unintentional shifting PoV - need help

Hey gang,
As I'm getting further into this mystery thriller, I'm finding that my main character(girl) has now become a co-main character and the new one(guy) seems to be taking over the story... but in a good way. However, the original concept, and follow up stories, are supposed to be about her and her further adventures.
 Thoughts, suggestions?

Thanks!!!!

This happened to me in 2005, when my FMC discovered her first body and the man of her dreams walked into her life in the form of the police detective assigned to the case. What I've done since is to keep the FMC's point of view, but of course the MMC figures strongly in the story. In fact, they were planning their wedding this year when he got framed for arson, DWI and (soon) kidnapping leading to homicide.
