As in short stories, of course! Silly you if you thought otherwise.
This may fit better in like plot doctoring, and if it DOES, sorry for the trouble! But I figured since it was about my rebel "novel" I'd ask here.
So for anyone writing a collection of short stories such as myself (while I'm also working on two other books!), have you thought about the title at all? How did you come up with yours if it is already named?
My stories aren't really relavant to one another at all... So coming up with a title to cover the whole book is a bit difficult. Am I crazy for even writing a book full of random non-related short stories? Is eveyone else a little bit more sensible and writing a book of stories with the same characters or connected plots or some such? How did that affect titling your book?

Ehh, you could always using your favorite short story title and then put "and other assorted short stories" after it or something, like Scott F. Fitzgerald did. :D Good luck!
Mine is called "Muses and monsters; or: the untamable power of the imagination". I came up with muses and monsters pretty soon after I decided to do short stories for NaNo this year. The only thing that connects all the stories is that they all have supernatural creatures in them, either good (muses; one story has an actual muse, though I guess he isn't all good) or evil (monsters) or usually inbetween. Then I decided to make it a frame story about a writer who wants to write realistic literature but ends up being forced to include these supernatural creatures in all of her stories, hence the untamable power of the imagination.
For another short story collection I'm working on outside of NaNo, I did indeed just choose the title of one story, as it also captures the atmosphere of most of the other stories.
I'm writing a collection of short stories, that are all focused around one character. So I guess I'm a double rebel, whoops.
My title is Sleeping with Tourists , and actually I had the title first, originally it was going to be just one short story, but it grew in to a collection.
Naming a collection of shorts?

And in short stories, it's expected to have different characters per story. :)
