Anyone have a self-published Kindle book?

Hi!
I'm completely fed up now, having read everything on my Kindle. I've developed a preference for Indie authors, too.
So can someone link me to their Kindle book? For everything I download I'll also review!
Thankyou...

I have a fantasy novel: http://www.amazon.com/Promising-Light-The-Protectors-ebook/dp/B006Y6EIJS/
It's $3.99 for 130,000 words (around 500 pages, I think?)

Here's the blurb:
Grace began a secret courtship with Dar for the thrill of doing something against her father, the king’s general. She hadn’t planned on falling in love with him. When Dar suddenly leaves her, she searches for answers, reluctant to let him go.

Everyone seems determined to keep the truth from her—until she’s kidnapped by Dar’s family. They’re shape changers who claim she can break a curse set on them ten years ago by the Protectors, a group of noblemen determined to stifle magic in the name of safety.

Torn between two worlds, Grace isn’t sure who to trust. If the curse endures, Dar’s family could die out forever. But to help them, she’ll have to leave behind everything she knows.

Here is my self-published novel, Share the Road for $2.99 - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006SJN7BG

Synopsis:

Michael is an average guy. He has one of those faces that you've seen before, but just can't quite place. He won't dazzle you with his stories at the party, but he'll be there to help you move the next day. He struggles to pay his bills with a job he doesn't care for, but who doesn't? He isn't living the life of his dreams, but he reasons, "Who is?" He has a home in the suburbs, a wife he loves, a dog at his side, and a baby on the way. He can't complain, and rarely does.

But when tragedy strikes, something inside him snaps. His false sense of inner strength is blown apart along with the circuitry in his brain. All those things he had buried come rushing forth and threaten to pull him under. He falls into a series of fugue states, and his body works on autopilot while his mind tries to repair itself.

Soon he is hundreds of miles away from home, on a bicycle, not entirely sure how he got there. He is on the run, yet he has left nothing behind. Every failure and misstep that led him here continues to pick at his brain and torture his soul. His only hope is forward motion.

As he rides down the Pacific Coast, he hopes that beauty he sees will somehow repair the ugliness he feels inside. Mile after mile, he tries to remember what happened, and how to find his way home.

Mine is The Silent Treatment http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/130716
$2.99

While rebuilding her life after escaping an abusive boyfriend, twenty-five-year-old Kat Shergill doesn't expect to find a piece of forgotten movie history during a bout of retail therapy. But there it is: a coil of long-lost silent film tucked inside an antique from an estate sale. Unfortunately, Peter, the handsome host of the sale, disappears before Kat has a chance to return it to him.

Curious, Kat watches the strip and is shocked to witness the brutal murder of a famous 1920's star by a fellow actor. Against Kat's wishes, the head of the department leaks the story of her valuable discovery to the media. Although she has no way of contacting Peter, who she keeps thinking about, guilt at being unable to return the piece, and unwillingness to reveal her idol as a murderer gnaws at her.

After a news article cites Kat as the film's owner, she's followed by a strange white car, her apartment is broken into, and she learns why some mysteries should never be messed with.

Just ePublished this week. :)

http://www.amazon.com/Fantasti-Con-ebook/dp/B00779JKXK/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_t_1

Fantasti*Con is the Midwest's largest convention of science fiction, fantasy and pop culture, and the highlight of Allison Cavanaugh's summer. Only this year she finds a dark cloud over her weekend of geeky fun: a stalker. What begins as enigmatic notes quickly escalates to threats upon her. Only how do you find a madman at a convention, and how do you still manage to not scare away that new guy in the next apartment while doing it?

The weekend should be about fan-girling out at celebrities, wearing fun costumes, getting the inside scoop on the latest games and introducing her best friend Tori to the world of geek culture. Instead they, along with a hyperactive undergraduate student Joanna, are trying to find out who wants to hurt Allison before it's too late.

Set against the back drop of a major convention, Fanasti*Con is a romantic thriller with scenes and vinettes familiar to any attendee. From the costumes to the celebs, this could be any con-goer's weekend of horror.

Re: Anyone have a self-published Kindle book?

The problem most self-published authors have is the business side of marketing. If you want more than friends and family to buy your book, you have to put in a lot of time to spread the word. That's TIME, not MONEY. I'm a free-lance editor, most of my clients self-publish. When I discovered that few knew how to get started on the marketing side of things, I wrote a simple guide that I give to each of them. I posted that guide on my personal blog., on 2/18. http://purrfect0tale.lifeblog.com/. Give it a read, I think it will give you a good start. BTW - The post following the guide is about the things a line editor looks at, you may find that of use also. Let me know if my info helps by leaving me some NaNo mail.

Here is my self-published Kindle book which is a product of NaNoWriMo 2010! The Nonlationship

Ellis has dated them all: straight women, gay men, herds of the emotionally unavailable. She finds herself in therapy amidst a quarter life crisis, after spending years in unfulfilling relationships with both men and women. Together with her therapist Phil, she recounts her romantic history uncovering a pattern of attracting exciting but rejecting partners. Whether they are men who fear intimacy, closeted lesbians, or people currently in other relationships, Ellis unfailingly falls for the wrong person. Phil opens Ellis to the possibility that her suffering comes from reenacting something called the repetition compulsion, a psychological phenomena that defines the moment a moth is drawn to a flame. Fighting against her negative dating pattern and her poor body image, Ellis is not sure if she has the strength to give up her attraction to romantic poison even with Phil's support.

I enabled it to be available in the UK store as well. I would love any review you could add to the comments section. Happy reading!

I've decided to sell them at the lowest price possible (aside from giving them away for free). For nearly 60,000 words, I reckon it's a bargain. But then I would say that...

Hi Lisa!

I recently put up a YA dystopian on Smashwords. The story can be downloaded from the link to your Kindle, and it's free. I would love a review as I haven't gotten any there, but have been able to get a few from Wattpad.

Here is a brief description and link in case you were interested. Thank you so much for your consideration in advance!

"The Circuit"
Would you follow your heart, or conform to survive?

After five years of hiding, Rhana had learned how to keep her feelings under control. She is no longer a threat to herself, or her family. Nevertheless, everyday is a struggle to remain annonymous without any hope of finding someone else like herself. Then one day Rhana discovers a book that reveals maybe she isn't so different and begins to dig deeper, leading her onto a path of love, betrayal, and conspiracy.

Great thread. I'll be checking out as many of these as possible.

My own published work is actually two intertwined short stories -- some horror, some drama, some supernatural, some young girl coming-of-age all mixed up together.

It costs $0.99 (though I'm promoting it for free in early May) and the word count is roughly 16,500.

Hope someone out there enjoys this!

Updating to add that if you follow the links above, you should be able to get a free copy of my book for the next two days. Let me know if it doesn't work and I'll try to figure it out.
