You never touch the bread. You are typing almost faster than your processor can keep up when you are startled by the sound of the front door closing and realize that your wife is back from work at 7:30 PM and quickly start the bath tub for her and order and online pizza just so you have an answer for her when she gets up the stairs and asks what's for dinner. You order the pizza double cut so it's easier to hold in one hand, leaving one hand free to type. At 10:00 PM she kicks you out of the bedroom with your laptop so she can try and get some sleep before her very early shift tomorrow. and you move to your secondary nest downstairs on the couch, probably to write until about 2:00 AM. Tomorrow is your wife's birthday, you gave her her gift 2 weeks in advance just so you wouldn't forget since you knew you'd be NaNoing your heart out on the actual day. You will be spending a lot of time at her parents house tomorrow. She has forbidden the laptop, and you are wondering if you can smuggle a notepad and pen, or if that would be too easily confiscated.
