http://firework.the-comic.org/comics is a webcomic I started in October. It's a young-adult sci fi using the same characters as my novel series, Firework, which I've been doing Nanowrimo with for I don't really want to remember how long (ugggh). The current chapter (The Banana Yogurt Beast) is based on a nightmare I had in freshman year and guess what, this comic script was written in--YEAH! SCRIPT FRENZY 2011!
My art is inconsistent for a variety of reasons and I'd love to hear ANY opinion at all about the style (what style?) the story, the sense of humor, or the characters. It is manga-style but in some ways makes fun of its own manga-style-ness because I'm not Japanese in the least (and if I was it still would because I mess with people). Anyway, I have to go to Christmas dinner right now, it would be awesome to get comments/replies!
The ones that are just done in pencil are a little confusing because they're too busy. The inked ones are better, and clearer.
I'm not as keen on the very manga-ish ones as I am on some of your other pages. They're just average manga, while the ones that are done in a different style are more personal and look better! Use your own style.
I didn't have enough time to read them all, so I can't comment on the story just yet. If I get time I'll come back to it. Credit to you for doing it though. I've been chickening out of doing a web comic for several months now!...
Please let me know what you think of my webcomic!
