Glow in the Dark Keyboards/Keyboard Stickers?

So I do a lot of work in dark locations (which seems kind of depressing now that I type it out). Right now I just turn my screen as bright as possible and try my best to not mess up. A friend recommended I try glow in the dark keyboard stickers for my laptop. Do you have any recommendations of where I might start my search? I'd really rather not pay too much, but if you can recommend something that does actually work, it might be worth the investment.

So who has a glow in the dark keyboard, or stickers that glow in the dark on their keyboards? What do you think of them? Do they work?

Thanks!

I couldn't write at all without my Logitech illuminated keyboard--I write in the dark, too!

But I've never run across stickers.. sorry. And the Logitech, I remember, was stupidly pricey. I did search Amazon for illuminated keyboards, when my boyfriend threatened to steal mine, and there are a handful of them for low prices. But, they're probably un-type-on-able.

Hey, do that! Search Amazon for stickers. I'm beginning to think if they don't sell an item, it doesn't exist.

I actually have a keyboard with light-up letters that I don't need any more... It was £20 in Currys. It was good when it worked, but you had to have it plugged into one of the front USBs in your computer for it to light up, not the normal ones at the back, so for me, it didn't light up because I had no front USBs spare. I don't have any on my laptop's keyboard, but ThinkGeek sells them. :) I've been meaning to get some for my computer - I use it so much that some of the letters have either worn away completely or are on their way there. It's lucky I don't have to look at the keyboard to type anymore otherwise I'd be screwed...

These are fluorescent rather than glow in the dark but if you have a screen that emits light they might work. I don't own these so I can't vouch for their quality. I only came across the website earlier today and when I stumbled across the thread I thought "What a coincidence!"

I bought some from this place. I'll let you know how they turned out. I bought two sets, one for my laptop and one for my wife's.

Here's an update.

Bought the stickers on Saturday. They shipped them Tuesday and I received them Friday. (Niagara Falls, New York to southern Iowa.) A tracking number was provided in the order update email from them. I bought two sets. They were shipped in a small cardboard mailer so there was no problem with damage in transit. Package is thin and will fit in any mailbox.

I put them on my wife's laptop first. She has a keyboard with a side numeric keypad, like I do. Using a pair of tweezers, I was able to apply all the stickers for her keyboard in less than an hour. My laptop took about 50 minutes. I am not super dexterous, but I had no trouble at all. If they are not straight when you first apply them, relax, just peel them back up with the tweezers and reposition them. A few might need to be trimmed slightly if your keyboard is different from a standard. The ENTER key on my numeric keypad is horizontal, so I put it sideways. I have a small + sign on the keypad so I trimmed it from a long key. I only had to adjust for four stickers. There wasn't a sticker for my Fn key, but I know where that is.

I bought the large lettering stickers. Right now I am using my laptop at night (10;45 PM) with no lights on in the room. The only light is from the screen of my laptop and I have no trouble at all seeing the keys. I'm not a good touch typist, I have to look at the keys a lot. Every key is well lit by the light from this page as I'm typing now, and my laptop is all black. Before I applied the stickers, I had trouble seeing the keyboard unless I had good direct light on the keyboard, now I am having no trouble in any lighting conditions.

I would recommend them to anyone who has trouble seeing their keyboard due to poor eyesight or poor lighting.

Hope this helps.

You might also consider a clip on reading light. I also think they make USB powered lights.
