Your ideas: Oh dear, well it would be perfect if you'd managed to blend a mirror somewhere in the cover, since the main access way to both worlds is a mirror. Same goes for a pair of baby blue eyes, maybe they're staring back from the mirror? Colors/Key Symbols: As I've said, it would be perfect if you could include a mirror. Other key items would be a stream of flowing (blue/gray/any color except normal) fire, a pendulum clock and anything related to art/creation/imagination. Your ideas: Well, I was imagining a dark black and white picture of five kids (14 ish years) facing away from the camera and the title the focal point of it all. With the "VICTORIA" in caps, and maybe colored like a mural in contrast to the other words and background picture? Whatever you think, though, I'm sure will turn out awesome. Colors/Key Symbols: (for example a skeleton key is REALLY important): The murals that were painted were collages and representations of the diversity in the community, they were hopeful, yet real. The last mural was a silhouette of the kids holding hands, so that's important, too. Colors are not too contrast-y, like graffiti, but more toned down, a little lighter color scheme than monochromatic, but still vibrant. Your ideas: Maybe some graffiti art or something? the story takes place in the slums of a city where everyone who can afford it lives inside gigantic, high-tech skyscrapers. Totally enclosed tubes provide transportation for the people inside the scrapers, but Rita uses a magnetic hoverboard to ride on top of them. I'm ok with pretty much anything, as long as it doesn't look like Twilight (my original idea. Darn Vampires).
