How I wish I was a Rebel

I'm not sure why. These past few weeks I've been wishing I could write a memoir. Maybe a nonfiction about all the different cats I've had over my life.
You rebels just seem like the cool kids in the playground, and I'm there following the crowd.

I have to say that I don't think that we are the kewl kids in the neighborhood.

We are fortunate to be able to hop aboard and join this kewl experience . . . and reap benefits from it.

BUT . . . I have tremendous admiration for all of you who started this month with a blank page . . . and followed a storyline . . . for almost 50K words.

What a tremendous accomplishment!!

Looking forward to YOU winning NaNo this month with a 50K first draft of a novel!! :-)

hehe... At least you're almost at 50,000 so you've used the month well. (unlike *ahem* some people...)

I think a lot of people hate/regret/or are at least much less passionate about their NaNos by the end of the month and wish they'd done something else. Such it is with first drafts.

But, hey, you're cool for doing NaNo at all, right? (NaNo is cool, right? Right....?)

At the very least, you're cool for having cats.

Feeling the love right now.
I still, for some reason, can't shake this stereotypical image of myself at a school, talking with my fellow novel writers, when BAM! a group of rebels swagger in with their non-mainstream ways. I sigh in admiration, tip my hat to you all.

Maybe the pressure of NaNowrimo has affected your brain??? :-)

I totally get what you're saying. I'm actually lurking around the rebel thread, wondering if I could be a rebel next year .... like a freshman hiding behind the bleachers, watching cheerleading tryouts ...

Wow, that sounds pathetic! ;-)

Hey, there are a few days left and you're already past the finish line. Grab a pom-pom!

Ha ha! You're so right. Maybe I'll top it off with a short story or two ... ;-)

Heh. Meanwhile, I took a day out of my intended writing schedule to start the outline for a fiction novel made up out of daydreams I've been having for years. I'd been reading "No Plot? No Problem!" and got inspired, so did a brain dump into Scrivener and then got back to my memoir.
