Changing narrative?

My story is going to be told from the perspective of my FMC, but near the end of the story she will end up in a coma. Since I'm not sure if she can think/be aware of the world around her (if you know, please post here or in my thread "Transplants and comas" in the Reference Desk-forum), I was thinking that the last few chapters should be told from the POV of my MMC who has been present through the story, but never told the story. Would it be weird to do that? Any tips/ideas are welcome!

Happy writing,
Luna

It all depends on whether your Main Male Character is close to your Main Female Character. If not, then all hopes are lost. If the MMC is close to the FMC, then you're good, because there will be a lot of emotion. Go for it!!! But, if you want to try something else, you can still have it through the girl's point of view, and she can be in some subconscious world trying to get into the real world. Write!!! :)

Thank you! :) My FMC and MMC are really, REALLY close, so that would work :) Would it be weird to have both of them tell the part where she's in a coma? Is it better to just use one or the other, and in that case; which? :) Thanks again!

I think it would create some interesting tension having them both tell part of the story while she's in a coma. Like, "hey! I'm trying to be heard here." And now one can here her. Sort of reminds me of that movie "Awake".

Well, I think it would be cool to see how the world (or subconscious world) looks through the girl's eyes, because it would be a different experience, but the MMC's point of view would be cool too, because he would be oh so heartbroken (awwwww!) and would do anything to get her back again!! I don't know. Just a few ideas. Haha!
