Get a Writing Buddy. You can each encourage each other. It is harder to keep going after the month of November but basically no one is finished with their novel so we all should be writing. I'm going to set some goals for myself.
Yeah, goals, to-do lists, little rewards like chocolate if you write a certain amount in a certain time. Or maybe you just need to take a little break from it, then you'll go back all prepared and refreshed afterwards. Hope that helps!
I'd be happy to help you out if you have skype, just pm me and we could exchange usernames? But DCN is right, if you're not motivated, you need to talk to someone about your plot, find out what you don't and do like, and how you can alter it to make it fit better and motivate you to continue writing.
Writing Buddies. If you have someone to cheer you on, some people get motivated to write. Personally, I wrote a lot because I had a real interest in my story. Are you interested in your story? If not, then you should either step back and try to find out ways you can be interested in it, or consider rewriting it and moving on to a different story and coming back to it later. That's why I've been doing since for a long time now. You'll be surprised how interesting a novel may be when you've stopped and come back to it a while later.
Word Count
How do I keep writing to get a higher word count? I'm not motivated.
