I was listening to an iTunes playlist I'd made for this particular novel.

At the moment I reached 50,000, it was on "Low", by Cracker. An absolutely appropriate song for a surprise sex scene between the MC and, ahem, the villain!

What about you? :)

I definitely want to see that! :D

As for me...the moment I actually finished the novel, let's say I was listening to "Glycerine" by Bush. Darn good song. :)

That strikes a chord. I had Slam Cartel's 'Sundown' playing for the planned ending, but then the two MC's decided to deviate from the plan and go on to 'celebrate' their happy ever after, so it actually ended on 'Closer (Precursor)' by Nine Inch Nails. Not exactly romantic, but it suited the moment...

I was listening to 'The Oblivation' from the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 soundtrack by Alexandre Desplat. :D It sounds so epic!

Honestly I was just playing my whole list of liked videos on youtube and I have no idea what song it was right before I won but right after I passed the 50,000th word the NaNoWriMo song started playing and I burst out laughing XD. Awesome timing!

I was listening to an acoustic nouveau-folk station I created in Pandora and as I was writing the last few sentences, "Where Does the Time Go?" by The Innocence Mission played. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xE8nDVMfz5w)

It was amazingly appropriate for the tone of the scene - the MC riding away on a train with her sister, sad to leave, but excited at the prospect of their new home and noticing signs of spring.

And I didn't cry. *suspiciously specific denial*

It was "All The Small Things" by Blink 182. It was on the playlist for this novel and one of the lamest finishing songs I've ever had.

Not sure specifically what song or artist, but I was listening to Christmas music, something I only did on the last day of writing. I usually don't think what I'm listening to has much influence on what I'm writing, but I'm rethinking that after the end of my novel turned all Christmas-y.

Everwhite, by some Vocaloid producer. Either that, or Song for Eternal.

I was listening to a collection of soundtracks/playlists from Reina in Istanbul.

Reina 2 soundtrack

Reina 3 soundtrack

After trying tons of different music from every genre - I have over 24000 songs in my files - I found that, for some reason, Europop/Eurodance/Turkish pop was the one thing that got me energized and my fingers flying.

The Final Countdown. .... probably doesn't count thought because I put it on on purpose when I was on the last couple hundred words.

I did the same thing. I figured it would be a helpful push to finish up and I ended up writing the last word as the song finished! Made me laugh. :D

Oh.Yes.

Not in Love from Crystal Castles.

^^ This is the song I listened to over and over throughout my novelling experience. Nothing else seemed to fit with the novel like this one, except for a few country songs lol.

I can't remember anymore but at some point when it was clear that my home region beat the ones we had a 'word war' with it was 'We are the champions' by Queen.
:') Quite fitting.

I might not have been listening to anything if I was on the bus when I got to the appropriate page.

I do know that I started NaNoWriMo 2011 with Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man." The version I used came off an RCA CD titled "Classical Music for Home Improvements" and is a favorite. I've heard it used in at least one national park video presentation.
