Hey! I'm an active duty US Air Force technical sergeant (E6) based in Anchorage, Alaska! I'll be taking leave on the 1st and 2nd of November to get a good start on the NaNo word count.
Hey all! I'm an active duty Navy LT (O-3) based in Newport, Rhode Island for training en route to my next ship. I'll be in class ~10 hours a day in a classified area for NaNo, so I'm not sure how successful I'll be this year, but I'm giving it a shot!
of course our retired brothers and sisters count too! Active duty, reservists, Amy, Marine, Navy, Air force, Air Guard, Coast Guard... all walls of military life are welcome here... part of the reason this is one of my favorite foums!
My name is Ashley-Lane i am an Army sergeant stationed in Ft. Bragg, and am the ML for the Fayetteville area! Been doing nano for umpteen million years now and have managed to complete my novels in South Korea and in the sand box (more like the kiddy sand box t still part of the desert)
P.S. All typos are currently left in place because for the month of december I have made it impossiable to hit the back space... litterly removed the button from my keyboard LOL
that is clever...but I am too well, not quite OCD, but I could never pull a button off my keyboard...lol. You'll have to let me know if that improves your word count...lol. I am the wife of a retired Army Staff Sargeant and I am also the daughter of a deceased Vietnam Veteran (he died in 96, but it was ruled military related...) Nice to meet you. I currently live near Fort Hood. nice to meet you. This is my 5th year nanoing...and i have happily won every year, sometimes just by the skin of my teeth...lol
Military spouses and children are always welcome! I was Eensybeensyspider's co-mod here for the last several years, so I can definitely say that spouses are most definitely welcome! :)
Welcome to the World's Military Service Personnel!

Do retired military members and their families count? Or is this just for active duty?

I'm a future sailor and I'm trying to be productive before I leave for boot in February. I thought Nanowrimo would be a perfect thing to do!
Happy writing everyone!
Re: Welcome to the World's Military Service Personnel!
Are military spouses invited?
