Name: Victoria Adèlynn Age: 16 Race: Wizard! Appearance: Victoria Adèlyn is a gorgeous young girl of 15 years with light amber eyes, pale skin, and butt-length ginger hair who was borne to a family who didn't care. Back Story: Her father had moved away from her mother's after about a year of Victoria's life. Her father demanded that she stayed with him, so off she went to live with him. She didn't realized until 9 years later that moving away with him would have been completely against her will. However, she was stuck with him whether she liked it or not, and with him she stayed. Every day she would wake to the rude, horrible remarks that her father would give her, and she grew up hating her father and learning to disrespect adults, for she was convinced none of them had respect for her. And it was true: her father never respected her. They would always fight, she never did what he told her to, and when she did it was on her time the way she wanted to do it. It was this way with all adults who pissed her off, and more often than not that she'd get into arguments with teachers during class. Rarely did she ever get in trouble for this, so her father never got news of it. She's a marvelous arguer, and can win almost any argument; that's the one plus side to living with her father for 9 years. And so it went, day after day having her confidence fall further, knocked down by a person who should love her; having her heart broken by someone who should have her best interests in mind; destroyed internally by someone who should have built her up. Well, life isn't fair . . . is it? No. Victoria learned that the hard way. Anyways, this horrible life only existed to her for 9 years, for she fled from her father's house at the age of 11.
The picture made Trey's stomach lurch, he had never been bothered by blood. By seeing it like this, practically drenching one of the people he was closest to in the entire world made forced him to close his eyes in an attempt to settle himself. "God. Kat. What happened?"
Kateri shook her head, "No. No, I'm not talking about this. Just... just forget about that picture. I dont..." She spun on her heel and dashed up the stairs, muttering something about takinga shower. Really, she just wanted to escape. She oculdn't believe she was honestly hiding from Trey by locking herself in teh bathroom. What a cliche. The hot water pouring from the showerhead stung her skin, but couldn't quite wash away the memories that flickered like an old home movie behind her eyes.
Claire stood from the table calmly, taking the now-empty waffles plate to the sink. She began slowly washing it, staring at Trey out of the corner of her eye, plannign her oh-so-dramatic response for when he hounded her for answers about the drawing. She would make him beg, yes, and bargain. It was so deliciously soap-opera.
Name: Trey Hansen Age: 17 Race: Nephilim (Part angel_ Appearance: Slightly curly blond hair slightly past ears, brown eyes, tall, athletic, generally wears casual clothes, large tattoo of an angel on his back Back Story: Trey's father was an angel, when Trey was five he joined the fallen angels and left his family, his mother remarried but eventually his mother left for a younger man whom she lives with in Italy, Trey's stepfather and stepbrother are unaware that he is Nephilim
"Claire..." Trey slowly turned to the other girl. He had thought of following the girl but the sound of running water indicated she had gotten into the shower. "Please tell me you acctually made that one up instead of it being real."
Briana walked around the kitchen and accompying rooms as Claire walked out. After she was satisfied that she knew where everything was she walked outside to the backyard and sat down on the steps, wondering if this could possibly be real. Sitting there bored Briana randomly selected a rock and began to again expirement with her telekinsis-like abilities. Moving the rock around the yard took her concentration off of the issue at hand and to that she was greatful.
Claire picked up a dishtowel and began wiping the water from the plate. She replied in an offhand tone, "Hmm... what if I say that I don't remember? Oh, dear, we seem to have scared Briana away." She gave him a sly smile.
"Claire. You don't forget. That's why you draw so well." He scowled at her from the table. "You need to tell me. When your sister and I leave we need to be able to know just what we're dealing with."
((Sure, Charcoal! It'll give Claire something to do when Trey and Kat leave! Just go ahead and post your basic bio.))
Claire paled, "Y-You're leaving?" For a moment it was easy to see the resemblance between Kateri and Claire. Green eyes widened, hands trembled; she bit her full bottom lip. "She's leaving me again?"
"No!" Trey ran a hand through his hair and slouched in his chair. "Yes. But it's for your own good. To keep you and anyone else who comes along safe." He bit his lip. "I could go alone, I guess I'm being shelfis by asking her to come."
Claire closed her eyes. She knew she should be angry, and hurta nd confused. But all shefelt now was... a dull acceptance. She should have seen this coming. She had seen from teh beginning that kateri was head over heels for Trey. "What," she asked in a quiet, resigned voice, "are you trying to keep me safe from? Just what are you bringing my sister into?"
They didn't notice a girl with orange hair sitting on the stairs, looking a little uncomfortable at sitting in on such an argument, seeing as she wasn't part of it. Victoria averted her ocean blue eyes to make herself feel like she was intruding less.
"The fallen." Trey said quietly. "My father and his friends. We caught a spy of theirs last night." He glanced away from the girl and jumped. at the sight of another female. "Who are you? And how did you get in here?"
Victoria jumped and snapped her stunning eyes to Trey. "I'm sorry, I accidentally apparated here. I didn't mean to disturb you." She looked genuinely sorry, startled, and flustered, which she was.
Claire took advantage of Trey's distraction to haul the bag from teh trash can under the sink and whisk herself out the back door, as though she were taking the bag to the cans on the side of the house, nearly tripping over Briana in her hasty retreat. As soon as she was out of sight of the kitchen window, Claire sat on the dusty ground beside the garbage cans and buried her face in her short-fingered hands. She didn't know what to do.. she just needed to think...
"No, no. It's fine. I just wasn't expecting anyone to be there." He gestured towards the girl. Trey flashed her a bright smile and held out his hand. "I'm Trey, by that way. I quasi live here. Same with Claire, the girl who might have just broken a land speed record, her older sister Kateri and an assortment of various others."
Claire sniffled a few times, then stood to return back to the kitchen. SHe rubbed a dusty hand under her nose and dashed away the tears in ehr eyes. Claire was many things, but she was not a cryer. Not in front of people, especially. She strode back into the kitchen like really all she had been doing weas taking out the garbage.
Claire shrugged, "Whatever. I'm not my sister's keeper." Her tone was casual. She forced a real-looking smile at Victoria, "Hi. Sorry for the rude welcom. I'm Claire Ryan." It was far from her usual flambouyant hellos, but she felt suddenly drained.
Trey rolled his eyes at Claire's flippant reply. "Yeah, because you totally act like that all the time. Plus it's okay to care about her, she is your sister after all."
Claire wished she had her sisters powers. All she wanted to do is give Trey a good hard whack upside the head without him seeing it coming. To occupy the weird, energy flittingthrough her restless fingers, she whipped the sketchpad from the counter and flipped through it without looking at the drawings. "Listen, Angel Boy. I don't care if she runs off with you. It doesn't matter. If that's what she wants, then... then fine." Though her eyes were practiacally throwing sparks, her voice dropped softer, lower, "Just... take care of her, okay?" Her hand paused on a drawing from the night before:a fleeing figure hidden in the woods, lit by moonlight. "Promise you'll take care of her."
