Valentine's Day Ball Discussion & Sign Up

Congratulations!

You have been invited to join the royal family in celebrating the 25th annual Valentine's Day Masquerade Ball! As per tradition, there will be a kissing booth where you can kiss one of the palace knights and enough music to dance the night away! This year, as a special treat, all the princes and princesses of the royal family will be disguised as guests during the ball. Who knows, maybe you'll enjoy a dance with a member of the royal family!

Love is in the air!

Oh, and the Queen as declared that the ball will never end until someone gets engaged!

So, basically, the ever-loving Queen of the Kingdom is throwing a big ol' Valentine's Day Masquerade Ball.

You can play as:

-A prince or princess
-A guest
-A knight at the kissing booth

There is no limit to how many characters you can have, just make sure you play them all without getting jumbled up. Also, we'll need a nice royalty: guest: knight ratio, so try not to make too many of one type.

Appearance: Soft brown hair that falls past her shoulders, and light brown eyes. Pale skin that she keeps coloured with rouge. She wears classical, soft gowns that make her skin look somewhat darker.

Personality: Emily despises what she is, and attempts to create a mockery of a human life. She is fun-loving and excitable as any other teenage girl, and enjoys a good party. She loves Dante with all of her heart and desparately wants to spend forever with him.

Bio/History: Emily was 16 when she was bitten as a punishment for a transaction gone wrong on her father's part. A truly traumatic experience for her, she was pinned down by men and bitten by the vampire after he taunted her father before killing hi in front of her eyes and then turning her. She lived with him for two years. It was not until she found out his plans to kill the royal family that she realised her yearning to remain human. Emily killed her creator and ran, making a small home for herself. Intrigued by a boy who looked as if he had prestige but mingled with peasants and asked them how they were, Emily introduced herself, and he helped her to tend to her flower garden before riding away. Enchanted by the meeting, Emily and the man met every single night. Soon, she fell desparately in love with him.
The ball is their first outing together in public.

Bio/History: (Optional) Born into the kingdom she has had to fight her way up. She was originally fourth in line until an unfortunate accident took out one, and her elder brother soon after died of disease. There is some claiming it may have been under her orders but well..no one can prove anything against an heiress. She is rather happy in her position though does seek to keep her kingdom's name on the map. She did help with the event planning as she wanted her name to be remembered year's from now.
Do they believe in true love? To some extent, though she has been disappointed before.

Personality: A bottled storm, any emotion is usually passionate and violently intense. Generally quiet, observant, and no-nonsense.

Appearance: Tracy is the very picture of an elegant, charming gentleman. His hair is dark gold, almost brown, longish and combed back. His eyes are a bright honey-brown and his face is impossibly good-looking, in a polished sort of way. He has a dashing smile that he likes to use on those of the opposite gender who catch his eye.
Personality: Tracy loves reading and being outdoors, loves things like archery and swordfighting as well as horseback riding and intelligent conversation. He firmly believes he'll be the first to be engaged at the ball, and most likely to a princess, too. Why aim low?
Mask: I don't have a picture, but Tracy's mask is decorated with golden eagle feathers and a few sparkly gemstones in green, blue and red.
History: Tracy is the son of a nobleman -- a very rich nobleman -- who controls much of the wheat and corn market. People call him the "King of the Gold," a snide way of referring to both the color of the foods and the money he makes by his monopoly. Tracy, because of this, has grown up in a very wealthy and privileged house with a beautiful mother and even more beautiful sister, a charming and handsome father, and all the money he could possibly wish for.
Does he believe in true love: Perhaps. His parents semed to have found it.

Name: Princess Gabriella Nyx (if that is inded a last name...?)

Appearance: White-blonde hair that's as straight as straight gets and falls all the way down to her waist, dark blue eyes, and pale skin. She's beautiful, in a very colorless -- not albino -- way. For the ball she wears a long white dress with a full skirt and many lacy layers, sprinkled with a sort of glitter like snow crystals.
Personality: Sort of withdrawn and quiet, Gabriella doesn't like to speak to anyone, much less people she doesn't know, but her standing as a princess require her to. She's developed a sort of cool courtesy to use around others that has led to people saying she's haughty and stuck-up, and to good for ordinary folks.
Mask: White satin with two graceful white peacock feathers curling off one side, and a small cluster of deep green jewels on the other. The edges and the eyeholes are rimmed with the same glittery snow-effect substance on her dress.
Does she believe in true love: Yes.

Prince

Name: Joseph (Yes, HIM AGAIN, but I love him to death. :3)
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Appearance: Tall and thin with an elegant touch to his movements. He has a shock of red hair and a pair of elegant glasses, behind which gleam a pair of deep, dark brown eyes. He is wearing a dark red tunic and black trousers, a tooled leather belt around his waist.
Personality: Quiet and polite, but silently calculating. His eyes constantly dart around the room as he dances, switching from one lady to another in an instant.
Mask: This.
Bio/History: A son of the Queen, he's been badgered by her to try and get to know a lady, go out and meet someone, but he's been ignoring her pleas, saying he would not marry someone he couldn't stand to be near.
Do they believe in true love? It depends. He believes in a mutual tolerance, but if forced (like, at knife-point from all sides) he'd say that yes he does, just not at first sight.

Name: Iris Tanner
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Appearance: Tall and curvy, with a delicately heart-shaped face, straight, slightly long nose and round green eyes. Her hair is in thick dark brown curls tinged with highlights of auburn here and there, which she pulled up into a knot, with tiny love locks around her ears and two ringlets framing her face. She is wearing a deep, peacock green cotehardie (it's a tunic with a boat scoop neck that reveals the shoulders a little) that falls to her feet and is edged in green-black ribbon. The left half of the dress is accented with golden outlines of fleur-de-lis, while the right half has black outlines of fleur-de-lis. Around her waist is a plain brown-leather belt.
Personality: Smiling and friendly, she does tend to skirt around who she is and her past, but she will happily get to know her dance partner. Other times she'll sit on the side lines and wait, rather than joining in by herself into the larger dances. She's sweet, but there's a little fire in her eyes that you an tell means she's trouble outside of the dance hall.

Bio/History: She is a commoner but she saved up her funds from a local job and managed to buy some fabric, which she sewed into her dress, as well as some leather and feathers she hardened and molded into a mask. She managed to convince her parents that she had gotten a serving job at the ball and had hurried away with her dress in a satchel. She'd changed in the trees surrounding the castle, before emerging and slipping in among the crowd.
Do they believe in true love? She hopes that she'll be lucky enough to find out if it is true, but she doubts it's for her. She's just at the dance if nothing else than to have a taste of elegance and a glimpse at the nobility.

Knight

Name: Nicholas Green
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Appearance: Tall and lean with long, straight black hair he keeps in a braid. Bright blue eyes and a strong face with a straight nose. His smile is a quirky grin that hints at mischief. He wears a dark blue tunic and grey trousers tucked into his boots with the folded tops, along with his belt that shows him as a knight.
Personality: Flirty and cocky with a good eye at when to laugh and when to sympathize with a lady. He's a killer. XD He also tends to gently push away the ladies who he knows have lords waiting for them, so he's not a total jerk. Maybe just a bit though. XP

Bio/History: He has been a knight for the queen since his tweens and has never changed his loyalties. Honestly, that's all I can say about him.
Do they believe in true love? No. Actually he's a bit scornful of it because he's seen and been with so many women he believes true love is dead and only lust exists. Still, this doesn't stop him from being drop-dead charming, plain and simple.

Appearance: To be honest she looks exactly like my profile pic. Otherwise she is charming and social, just lacking the spark that appears when she feels comfortable enough to banter with anyone. Has a mischeivious streak in her that loves to see how many ways she can shock people.
