Obviously mine isn't quite finished--got tied up with school there toward the end of the month--but I have winter break to finish and polish it. I was wondering if anyone knew of any places to submit our literary fiction to? Which publishers do you recommend? Or maybe literary outlets for publication in some sort of anthology?
Not to kill your "I'm writing a novel" buzz, but I'd worry more about finishing the thing, then editing it, then editing it again until you think of sending it out anywhere or even begin researching publishers. From experience I know it's a bad route to go down.
Of course. I wasn't suggesting I'm anywhere close to the point of submission for publication for what I'm working on currently, but it's useful information for when that time comes. I may be novice as a writer, but I'm not quite so naive. I'm sure there's a large number of writers who are ready to start thinking about this sort of thing, so I wasn't only asking for my own benefit. And by publishing, I didn't mean in any strict sense. This could include any literary outlet--magazines, journals, etc.--that publishes selected submissions. Also, my bigger project, the one on my nano profile, is one of several projects I have going, a couple of which are pretty polished and could be submitted for publication, so the information is still useful.
Now that I'm done, who am I going to send my MS to?
