Possibly because tragic stories can happen in pretty much any genre? A fantasy can be tragic, as well as a mainstream literary novel, a YA sci-fi, or romance. To me, it seems more a flavor of a story rather than genre.
But keep in mind, I'm the person writing a steampunk-esque YA fantasy thingy, so my view could be skewed...
As much as we'd like to have a genre forum and listing for every single possibility, it's just not possible! Not enough room! I'm not sure that tragedy is a standalone genre - as Ramblejack noted, tragedies can be in any genre. You can always change your genre in your novel profile to "other" and enter whatever you like!
Has anyone noticed that there's no tragedy genre here?
I don't seem to see a tragedy genre, and it seems a little big to be put in the section 'Other'. What d'you think?
