Deven wakes up in the Hospital.
Hayden: Deven?
Deven: (groggy) What happened?
Jade: Overdose B*tch.
Deven: From?
Hayden: Depressant.
Jade: And before you start going on with the who, what, when, where, why questions, you were ______________.

And I don't know how to finish that.

It would help if we knew what the situation actually was.

My story has an event before the beginning. It starts with his dream and he wake sup in the Hospital after. He overdosed from drepression after his frenemie died.

Umm what is it that he is trying to say with his witty sentence?

...holding the bottle in your hand, so don't try pretending it wasn't deliberate.

As I understand it, this character just attempted suicide by overdose on his antidepressants because an acquaintance died. So what I would expect the guy to say would be something along the lines of "you did it on purpose, and don't try to pretend otherwise."

... a hundred milligrams from mission accomplished.

... ten minutes from joining Kurt Cobain.

... one pill short of a ride with no sirens.
