Yay! I see PURPLE!!

Such a little thing but it has put a smile on my face this morning!

Some of you know that I was disappointed when I validated my word count a few days ago . . . and nothing changed.

Later I found out that there was a technical problem and my browser (IE) was not displaying the purple winner's bar.

I sighed . . . I pouted . . . I felt disappointed . . . I whined . . .

I thought about using someone else's computer to be able to see it for myself.

I accidentally visited the 2007 pages and saw the purple bars from back then . . . kewl.

THEN . . . this morning . . . I got notification of a new post somewhere . . . and, lo and behold, the person who had posted was displaying a PURPLE BAR with the word WINNER!!

I stopped reading and clicked to see my own profile . . . and there it was:

MY PURPLE BAR! and the word WINNER!

A little thing . . . but this old lady is smiling this morning!

:-) A good way for me to greet the last day of NaNowrimo 2011!

Now I feel like a WINNER! :-)
