I am writing a fantasy novel, and I really need help with names for the villain.
He is a wizard-gone-bad, and can use magic to kill victims and take their power as his own. He happens to be the father of the main character, Perk. He is cunning, selfish, and just downright evil.
awh, that's cute... I like the whole "father of, and son of," but it sounds, like something Tolkien would say, with the rhymes and all... thanks though! Any more ideas?
Was it Quirk (sounds like Kirk) or Quark in ST Deep Space Nine..anyway. Rourke is cool; Sirk is cool; Perk is cool but all toll too cute for lineage (unless it's a traditional family thing like naming all your kids with the first letter "D" for instance). Anyway...
Rourke Meijster Phyfe Praxis Chevalier Chaveaux Martyn Abbott Dunwynn Cox Albertus Tallyn Trenwyth Gable Gaston Stephan Tate Tryon Valentinus Valerius Rufus Rafe Mordox Morwynn
I also made up a couple... Indugo, Valatu, Azgo, Thirgo, Gorca, Vall, Orcagu, Faung, Mormina (maybe for the evil enchanteress in my novel, I was thinking.) Minar, Naro, Sarj, Elkoro, Heth, Shang, Varu...
I like the idea of having alphabetical names, where the first letter progresses as generations pass. I'm thinking of starting at Z, and that means I'm hoping to find a Q name, or an O name would do...
Quari, Quor, Orcagu...?
Also, since I really don't especially like O and Q names, I was thinking I could call him a name short for a longer name that starts with Q or O. For example, "His name is Cagu, short for Orcago, son of..(etc.)" yenno? Thanks for all your help!!!

Re: Name for the Villain
His name is Quirk, father of Perk and son of Rourke, grandson of Sirk.

Re: Name for the Villain
I really like Rourke and Sirk, but not especially Quirk for the bad guy. That name sounds like it belongs to a crazy scientist...
Re: Name for the Villain
Perk > Quirk > Rourke > Sirk. PQRS. It's a pattern!

Re: Name for the Villain
How about Xavier? For some reason whenever I see an X I think of a bad guy :P Or maybe Xan, or Xeryus? Yes, their real names...
