self-nano and it mutated.)
March: Probably only fanfictions and editing.
April: On vacation, otherwise would consider Screnzy.
May: Planning.
June: Camp Nano, to be done in 10 days because after that I have exams.
July: A five-day Nano attempt, and depending on how that goes, a one-day Nano attempt.
August: Camp Nano
Sept: Probably a little crying, here.
Oct: Planning
Nov: Nano
Dec: Editing, but that isn't super likely, really.

Oh gosh, seriously. I just hit my 90k for my self-nano and it's almost scary. This is the longest thing I've ever written. I'm afraid it might eat me in my sleep.

Just had to Google GothNoWriMo and SciFiWriMo. Do both take place in October? Or is SciFiWriMo scheduled for a different month? No real dates posted for either, I just assumed G. was October, because that's when the last posts were dated (pretty much). I added the links for both, not under WriMos (not yet, anyway), but under genre, at LinksAPlenty.

Re: What's your WriMo schedule for 2012?

Hmm, well my plans have changed somewhat (as I am prone to waffling), but here's the latest incarnation. This is the first year I've tried focusing on short stories, so it's been an interesting adjustment:

January – "The Wolves We Are"
February – "The Wolves We Are" and "Three Tequila, Floor"
March - "Three Tequila, Floor"
April – Script Frenzy (comic strip), "Three Tequila, Floor", and "Building a Better Mouse"
May - "Building a Better Mouse"
June – Camp NaNoWriMo (6-10 short stories), "Building a Better Mouse", and "Cultural Infestations"
July - "Cultural Infestations"
August – Camp NaNoWriMo (6-10 short stories), "Cultural Infestations", and "A Song for Vacuums"
September - "A Song for Vacuums"
October – "A Song for Vacuums" and "Favors"
November – NaNoWriMo (novel) and "Favors"
December - "Favors" and "Bringing Sarah Home"

I'm actually hoping to get more than that done, but for the moment I'm just trying to keep on top of my serial story postings. :p

I'm busy editing 2011's NaNo Novel. I aim to have that reasonably well done by, along with the planning for my next novel, by the end of May. Then I'll do the June Camp. I haven't decided yet about August, depends on how busy I am and if I can come up with a good idea. Definitely doing NaNoWriMo in November again. All the months in between are for editing/planning/relaxing.

So my schedule is:

So far I'm sure about
Jan - JanNoWriMo (52k)
Feb - FebNoWriMo (41k -failed)
Mar - MarchNoWriMo
Apr - April Fool's or ArpNoWriMo, lets see which board cleans up best ;)
July - JulNoWriMo
Nov - NaNoWriMo
Dec - NaNoFiMo

For the other months I'll just be looking for some nice boards and will join in. Might join for CampNaNo again as well. At least I'm planning on writing every month!

I don't like scripts, so I'm not going to even bother trying to do one for Frenzy, however I am planning on editing my Camp novel during that instead. Or maybe finishing it is a better idea haha. Not sure if I'll do Camp, if I do it'll only be one, as I found out last year I don't have the steam to do two months solid haha. Then NaNo itself, of course. I might end up editing my 11 nano during Camp.

Re: What's your WriMo schedule for 2012?

I'm calling this my writing year, and am seriously going for the gold. I've got an ongoing project, a long, four person POV novel for fun that I hope to eventually publish, it's looking to be over 100K at this rate. (I'm maybe a quarter of the way through the story, halfway through Part One of Three, and it's already over 25K.) I also already have a novel idea for the summer camps. I'll probably do both of them for the one novel. In the fall, I plan to do NaNo again, though I only have one idea so far for it, and I'd like two or three to pick from. December is editing month for the Camp Novel, and then January and February will be editing for my year long novel. I'll edit the NaNo novel next March, about 11 months from now. I've also recently started doing short stories, as I joined a multi-round competition involved twists on After School Specials. Even if I don't make it through, I'm going to keep using the prompts for my own writing, see if I can't make it work. Plus, I have an idea for another short story, which takes place in the same universe as my current idea for my NaNo novel.

All in all, let's see:

1 Year Long Novel.
1 NaNo Novel.
1 Two Month Summer Novel.
1 Edit in 2012.
4-6 Short Stories.

I think I'll be writing about... let's see, 100K for my year long, 50K a piece for the summer and NaNo, that's 200K, plus the short stories. I'd say, at minimum, about 220K this year. And I'm already 25K in, and it's the end of March. Here's hoping I can finish my year long by July!

Re: What's your WriMo schedule for 2012?

Alas, my Masters dissertation means I can't reasonably do Camp NaNo, much as I adored it last year. My failure at the last two years of NaNoWriMo shows I can't reasonably do both an essay and a challenge at the same time, so I'm not going to be doing Script Frenzy. But come November, I will have finished my course, probably won't have a full-time job by that point and can have the freedom to really commit to NaNoWriMo. So that is this year's schedule for me - aiming to win one challenge rather than attempt lots of them!

Re: What's your WriMo schedule for 2012?

BAM-- I just won ScriptFrenzy last month. Best feeling ever after my burn-out in November.

I have a few plots picked out [from zeh forums-- guilty as charged] for Camp this summer. I'm doing both sessions, but skipping July-- as I still have summer reading, and I WILL BE GETTING MY LICENSE [hopefully.] FINALLY. As New Jersey makes us wait SO LONG in order to get it.

I also have quite a few other projects going on-- I have a separate screenplay I'm doing, as well as a bunch of Beta projects for FanFiction and FictionPress. Then finals coming up soon. Blech.

July, September, October, December are going to be edit dates unless I discover another WriMo I was unaware about. As I have completed everything I need to graduate my high school (with the exception of English and Phys. Ed), senior year has been packed with art classes. Yes.

Re: What's your WriMo schedule for 2012?

I've had a busy year writing-wise. I rewrote one of my novels in its entirety in about four/five months, and I worked on a novella/honors thesis that will become the foundation for another novel.

I'm still editing the novel I rewrote, and I hope to be querying it by the end of June. This year I plan on being a rebel by doing my new WIP for Camp Nano in June. If I'm lucky I'll finish that novel by the end of July and be able to start expanding the novella for Camp Nano in August. (Another rebel movement. I'm rarely, if ever, not a rebel.)

Then it'll just be the issue of coming up with another idea for actual NaNoWriMo in November, although at the moment I don't have any stories planned out for that yet. With any luck I'll have September and October to edit the Camp Nano June and Camp Nano August projects, respectively, and the winter to edit my NaNoWriMo novel.

And of course, I'd love to be agented by the end of the year.

Re: What's your WriMo schedule for 2012?

So far:
Rebelled during Screnzy by doing some short stories which came in with a little over a hundred pages (with about 350 per page), as well as a failed attempt at continuing my really old Nano novels (failed at that, but I pasted everything I wrote in a document so that I could verify it in the end).

May: Plotting for both Camps
June: CampNano - it's kind of like a new installment to my Nano 11 story (which I already finished during Nano)
July: Plotting, if I don't finish plotting for August already in May, also 'Art Camp' in Carinthia (Kärnten)
August: CampNano! New story, new genre
September 'till late October: Plot for Nano or finish CampNano stuff if it needs to be finished
November: Nanowrimo 12
December: Rest until next year, rinse and repeat
