It’s evidently hard to tell the difference between the divine; angels seemingly harbour no desire to commit sin, and demons craftily blend with the innocent.

Why is it they can hide so well? The humans are a great source of information, it turns out. Their instincts, though often irrational, hold a great potential for unveiling the truth. They are often used as indicators. Once suspicions are at a high, the family will move. It is not uncommon for a clan of lighter or darker creatures to regularly settle from one community to the next, often leaving no trace of existence, only memories, which in time always fade into the past.

But this story is not one of the past. It is one of the present, and the inevitable future which accompanies it. A story that involves love, lust, friendship, and death.

Two families have chosen sanctuary in the sleepy little town of Halifax, Virginia. A rainy, next to always overcast slow-paced town where each clan hopes to guard their secrets. With a population of approximately 1300, there may be less prying eyes, but more of a forced closeness. But how close is too close?

The Sullivan Family: An alluring family of demons, each member crafty, and very charming. The family has learned to ignore most destructive urges, but every now and then, when desires flare or tempers explode, sparks have been known to fly in the heat of the moment. Demons are naturally protective of their territory and see humans as little more than tools for survival. Will this other family of outsiders be welcome to these beasts?

The LaBelle Family:A stunning family of angels who are very gentle, and all round beautiful. The family is almost too caring, to the brink of being naive. If there is a need for a helping hand, one of the LaBelle’s will certainly offer their assistance. Angels are a naturally peaceful race that only take what is needed from the land they live on, and they only ever eat the fruits of nature, never the flesh of an animal, unlike demons who prefer meat over plants. Will they be able to tame the Sullivans, or will they have to face their own demons?

Name: Visere Sullivan
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Unique Ability: Visere is absolutely flawless at lying, but that doesn't help much when it comes to battle. Actually, it doesn't help much at all, since this naturally pushes everyone away from him, and makes it hard for anyone to trust what he says. His subtle skills in persuasion and his way with words earned him quite the reputation of a silver tongue.

Personality: Polite and skilled with words, Visere can charm information out of almost anyone. He uses his skills in lying to persuade himself that what he is doing - whatever he is doing - is right. Thus, with almost no conscience, and with a cold and merciless mind, armed with his tongue and his wrath, he is a dangerous enemy indeed. Luckily, most people won't know he's made them an enemy til they find a knife sticking in their ribcage.

But there is another side to him, too. His silver tongue and smooth flowing words leads to natural leadership skills, wonderful in persuasion. There is a light in his eyes that cannot be doused, and he is fiercely protective of the few he loves. His polite, charming side can make a good first impression, allowing him to pull all the connections he needs. He is almost never angry, preferring instead to hold grudges and plot revenge, but will be occasionally known to snap if you push the right buttons.

Appearance: With enigmatic green eyes and a cold, chiselled face, Visere is not any ordinary man. Tall and lean, with curled light-brown hair and precise features, he has the ability to be handsome and charming when he wants to. And yet his smile can turn cruel and cold, and a dangerous light can flicker in his eyes. For those who don't know him, it's easy enough to mistake one expression for the other.

Notes: It would be totally awesome if he could fall in love with an angel. ...Just putting it out there :)

Gender: Male
Age: 16
Unique Ability: He can create illusions.
Personality: Quite and withdrawn James rarely speaks, preferring to show others what he is thinking although he will become more active if someone coaxes him out of his shell. One of the gentler demons James can sometimes be mistaken for harmless but his illusions make people wary of confronting him. He prefer books to humans.
Appearance: Small with dark hair and eyes James is sticking but often overlooked.


Name: Daniela Abbot
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Unique Ability: Daniel can step into the dreams of others and gain a sense of what they feel about certain situations and what troubles them as well as what they want from life that way. However dreams being suggestive at the best of times this is not an entirely accurate ability although it comes in handy sometimes to spot truth from lies.

Personality: Daniela loves the world around her for what it is although in her navity she is easy to shock with the harsher aspects. She tries to help others but does not always know how to go about it and becomes frustrated when her attempts fail. Since she’s hardly ever angry Daniela sometimes finds herself swept along into something she doesn’t want to do but whenever her anger manifests it is far more noticeable that it might otherwise have been for its scarcity.

Appearance: Slight and delicate looking Daniela pale, near translucent skin like water and dark brown, wavy hair to mid back. She has one eye the colour of pale jade and one aquamarine.

Notes: She loves animals and plants.

Haha XD thanks. Um, so... I'd just explain it like I was stupid. I have ideas, but idk how alike they are to others' and the right ideas. Hehe.

This is tempting... but I absolutely hate the moment when the thread goes up, and everyone's friends, and I'm suddenly left with explaining where the heck my character has been.

Well, like what? Why the Angels are on Earth but haven't fallen? Simple: They're part of the Third Heirarchy/Choir (it can be called either). So Archangels, Guardian Angels, and Virtues. They're sent here to look after the humans and keep them from straying away from the light of God. *shrugs* See? I really need to get out more. :P

Ah. And what types of powers do thy have?

Archangels don't have any specific powers, they're pretty much messengers for God. So they've got the common powers of healing, and they can change the atmoshere of they're surroundings though it's very subtle. For instance, say Archangel was at the scene of a car accident. Everyone is frantic and crying because someone was killed. [S]he can create soothing feelings folr them, but no so much that everyone breaks out in joyous song or what have you. Guardian Angels are the same way, but they can also pick up on the thoughts of people if they choose to, if not they've learned to easily tune it out. Virtues, however, take on the powers of a certain aspect(virtue) of life. The virtue is usually some specific part of nature, i.e. fire, wind, water, flowers, etc. But others may have the virtue of kindness, or empathy or something.

Ahhhhhhh. Okay. :D cool.

Name: Georgia Sulliven
Gender: Female
Age: 17/457
Unique Ability: She can conjure the black fire, an all consuming flame that cannot be put out by normal methods. Only the holy light of an angel can disperse the flames. However, this can only be created in moments of ultimate sexual pleasure, the kind that can only be acheived through an extremly rare angel/demon coupling. It has only happened once in her lifetime.
Personality: Dark and deadly, she is not one you want to cross. Which is easier than you'd think.
Appearance: She is extremly tall, towering over most other people, even of her own race. Her skin has a coppery sheen from much time spent in the sun training weaponry. Georgia has long red hair and green eyes with a red ring in the center. Her face is angular, and the rest of her body is muscular and well toned.
Notes: She hasn't lived with the Sullivens forever, only about a hundred years. Also, she can play fiddle.


Name: Johnny LaBelle
Gender: Male
Age: 17/493
Unique Ability: He can use music as a weapon, creating white flames from pure sound. However, this only works with a fiddle, as he can only resonate with this instrument.
Personality: Kind, caring, and a music lover. His favorite band is the Charlie Daniels Band.
Appearance: He's tall, muscular, and has good, rough looks. He's got sandy blonde hair, with blue eyes with gold flecks. He's got a nice, solid tan, and looks like he's been working a farm his whole life. Which he was, early on in his life.

I shouldn't... I reeeeeeaaaaally shouldn't. But Tanner, Aimee and Kora are perfect for this... Um, question, Aimee is nine in canon, is that okay? If not, I can just make her older xD

Name: Assyria Sullivan

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Unique Ability: She also has the ability to control fire, but not black fire. It's just plain 'ole regular fire, but she can use it any time she pleases, although if she uses her talent for anything drawn out or crazy (like setting a warehouse on fire) she will get very faint and will sometimes black out for a minute or two.

Personality: Deceptively polite. She will use her charm on anyone while she waits for the perfect time to devastate whomever she chooses. She is also smart, witty, and can hold her own in any argument or fight.

Appearance: Assyria is average height with a petite build. She has milky white skin and white-blonde hair shot through with natural blood-red streaks. She has brooding charcoal eyes ringed with a subtle shade of silver around the pupils.

Notes: She adores Dr. Pepper :)

Unique Ability: Haven't decided yet... wow that's really sad :P

Personality: Dark, brooding, quiet... yeah, he's that kind of person.

Appearance: Catcher's apperance, for some reason or another, very acurately depicts his personality. He has black shaggy hair that tends to fall in his eyes (which are also dark), a dark tan complexion, and sort of gives of a mysterious/dangerous vibe.

Unique Ability: Being a Virtue gives him control over the wind and select animals.

Personality: Kind, caring, responsible. He's the kind of person that no one forgets.

Appearance: He is tall with a lean build. He has striking sea blue eyes and honey blonde, borderline golden, hair.

Notes: He can play almost any instument, and he preferrs the piano.

Unique Ability: She can create slight changes in the weather, sometimes noticable ones as well but it takes a lot out of her when she does that.

Personality: Fun-loving, creative, spontaneous. Has a bit of an attitued.

Appearance: She has black hair tipped with cobalt blue, emerald eyes, and is very short. (5'2")

Unique Ability: She can blow things up by waving her hands or flicking her fingers. She can't always control the size ofthe explosion though, and too big of one wears her out.
Personality: Deceptively sweet and charming, Kora can make someone fall for her only to turn around and tear them apart. She's cold and calculative, but tolerative enough if you're not on her bad side.
Appearance: Thick, wavy, waistlength night black hair. Electric blue eyes that have a very slight violet tint. Petite, about 5'3, with a very curvy, athletic build.
Notes: Um, she likes to read very old books...

Unique Ability: He's and empath, able to sense the emotions of those around him. Being in a large group of people gives him a massive headache, and it's often hard for him to tune it out.
Personality: Tanner is generally very quiet. He's very calm and a peacemaker, should the need arise. He's always willing to help out, or offer advice if its needed. Loyal, and very protective, especially of Aimee.
Appearance: Wavy, light brown hair that's often hanging in his eyes, which are almost gold in color. Tall, with a muscular, athletic build. Tan skin.

Age: 9
Unique Ability: A Virtue, Aimee is best taking care of plants and animals, to a certain extent.
Personality: Very sweet, Aimee has a certain gravity about her that makes her seem older than she is. She's very gentle, and always willing to give comfort to the best if her young abilities. Though her actions make her seem older, there are still moments when naiveness remind people how young she is.
Appearance: Long, light blond hair that looks almost silvery in the sun. Cystal blue eyes. Slight, almost bird like build, and pale skin.
Notes: Her favorite flowers are posies, and she loves to draw.
