The inauspicious start of the police knocking on the door at 4am to take our lodger somewhere has delayed the beginning... It was my intention to get a proper night's sleep and be up early in the morning. Thus starting in the afternoon and I'm at 1487...

I've surprised myself with how I've done today! I was aiming for 2500 a day for the first week to give me a headstart heading in to week two, but I've done double that! I'm hoping it's not a fluke and I can keep it up.
I'm having a truly embarrassment of riches nano problem. I'm continuing my previous Nano, and I'm having to reread my previous one in order to remember exactly where I was. I've been working on another story during the year, so I'm really out of touch with my current project.
Writing 50,000 words means reading my 50,000 previous words. The story could use some tweaking, but that's not the issue. I just don't want to have to read 50,000 words - and have procrastinated accordingly. Damn. Now I have to.
Praise this. I am doing exactly the same thing or working and continuing my previous Nano. I am so out of touch with it and the re-reading is a killer.
I'm 10 000 words in, but only because I used my entire teacher day off to write, and I'm going to have to take a HUGE BREAK right about now to write reports for my kiddies.
Joy.
I don't think tackling Nano again with so many DNF's under my belt was a good plan.
After 11 pm and I've just hit the daily target that I'll need to be at to finish it in time. I think I'll call that worse than I hoped, better than I feared. As long as I can keep that up for a month I should be doing okay.
After a great start yesterday, I've now got tonsillitis for the third time this year and can't focus enough to write. November and me don't get along very well!
Managed to get to the required total for day one. Trying to recover from 'flu. First saw NaNo online on 30 October - so although I had an idea in mind for a novel, I haven't done any preparatory work. The decision to sign up was sudden and very late in the day. Probably I'm going to regret it.. very much by the seat of the pants...
I've written about 3500 words now, which meets the daily target but doesn't give me any wriggle room! Might brew up some coffee tonight and get another 1000 or so under my belt!
And we're off!
280 words! Because I didn't stay up last night to write!
Re: And we're off!
2018 Because I did stay up late last night. Got to 1676 before going to bed at 1.30am :D
Re: And we're off!

Anyone else have a day like this?
At This Rate You Will Finish On April 21, 2012
Re: And we're off!
Uh huh. I'm finishing March 12, 2012 at this rate ... oh well, I didn't think I'd get much done in the first 12 days due to other commitments ...
Hoping to get up to 500 words in the next half hour.
Re: And we're off!
My commitments span into December :S
Oh well, at least I'm trying - We can do it! :)

Re: And we're off!
Erm I'm a bit late to the party but I seem to remember being behind was the norm for me and Nanowrimo. I suppose I'd better get started then..

AH HA!
I have made the a 3000 word pilgrimage today! From 2000 to 5000!
For me that's bloody excellent.
Re: And we're off!
I didn't write anything yesterday, or the day before, so I'm still on 1022. Go me!
