Hits of the 1950's?

My MC has fallen into the 50s, and can't adjust to the world around her- especially music. Imagine going from Uprising by Muse to... well yeah, you get it. I just need some good examples of hits from like, 56 years ago. Thanks :D

The 50's is the birth of rock and roll and a lot of amazingly great music.

Your character however may have trouble adjusting to things like Perry Como most of these

Re: Hits of the 1950's?

From '56:
Roll Over Beethoven by Chuck Berry
Be-Bop-a-Lula by Gene Vincent
Blueberry Hill by Fats Domino
Stranded in the Jungle by The Cadets
Young Love by Sonny James
Long Tall Sally by Little Richard
Why Do Fools Fall in Love by Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers
Fever by Little Willie John
See You Later, Alligator by Bill Haley and the Comets
Since I Met You Baby by Ivory Joe Hunter
Let the Good Times Roll by Shirley and Lee
From '54 and '55, I like:
Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley and the Comets
The Great Pretender by the Platters
Earth Angel by The Penguins
Ain't That a Shame by Fats Domino
Just so you know, I've got all these songs and Muse in my iTunes. If you want more recommendations, let me know. I'll ask my Dad. He listens to Oldies all the time. Stole the XM radio he gave me when I was a freshman to do it, too. ;P
