I miss the conversations in the Lit Fic forum...

I miss the conversations in the Lit Fic forum, but I'm working on my academic stuff right now. I come back and check and am sad to see activity is down. (Of course it's down!) I don't respond to anything because I can't get tied up in a conversation right now and I know the best way to increase activity is to have some question that writers are compelled to answer, but my little mind is currently all statistics and public finance and if I switch over to fiction/memoir writing, I know I'll lose the little statistics and public finance mind that is needed for this next week. (That, and I can easily get very distracted by conversations about writing... and these are the only conversations of such that I have these days, since I am surrounded by statistics and public finance...)

I'm rambling and this may seem pointless, but it's really just to say that I still think of those with whom I have "talked" here, and I am looking forward to getting back into the novel on Dec. 15th (or maybe the 14th!) and I am looking forward to participating again, even though I'm considering torturing myself with a PhD in immigration and border policy so I can actually affect the direction of immigrant integration down here in the borderlands, where I live.

I'm losing my mind.
