Anyone here using the BIAM (Book in A Month) book to lay out writing projects? I am going over my story idea from last month using it (the ebook version) and finding my story jelling together a lot better as far as outlining the whole rather than going by the seat of my pants. I wish I'd thought to use it before NaNo started I might not have gotten bogged down like I did some 15k into the typing.
You might also look into Lazette Gifford's "NaNo for the New and the Insane." When I ran into it in May of 2010, the concept of the Phase Outline helped me overcome a problem I've had with finishing what I've started. For me, having the Phase Outline helped me start AND finish stories. (I tended to write the 'fun' parts and ignore all the rest. Now all the scenes are 'fun' scenes because I'm getting into the details that set things up for other scenes and/or wrap things up for other scenes.)
BIAM method?
