Do you have customized wallpapers and desktop calendars to share? This is the place to post them. Please don't post requests here; this is for folks to find already created calendars and wallpapers. Also please don't post large images here. Just post either small thumbnails (500 x 300 or less) or direct links to larger files. Some of our users have dialup, and overlarge images throw off forum formatting.

I love love LOVED using your wallpaper last year! At the end of every day, I would open it up in photoshop and add my wordcount so that I could constantly see how I was doing, and it was just great motivation!

Last year I made a calendar based on that famous quote from Chris Baty about NaNoWriMo Angels (Though I went under the username Willoh at the time). That calendar proved useful to myself and several other Wrimos, so I started again and made a new one with the same theme and uploaded it here. I hope everyone likes it!

I'm loving these, as usual. I don't see one that totally grabs me yet. I think I need something with a little Mayan/Incan feel to it. I'm using South American cultures as inspiration for my fantasy novel this year.

Oh dear, what an awkward resolution! The 1024x768 should be able to fit your monitor and leave the boxes readable if you don't set the wallpaper to stretch. It will leave blank spaces on either side since yours is a widescreen resolution, but it would still be usable? :O

Here's one of my favorites from last year. I made several with no calendar specific dates, just day and word count, so they could be used for future NaNo's. There's several resolutions and word counts, as I had a lot of custom requests. If I have time, I'll make a new one for this year, but thought I would share these for now! You can always save it, open it up in your image processor of choice and scribble over the word counts with your own custom counts! I did that one year (to my own wallpaper, lol!) because I was having the last three days of the month chopped off for traveling (out of the country, woo!) and needed all my numbers adjusted upwards. XD

This is my first attempt at making a calendar for NaNo, but I felt like making my own instead of taking someone else's. It's a strange size, because I didn't even attempt to make it standard, so it's 1394x928. And it has both the 50k and 100k on it.

i resized / edited the image for some different resolutions with what little photoediting skill i had; this one is in 1280 x 800 and this one is in 1280 x 1024. hopefully one of these happens to fit your screen!

I've been playing with some Paris-themed NaNo wallpapers - the sizings are probably all funny, and if they really don't work for you but you like them enough to want to use them, give me a shout and I'll see if I can resize them properly for you! My contribution...it's kind of like the mansion one posted earlier, but 2011-specific and oriented so the building is on the other side of the screen...something I look for in a wallpaper (being a Mac user). Here is a 60K one without the tree. Here is a 60K one with the tree, in case anyone wants it. And just for the sake of being thorough, here is a 50K one without the tree. All of these are Windows oriented, but I can easily swap them to a Mac orientation if you'd like.

I would love a dark-ish fantasy-themed wallpaper (1280x800 if possible or close to it); though preferably grim reaper/necromancers/dark magi, skeletons, dark elves or ghosts rather than vampires (fits better with my novel to remind me I should be writing).... if you know of one or would be willing to do one :) *hopeful smile* thank you :-)

I would definitely have to second the request for the dark-ish fantasy-theme and the 1280X800! Though I'm working with demons and its a romance so...more haunting than grotesque? Or even simply a non-dark fantasy theme (1280X800) would be good! I've seen some great calendars here, but none quite fit my novel. Some have even made me wish I was writing something just so I could use them though. :)

NaNoWriMo Calendar 2011 It's pretty simple: a shiny background with the dates and word counts (50k goal) of November. 1440x900; fonts should be large enough to squish down without any problems. No commentary on the wallpaper.

Just thought I'd share mine! It's rather tailored specifically for my novel and the background image is one that belongs to my dad, a professional photographer, so it is copyrighted. But yeah, I'm using the two characters from the Game of Thrones TV show as physical representations of my own two characters. I made a 60k calendar for my laptop. It's 1920x1200 but if it completely gets ruined on someone's screen I can probably resize and/or crop it a little. I didn't make the image (it's from sxc.hu) and the jokes/quotes came from Googling around. Beachy keen!

I just created a new 2011 NaNoWriMo wordcount calendar. It's 1280x800 to fit widescreen computers. It also has a blank left column so you have room for your icons. My goal this year is 2,000 words per day, so the calendar shows wordcounts for 2K and 1,667/day. Has anyone done a calendar with the word countdown/reward system...thing? It's the thingy that someone came up with last that tells how words to write so that on Day 30 you have to write one word. I'm thinking of trying that method this year.

I made a simple one. http://imgur.com/a/ZeVPA There are three sizes, mainly because I was trying to find a version to work on my phone. The first one is 1920x1080, meant for a widescreen like mine. The other two aren't "sized" for computers really, but I added them anyway. The second is 1193x759 and the third is 1108x917. I can probably resize it if anyone wants. Just let me know :)

I was trying to find a calendar with the reward system too. But I couldn't find any. =( So... I made one myself. If you guys want, I made it available on DeviantArt. I went through and opened every one presented, either by clicking the link and opening in a new tab, or copy-pasting into a new tab. I ended up with around 20 of them I LOVE and have them on a slideshow for my desktop! Why pick one? ;D I wish I'd kept track of which ones I'd chosen so I could give personal kudos to the artists, but man, what an array of talent. Thank you everyone!

If anyone wants me to, I could certainly change the title. There are both 50,000 and 100,000 word counts on the calendar, but no day or year labels (so you can use it any 30-day month of any year).

I had the same problem, so I made the calendar I wanted in Microsoft Word, then took a screenshot, imported a pdf of that into Photoshop, and turned it into a brush. I then put in a layer of antique paper and resized the brush to fit, then just stamped it on.

There was a great one a couple of years ago, where on each word count someone included a famous book with approximately that word count. Unfortunately I had to reinstall my OS so I lost the picture, but does anyone know/remember what I'm talking about? Has it been done again and I've just missed it?

Well, any word processing software would work, as long as you can insert a table and then type all the info in. It just needs to be black-on-white to turn it into a brush without any background noise. I did mine on a Mac (equipped with Microsoft Office, but that's the only Microsoft product I used.

All but one have versions for 50k, 60k, 75k, 100k, 125k, 150k, 175k, 200k, and even a MiL word count (for those among us who really are insane). Oh I'm a little late to this but I only noticed this thread today, haven't been in the nano-artisans forum before, but I had a NNWM calendar from 2010 that I found only this month set to be my wallpaper for NNWM this year, I might end up using yours (and possibly some others, maybe on a rotation) Next year. *grin* I really love the little notes in the days (in addition to the wordcount markers that's what I look for, the additional comments, hehe) and especially that you included the last days of October and December 1st! Just wanted to say thank you for sharing the calendar and I'm snagging it for next year and after.
