The Discussion and Character Thread associated with the AU High Roleplay. A shocker I know given the thread title. Anyway, first off some ground rules. 1) As a thread on the Nano site you are expected to abide by the wider forum rules. The most likely one to get broken given the characters we're dealing with (i.e horny teenagers) is probably the sexual content one. There's nothing wrong with your characters having such relationships, but if things do start heading in that direction you will be required to fade to black and then carry on with whatever you like in PMs. 2) There is a very convenient and lovely 'Leave of Absence' thread now stickied in the forum. If you are going to be away from the RP for a couple of days if would be awesome if you could leave us a heads up in there. Even more awesome would be if you could leave a heads up in this post or in an OOC comment in the main thread, just so the people you're mostly interacting with will find it. 3) Nothing is currently off limits as far as RP content goes, but there are a couple of things that require some sort of warning in the post's subject/title thing if your post features them. Currently this is just motor accidents (especially involving trees) and pill induced overdoses. If there is anything you would be really upset to come across in the course of posting, let me know and I'll make sure it's added to the list of things requiring warnings. I will also try to let you know via PMs whether something of that nature has appeared in the main thread. Details of who has requested what will not be shared unless the person chooses to do it themselves. 4) Drama limitations! A slightly controversial one perhaps, but one I'm thinking is necessary due to some incredible OOC confusion towards the end of the last thread when a large amount of drama hit the fan all at once and that the drama of some characters was starting to eclipse the entire existence of others, which I didn't think was fair. So, I'm limiting it to one bout of serious drama per author per in game fortnight. With the amount of players we had this still leaves plenty of opportunity for dramatics kicking around the place, but it can be spread out a little more. 5) Announcing your drama! More a guideline than an actual rule, and kind of connected to the point above, but I thought it should have a place of its own. If there's something you've been planning to happen to your characters but you don't want it to get shoved to the sidelines by other drama going on let us know you've got something on the boil and a rough time frame for when you want it to kick off, with a request than nothing else big happen until it's done so. Since we're all nice people will shall try to accommodate you. Those who refuse will be subject to DM's 'disappointed face'. 6) Character limitations! Only four main characters per author. If you can't handle that many there's no requirement to go that high, but no more than four allowed. You are allowed to populate your characters lives with other people (parents, siblings, generic friends in or out of school) but these are effectively NPCs and so aren't allowed to have much of an impact on the storyline. Also, as NPCs they are subject to other people picking them up and playing with them, although I would ask that people stay within the character already established for such people. 7) No more new students. This of course doesn't mean 'no new players', those are welcome at any time, but their characters must have been already present at the school. While I know new students can technically transfer into schools pretty much whenever during the year, AU High has already had a ridiculous number of new students this academic year and so they've kind of closed their gates to such things now. There is, however, one small exception... 8) Exchange Students! For a limited time only I will be permitting a few exchange students to come to AU High. Please don't set your heart on this idea because I will be restricting places. If you wish for your character to be an exchange student please PM me with the details and I shall let you know yay or nay as soon as possible. Also, if pre existing students wish to act as host families for some of the exchange students also let me know and we'll see how things pan out. I believe that is all for now...but it is quite early for me and I've got to leave for work in ten minutes so I'm sure there's something I've forgotten.

Character format Name: Age: Grade: (a quick note on this: while any grade at the high school is allowed, thus far every last one of the main characters is a junior or a senior, so it might be easier for interaction if you pick one of those two) Physical Description: (pictures are permitted, preferably with a bit of writing attached for extra detail) Background and Personality: Other Significant Stuff: Here are my characters to act as examples: Name: Tornica Littlefeather-Smith (although he's currently using just the Smith part of that) Age: 16 Grade: 11 Physical Description: 5'10" with straight black hair, dark brown eyes, and brown skin. He's grown out of any adolescent awkwardness and ended up quite good looking. (http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/9948191) Background and Personality: Tornica was the result of two overly horny, alcohol fuelled teenagers. They briefly tried to make a go of it, but decided life for both them and the unborn baby would be better if they just went their separate ways. His dad, Tirin, joined the army and stayed in Tornica's life through child support and the occasional visit. His mother, Alaina, went stayed at home in the Pine Ridge Reservation and tried her best to get on with life despite being a single mother. Tornica had a relatively happy childhood and was three when his mother married someone else from the reservation, eventually producing four half siblings for him to deal with. He went through the school system there, never excelling but managing not to fail if he put enough work in. Despite this very basic level of academic talent, his mother was quite determined for him to go to college, but thought that he might stand a better chance at this if he finished his education somewhere that wasn't Pine Ridge. So he got shipped out to live with his father, said father's ex-stripper wife, and yet another half sibling with the aim of starting AU High in the fall. Other Significant Stuff: He lives in a trailer park just outside the main town, owns a very battered truck that is barely roadworthy, and works in the restaurant of a fancy hotel where his step mother works as a receptionist. Loves dancing and is damn good at it, although he isn't sure he wants that knowledge broadcast around his brand new school. --- Name: Archie 'Archer' Fletcher Age: 16 Grade: 11 Physical Description: A little under six foot, wiry build with dark hair and eyes. An almost permanent cheeky grin on his face and a bit of fuzz that has aspirations of being a moustache hovering around his top lip. His mother and younger brother and sister live in a small, but comfortable, apartment near the centre of town. His dad ran out on the family when he was seven. Archer's over this well enough not to have any lingering anger over the issue in his day to day life, but he certainly has no desire to see or hear from the man. Last he heard he was in jail for theft somewhere in New York. Archer definitely makes a point in school of trying to be the class clown. He doesn't like failing and so makes sure to do enough work to pass, but other than that will slack off and goof around, generally not thinking or not caring that he might be making it difficult for the other students to learn as well. He has no particular academic ambition, but definitely plans on getting the hell out of this town at some point in the near future. He currently plans on just joining the army and seeing where that takes him, or just up and moving to a completely different city on the other side of the country and seeing what he can make of himself there. Other Significant Stuff: Archie was his dad's name and so when he disappeared, Archer switched to using the nickname and point blank refused to answer to any other. It's now stuck and he just forgets people might actually try referring to him by his actual name. --- Name: Eyron Watts Age: 17 Grade: 12 Physical Description: Several inches above six feet and very solidly built. He's got pale grey eyes and dark brown hair, worn long but kept back in a pony tail. Not ugly, but nothing particularly special to look at either. Wears a bright red jacket that looks more at home on a circus ringmaster than a high school student. His mother's family live mostly in Maine and were able to help them through this touch financial time while his father re-found his feet and was able to get back into work. With a bit more careful planning and input into the new business from his mother, Eyron's family now live a pretty comfortable life in the suburbs a few miles outside of town. Eyron is a calm, quiet young man, who does try to be 'one of the guys' in order to fit in, but doesn't really enjoy it as much as he thinks he's supposed to. He kept his head down as best he could during school and does fairly well academically. He wants to go to college, but doesn't have any particular direction to his life. He combats this problem by avoiding it as much as he can and doing more hanging out with guys who's interest he really isn't sure he shares. He's also spending quite a lot of energy avoiding the part of him that's trying to let him know he really isn't interested in all the pretty girls these friends point out and that said male friends are much more interesting in that regard. Because that part of him clearly doesn't know what it's talking about. Other Significant Stuff: On the football team, more out of habit than any real desire to play the game at this point. He does enjoy it, but not with the level of passion the captain generally prefers in his players. --- Name: Christopher Marlowe Age: 18 (to be turning 19 during the year) Grade: Senior Physical Description: Tall and slender with dark eyes and dark hair that he's trying to grow out. Fair skin that's currently the kind of pale you usually only get from being indoors a large chunk of your time. Clearly gets his clothes from similar stores to Mo (combining thrift stores with a healthy dose of internet purchases when he can afford them) but tends to tone down his eccentric style when at school, leaving the top hat and cane for the weekend. Clearly he’s just dyed his hair for something :p ) Background and Personality: Christopher is one of two children from a fairly solid middle class family dominated by scientists and engineers. Much to his parents confusion, Christopher didn't seem to inherit any of this family aptitude for science and instead excelled at the arts. He was forever making up his own stories and songs, forcing his sister and the family pets to put on plays for anyone he could get to stay long enough to watch. Wanting to provide him with a creative outlet, his parents had him take violin, piano, and singing lessons from a relatively early age. It wasn't enough for Christopher who campaigned tirelessly to be allowed to go to a school for performing arts rather than a regular high school. He ultimately lost this battle and was enrolled in AU High instead, along with his twin sister, but was mollified by having acting classes added to the musical ones. Aside from having a fairly hectic schedule, his life was fairly normal and ordinary until he was caught what he thought was a cold just before he entered senior year. He couldn't shake it and ended up missing increasing amounts of school until he pretty much wasn't going, his health deteriorating rapidly. Around Christmas time the diagnosis was changed from 'uncommonly persistent flu' to enterovirus induced myocarditis. Unfortunately by this point his heart was on the brink of failing and his doctors didn't think he'd last long without a heart transplant. He was lucky enough to find a match (after his case of very near death bumped him to near the top of the waiting lists) a few months ago and has just been deemed well enough to return to school to finish his senior year and actually graduate. Personality wise Christopher can be summed up in two words: Drama Queen. He loves being the centre of attention, he lives for performing, and makes is generally friendly and gregarious with everyone he meets, whether he knows them or not. Significant Other Stuff: His family moved to America from the Czech Republic when Christopher was a child. Although he picked up English fairly quickly he was determined to keep his Czech accent, which he now has difficulty shaking no matter what language he speaks. Although when speaking English at least he has managed to get himself down to just sounding vaguely Eastern European. He has a twin sister called Francesca who did graduate on time and has just started a medical degree at Cambridge University, England. Finally, he prefers the nickname 'Kit' (because he gets a real kick out of being called Kit Marlowe) but will grudgingly accept Chris as a shortening instead to avoid confusion with Kit Deshan.

Name: Addison "Addie" Destiny Lee Age: 17 Grade: Junior Physical Description: Curly auburn hair, shoulder length. Almond shaped green eyes, a few freckles across her nose, and a gentle smile. 5'6" and 116 lbs. Normally, she's dressed in some sort of artsy sweater and skinny jeans with a pair of combat boots and an ever-present key necklace. Background: Grew up in a small town in north Georgia, but moved school at the beginning of Sophmore year after her mother got a job transfer. Her father is a successful lawyer and her mother is the VP of a medium sized department store chain. She has younger twin siblings, a boy and girl. The whole family is musically gifted, but especially Addie and her younger brother. Addie takes good care of her family because her parents both work long hours. They both clearly care a lot, their jobs just get in the way of family time sometimes. Personality: Addie is a really genuine person. She was raised to be very conservative (politically and socially). She is naturally giving and supportive. She is fiercely protective of those she loves, but she would never take it to the point of violence. She is very intelligent and is always ready with a witty comeback. Addie is INCREDIBLY musically gifted. She plays piano, violin, flute, and sings. She also composes and writes lyrics. She is never without a notebook in case inspiration strikes. Her main flaw is that she is INCREDIBLY clumsy. She can't make it through a day without falling at least once. Other Significant Stuff: In a band called Smashing Mirrors with friend Tony and boyfriend Nick. Addie had the BIGGEST crush on Tony before she started dating Nick. She and Nick aren't "unhappy" per say, but they aren't the happiest couple in the world either. Name: Anthony "Tony" Jonathan Davis Age: 17 Grade: Junior Physical Description: 5'10" with medium-long brown hair, light blue eyes, great teeth. Soccer build. Background: Has lived in the same house his whole life. His dad died in a house robbery gone wrong, and he doesn't get along with his step dad. He has a close relationship with his mom and with his older brother. His younger sister is closer to her father since she is actually biologically his. His family still has family dinners and tries to stick together as much as possible. Personality: Relaxed, thoughtful, and very responsible. He loves teasing his friends and family. He is very athletic, playing soccer, basketball, and tennis. He is also very passionate about theatre and music. He plays guitar and sings a little. He is paranoid about home security after what happened to his dad. He is intelligent and confident, but he tends to hide his emotions a lot of the time. Other Significant Stuff: In the band Smashing Mirrors. Has a major crush on Addie and doesn't get along very well with Nick. Name: Nick Ellis Sommers Age: 17 Grade: Senior Physical Description: Tall and muscular with short, curly blonde hair and bright green eyes. 5'11", football build. Background: Nick comes from a rich family with workaholic parents. He has an older sister living in California attending college. His parents fight a lot, and Nick feels caught in the middle a lot of the time. Nick has never had to work for anything, so he's used to getting the world on a silver platter. Personality: Loud, occasionally to the point of obnoxiousness. He's charismatic and naturally funny. He has a reputation as a bit of a player, but he's been dating Addie for about 7 months. He really does care, he isn't good at showing it. He is musically talented, and plays the drums and guitar. He is also very athletic and plays basketball, soccer, football, and baseball. He has a bad habit of drumming on his desk with pencils or whatever he has handy. He is terrified of losing Addie or of his parents divorcing. Other Significant Stuff: In the band Smashing Mirrors. I am new to this thread but I've wanted to join for a while and haven't had the chance. May I jump in? I have four characters! (Also, I'm British, so I'm not sure on how the grade system works. If I've made any mistakes then feel free to correct me) Name: William Tigris Age: 18 Grade: 12 Physical Description: Fairly tall and slim, his legs provide most of his height. He is therefore rather clumsy. Dark brown hair, a few strands always fall into his eyes. His clothing is expensive but he tends to alter it to better suit his tastes and he is hardly ever seen without a knee-length brown coat. Background and Personality: Wing is the son of two very important noblemen and has a twin sister, Amber. They did not get as much attention as their older brother and were left to do as they pleased, leading to Wing gaining a bad injury to his left leg that gave him a bad limp. He became shut in and antisocial, preferring the company of books to people. He's got better, but will still only communicate with those he likes. He is very clever and also intensely curious. Other Significant Stuff: Prefers the nickname "Wing" over William. Hates being called "Will". Name: Lucie Queene Age: 17 Grade: 11 Physical Description: 5'1", with long, wavy, auburn hair and blue eyes. There are several scars on her left cheek and neck. She always wears a glove on her left hand to cover the bad wound and burn scars there. The rest of her clothing forms some pattern of yellow and red or black and she wears the triple-diamond insignia of her father's company. Background and Personality: Lucie's father is a very wealthy businessman, meaning Lucie was given everything she ever wanted as a child. This came with a price, however, she's had to work for the darker side of the business since she was very young. Once, an accident with another employee and an open flame caused the injuries to her left arm and the ensuing fight gave her a scarred face. Though her mind is strands away from breaking, she hides all this behind gloves and a flirty, bitchy, bad-girl persona. Other Significant Stuff: She was abused in her childhood, leaving physical and emotional scars which she is desperate to hide. Name: Kitty Age: 17 Grade: 11 Physical Description: Average height and a little stocky. Has a huge amount of curly blonde hair and very wide green eyes. Most commonly seen wearing pink and pastel blue or yellow, usually with puffy sleeves of some kind. Background and Personality: Though Kitty has always been well off, her parents pushed her into getting a good education though all she wants to do is open up a restaurant and make people happy with her cooking. She has no siblings and entertained herself as a kid by making up her own fantasies, which she still carries on with. Some people think she is a little crazy but she's just having fun. Other Significant Stuff: Just the most random person you have ever met. Name: Cassandra "Cassie" Smith Age: 18 Grade: 12 (?) Physical Description: Just below average height, short brown hair cut into a bob with straight fringe. She stands very straight, making her look a little taller than she actually is. She is extremely pale, with hazel eyes. Her clothes are formal and in shades of black and blue- an ironed blouse, smart jumper, knee-length pleated skirt. Like a school uniform but she wears clothes like that pretty much all the time. Background and Personality: Cassie's family is huge. They own a BnB and also live in the building, one room each, a whole extended family on her mother's side. Her life has gone pretty much the opposite of Kitty's, the constant noise and varying degrees of attention means she gets on far better on her own. She can be stoic at times but once you get to know her she's actually quite a nice girl and very brainy. Also, if she gets really excited or angry her reactions can be fairly over the top. These okay?

Oh yeah, that's something I should have added up there. I'm British too and so everything I know about how American High Schools work has been pieced together from TV and from making mistakes in previous threads (how credits and graduation is supposed to work still escapes me). So please forgive any continuing errors on my part, because I'm sure I will make them. And I'm sure they're all fine but I'll have to check them out properly when I'm at home. Although after meeting Dust I will be giving all your characters very suspicious looks :p

Whoa new nano format, hmm. I totally agree with most of your points DM. I'm SO glad they made a leave of absence thread instead of the newer authors clogging up the threads with their "rp's" Busy day of school today, will post bios later!

To those of you just joining us! We are about to start a PJ/birthday party sleepover at the twins house. I will be doing the intro post here shortly and you are all welcome to have your characters stop by for the fun. I basically have it that all player characters are welcomed to stay (as well as anyone who is drinking and can't drive as keys will be taken upon arrival) but "other" NPC characters will not be aside from a few who can't drive home. Feel free to check out the twins house pics below if you're curious but Atraya and her friend Becca (who is visiting from the old school) have transformed the house into a blanket fort fun maze. Name: Regan Dysart Age: 16 Grade: 11/Junior Physical description: Average in almost every way. Average height, build, face. His eyes are sky blue though. (Picture Toby Maguire) Background and Personality: Regan's parents died when he was little. He was "adopted" by Cary and Rory Dysart just after his parents died and he grew up with them as parents, though they told him about his parents often. He's a typical fun loving boy, a bit gullible sometimes, and is more of a follower than a leader. Though he does stand up for what's right and wrong when it boils down to it. Regan is the "everybody's friend" kinda guy. He gets along with pretty much anyone he meets. Very down to earth. ADDED: Recently lost his left forearm in a car accident so his personality might be a little different. Significant Other Stuff: Free and enjoying being more of a hanging out with the boys kinda guy. this has warped his sense of what he wants a little. Though he prefers girls, he isn't opposed to guys either. When he does look at someone in a significant way, he is dedicated to them completely. Name: Aethan Havorilus Age: 17 (now almost 18) Grade: 12/Senior Physical description: Aethan is very much a pretty boy. Somewhat tall, pretty blond hair, beautiful emerald green eyes. His form is lithe but he is stronger than he looks, somewhat like the picture but a little more thinly framed. Background and Personality: Spoiled little rich boy. Aethan has earned what he was given by small tasks his father gave him, thus making him a bit spoiled even if he is learning to work for what he gets. He and his sister just transferred in from a prep school much further away. Their father wanted to have them learn a little more about the world and less about material things. When he was fourteen he watched his mother die which messed him up a little, but he doesn't let on. He has always tried to be the strong one in the family since, holding everyone together. Aethan is a soccer, hockey, and baseball player, which makes him a bit of a jock, but he's incredibly sharp minded and a nerd when it comes to history. He tried to be friends with everyone, being the "popular guy" at the old school. His one pride and joy is his motorcycle. And his room. This is his car but with silver detailing not orange. Significant Other Stuff: Currently and newly single. Liandra, his last girlfriend, didn't want to try the long distance thing, so when he was transferred she broke things off. For the better, since his sister figured out that Liandra was seeing his best friend Tristan behind his back. Name: Atraya Havorilus Age: 17(now almost 18) Grade: 12/Senior Physical Appearance: Somewhat tall, like her brother, with long beautiful blond hair and striking emerald green eyes. Her form is lithe. She looks a bit like the picture above. Background and Personality: Much like her twin brother, Atraya was changed by her mother's death. Where once she was a shy, conservative girl, she is now more outgoing. Though she acts conservative deep down she really just wants to let loose, but doesn't want to disappoint her brother or her father. She's taken dancing and singing lessons, but her real dream is to be either in movies or on broadway. Like her twin brother, Atraya was also spoiled, but unlike Aethan, she was able to just charm things out of her father. The news about being transferred to a new school her last year has not left her happy. Atraya was the "in" girl at the old school and is afraid that now no one will care about her. Atraya tries to be friends with everyone, but at times she fails at this. The truth is she's a bit of a diva, more concerned with her appearance and her acting skills than much else. She is a respectful girl, though at times she has a bit of a rough tongue. Her bedroom looks like this. Her car like this Significant Other Stuff: Atraya had a boyfriend back home but he recently crushed her with a breakup. Here is Havorilus Manor. The second picture has stairs that go down to the pool area which looks like this. The garage would look something like this, but with five stalls (yes I said five). Those bedrooms would be the master bedroom and guest rooms. The library shown would be their father's study (with a desk in it as well). Name: Kieta Apostolos Age: 17 (just turned a month ago) Grade: 12 Physical description: About 5’3”, petite, long wavy dark hair that lightens up in the summer months, blue eyes so dark that they almost look black unless you look really closely. Dresses sort of simply. Generally loose flowing skirts with a blouse of some sort and a sweater over the top (sort of a modern hippy style). She pretty much looks like this. Background/personality: Yes, she comes from a Greek family. Her grandparents moved over from Greece when her father was very young and they still speak a lot of Greek and are very traditional. Kieta is without a doubt outspoken and spunky. She doesn’t conform to the social norms and she doesn’t really care to. She is completely an “independent” kind of girl. Her mother passed away during the summer from amyloidosis, a battle she fought since Kieta was about ten. Her father and her are close. He’s a very explicit writer at the local paper, having an editorial column of his own and is currently seeing someone he is very happy with (even if she doesn’t compare to his former wife). Kieta gets a lot of her personality from him. Though she’s been around all year so far, Kieta hasn’t been too visible as she doesn’t really hang out with the “in” crowd at all. In fact she has likely started nasty verbal onslaughts with some of them over bullying (either verbal or physical). The controversy at school about gays has sort of brought her to the forefront as she is very active in pushing for the equal rights. I guess, sort of picture the Julia styles personality in Ten Things I Hate About You and you have her kind of personality. Other stuff: She does swing both ways, but she prefers guys over girls. She’s been BFF’s with Skylar for most of her life. She has likely only ever really had one boyfriend before as she tends to keep herself busy.

Re-posting my characters! ------ Name: Arianne Armstrong Age: 16 Grade: Junior (equivalent of UK yr12) Birthday: 24th January Physical Description: She’s 5’2”, slim build (with the beginnings of some curves). Disconcertingly pale grey-green eyes. Her hair is dark brown in a messy layered bob and chunks of colour dyed in. She's kind of pretty but not beautiful. Always in jeans and trainers which often look battered and vintage band t-shirts/hoody’s that are kept immaculate, usually with some kind of ethnic-y scarf round her neck. Has two sets of earrings in each lobe. Tries to hide it but from time to time has an obvious limp. Background and Personality: Arianne was born in San Francisco; her father is American and mother Australian who met backpacking in Mexico (she was an accident). They tried to make a go but split when she was six months old, where she moved to Adelaide with her mother and lived together with her grandparents. Her father was unable to emigrate. He moved to Maine, married her step-mother and had her half sister when she was 11. Arianne’s mother moved them back to the US on a whim the Christmas just before she turned 12 and they now live a few streets away from each other. Her accent is strong Australian. Quiet, reserved and often withdrawn, but break through her shell and you’ll find someone who has quite a dirty sense of humour. She’s a hard worker and determined. Excels at maths and the sciences. Hopefully I can get this right in one shot. :P Name:Aerona Age: 17 (August 30th) Grade: 12 Physical Description: On the tallish side, brown eyes and long dark brown hair, it's pretty curly in that picture, she wouldn't normally have it that curly. Dresses in overly flared jeans (yes... bellbottoms) and babydoll tees. She tries not to stand out much. She -does- like cute dresses too (well, she loves anything cute) and I tend to dress her in shorter skirts and dresses because she tries to be so modest and I like making her self-conscious. >:) Background and Personality: A transfer student, her parents are missionaries who are recently back from a couple of years in Bolivia, prior to that she was in Japan, Australia, other South American countries... She's terribly -terribly- shy, to the point she sometimes would rather not even leave the house. She has to force herself to try and interact. Much of the time she over thinks what she should be doing and saying, wondering if what she's saying is the right thing. She hopes she's acting somewhat normal. Other Significant Stuff: Loves cooking and baking, she'd consider Alis to be her bestfriend in Imagin. Aerona's parents still go away quite often anywhere from a couple of days tto a couple of weeks so she's usually left home alone and it's made her very independent when it comes to things like cooking, cleaning and other housework. Aerona actually hates being left alone, especially at night. Her family is catholic, they go to the parish in town, Aerona usually helps with the Sunday school. Currently she considers herself to be dating Regan even though he's trying to break up with her. :D Name: Alis Age: 17 (August 18th) Grade: 12 Physical Description: The above pic is of Alis without her putting on makeup etc. This is her with it. Blonde hair, blue eyes. She tends to find clothes in thrift stores and make her own things, a rather patchwork sort of style. Background and Personality: She's outgoing and rather outspoken at times, was taken away from her parents and put into fostercare as a toddler when she was found wandering the streets in February wearing only a diaper, her parents had been 'partying' as usual and didn't notice she was missing. She recently was taken in by a family in town, though almost every family she's been with has mistreated her in one way or another. This family was no exception and so she ran away after being terribly beaten. She's now secretly living in an abandoned apartment downtown. Personality wise, she's a tough cooky, she won't admit to needing help in anyway, finds it hard to trust people (men especially) and does everything she can to cover up any troubles she might be going through. Other Significant Stuff: Beaux is her constant companion, Beaux is a mouse (I can't find that one pic I had used and liked so much... hopefully I'll stumble across it again) that rides on Alis' head and shoulders mos of the time. He gets upset if she doesn't bring him everywhere with her, he loves to socialise, eat sweet things, and bathe about 50 times a day. Best friends with Aerona. Name: Aynslie Age: 16 ( will be 17 on November 23rd) Grade: 11 Physical Description: Uhm, see photo above. She's got some curves on her, much to her mother's (and somewhat to her) dismay. She's on the taller side though, maybe 5'6 or a bit taller. She loves wearing vintage clothing. Background and Personality: Ayns has lived in Imagin most of her life, she and her mother live in an apartment downtown. She's outgoing, loves to have fun and laugh.(Note: I just realised how differently she's turned out from how I had planned her to be in the beginning. :P) She's always been a ballet dancer, and is hoping to get into an academy in NYC to become a professional. Other Significant Stuff: Her mother is always after her about her weight even though she is under the average for her age. She's developed a case of anorexia and is constantly counting calories, skipping meals and working out to keep her weight as low as she can. Ayns is best friends with Wolf and has had a huge crush on her since they first met. She was always trying to get Wolf to go out with her but it just never happeneds, she is currently dating Julie, she's very open about her preferences for girls. :) And... introducing: Name: Sophia Age: 16 (December 31st) Grade: 11 Physical Description: Here's another pic of Sophia, longish blonde hair, dark blue eyes. Background and Personality: (Still working out some things for her AU character... we'll see how she turns out) Sophia has grown up in Imagin, she lives with her parents on the edge of town. Sophia's parents have always regarded her as an 'accident' and a 'mistake', something they've actually said in her presence a few times. As a result, they tend to not pay attention to her, they prefer to just do their own thing. They aren't -cruel- to her, they provide the basic necessities, food, clothing, shelter... but other than that she's basically on her own, they never even really speak -to- her, show affection, etc. I suppose she's more like a pet cat or something, they just don't see the point in interacting with her. The result of that treatment is that she's always been quiet, since no one really spoke to her, she's never spoken much to anyone else, she's quite shy too, in a different way from Aerona though in that she's not worried about what people might think of her, she's just not used to being noticed. Other Significant Stuff: Her personality being as such has made it so that people all through her life have pinned her as strange, odd, something not right about her, she's been teased mercilessly all through school... even some teachers have taken up the notion of her being weird and either ignore her or try to call her out on her oddities. She's learned to try to be invisible and avoid standing out as much as possible. A couple of times have seen her put into the special needs classes, it never lasted long though because she's not challenged in that way. Her grades are pretty good, she loves to read, draw and write and has a great imagination. She -thinks- she would like singing songs and playing games too but she's never really tried, not being used to the sound of her own voice or having really any friends to play with. Wolf, as much as she hates me for it at the moment, will become a b ackground character for now. Things might change in the future so that I swap out one of these four and bring her back but for now she's not a main. A bit of background though; Wolf and her mother moved to the reservation in Imagin when her father and three brothers were murderedin Washington state and her mother just couldn't take living there anymore. Wolf's an artist, she carves wood sculptures, draws, paints, just about anything. She's an outdoors sort of girl, loves hiking, camping in all sorts of weather, loves nature. Wolf was recently injured when she was hiking, a hunter with a compound bow shot her accidentally in the back, she's in the hospital recovering. There has been some nerve damage to her spine and her right leg is n umb. Her mother has heard about a surgeon that might be able to help (In NY maybe?) and I'll be sending her out of the picture there for a couple of months. I do have pics of people's homes... some outfits, etc but I'll post those in the thread if it comes to that.

Yeah, just noticed that -after- posting my bios! >.> Can I suggest everyone avoids replying to a post (if possible - I know sometimes it's not, but just try to leastways) and just uses the 'new comment' box at the bottom of the thread for the time being? As I can't change the view to 'flat list' on this new site to have them show up chronologically, so everything is out of order in terms of replies to posts and it's doing my nut. And chances are I'm going to completely miss something as it's half way up the page rather than at the bottom where it should be to make any kind of sense!

I second the recommendation to just post in the 'post a new comment' box at the bottom rather than replying directly to posts. Mostly because I never go through the thread to check for new posts there, unless I already know there's something to find, so when the thread gets long enough I will just completely miss it. Fingers crossed for the option to 'flat list' turning up as they improve the site, because this threaded style just drives me batty. I absolutely hate it :p

She has dark skin, black hair, and black eyes. She’s naturally very slight, with one of those metabolisms everyone envys, and the money to squeeze into the latest fashions. Being rich , pretty and fashion conscious means that she’s part of the in crowd and pretty popular at school, but she’s involved in all the backstabbing gossip and social scheming you’d expect. Tesha is sick and has no energy to admonish her sister, who she loves but often doesn’t really LIKE Jarilon loves both his sister’s dearly and was generally the only one who could be bothered to discipline Kit. Despite, or perhaps because of this she misses him dreadfully now he’s gone off to college, and he’s usually the one she’ll phone for advice. (He will probably make cameos) Keturah is bright, but lazy and her grades tend to fluctuate dramatically depending on what’s going on at home. She likes Art, Spanish and Politics but she much prefers parties to all of the above. It’s a shame that most of her intelligence seems to be devoted to how to make herself queen of the highschool jungle or gain revenge for someone’s latest put down. He still is, but he’s completely smitten with Izzy Quickwaters. She didn’t exactly grow up on the next street, but they’ve lived in the same town since they were kids. One day she came back from summer holiday with puberty well and truly underway and his jaw hit the floor, he’s never quite picked it back up. Despite being overcompetive Kern is otherwise laid back and friendly. He isn’t too bothered about gossip, or status, possible because as a sports prodigy he’s always been at the top of the high school food chain. He very rarely starts fights, but often breaks them up. In terms of Academics Kern is neitherbright, or particularly stupid. He tends to get mainly Cs, with a smattering of Bs. He’s good at maths and anything hands on or practical. He struggles with really abstract or interpretative classes and would probably fail English literature if Izzy didn’t help him. He’s not very curious, which holds him back intellectual but means gossip passes over his head, patient and solid he’s a dependable person to have on your side if you befriend him and a cool head in a crisis...mostly. Kern is torn. Part of him wants a football scholarship and a ticket to college teams and hopefully professional football. The other half of him knows what he doesn’t want, he doesn’t want to spend 9-5 in an office kissing ass. So why should he bother with college when he could happily work for his father’s construction company and take it over when the old man retires? Significant other stuff : Kern lives with his dad, his mother ran off when he was very young and his dad SAYS she went to join a hippy commune but he’s never really established whether that was the case or not. She’s friendly, but won’t be drawn in to situation she wants nothing to do with. Izzy has tremendous amounts of energy, and she needs it because her hobbies...well there are a lot of them. She plays violin for the choir, and sings with it some of them solo parts, is on the swimming team, and tries to write her own songs. She also dabbles in guitar, but she’s much much better at the fiddle/violin. She may well get distracted through a conversation and abandon people in favour or something she’s remembered she has to do, and she’s often passionately engaged in what she’s doing at the time so that some times getting her attention focussed on you can be difficult Isabella cannot get her head around maths or the sciences, but she tries really hard and manages to drag most of her academics up to the B level. She excels at things that involve sound which is definitely her medium, so she’s good at music and languages, though she tends to supplement the requisite textbooks with tapes to get the hang of them. She adores water, and the second the summers hits will be found beside it. With her pale skin, this can lead to her returning to school in September with a bad case of sunburn, or stinking of suntan cream. She loves music and wants to work in the industry, but has no desire to be famous. Something I should post about my exchange student plans, since it's already taken one person by surprise (and I really should have mentioned it at the time, sorry everyone) I'm accepting applications for potential exchange student characters, but I'm afraid you don't get to find out if they've got into the 'programme' as it were straight away. I was thinking of waiting about a week before making my final decision on the matter, just to give everyone a chance to see the idea and think up a character if they really want one. If you want to jump in with the character straight away then I'm afraid no exchange programme for you :p You're still allowed to have the character, it just means they'll have to have already been at the school since the previous year.

Redhead with big brown eyes, pale skin with a dusting of freckles. She thinks her legs are too stubby, her hips and ass are too big and she wants to take a handful from each hip and transfer it to her boobs which she thinks are too small. He’s a brilliant actor and can be extraordinarily manipulative when he wants to be, but as opposed to using this to a self-benefactory advantage, he’d rather irritate people for the hell of it. He says what he thinks, and if it’s rude, or downright mean…he says it anyway. Background/Personality: Coming from a wealthy family, her parents named her for a women’s rights leader (Elizabeth Cady Stanton) in hopes that she would do something besides just going through the motions and becoming a trophy wife. She did. And her parents aren’t sure they like this direction any better. Although not the smartest thing in the world, she’s not dumb, and she specializes in two facing her way around to make friends. Although she does have a few real friends who she respects and treats well, most of the time it’s just faked and she uses people until she has what she wants. Other Stuff: She has two younger brothers. She’s on the cheerleading squad, loves pop music, and works in the school store in her spare time. Name: Quentin Burgess Age: 15 Grade: Sophmore Physical Description: 5’5”, built like a twig and without much muscle. A chocolate brown hair, bangs that almost fall in his eyes but not quite, usually a little ruffled. Blue eyes, pale skin, ovangular face with a gently pointed chin. More cute than conventionally handsome. Background/Personality: Yielding from Birmingham, Quentin- or Quen, or QB, it’s all the same to him- is on a year long exchange from Britain. He’s a bit of the absent minded professor sort, though not really shy. A little awkward, extremely agreeable, and all too willing to compromise. He’s a bit skittish, if anything- easily startled by loud noises, but does not lose his head or panick easily. He works very well under pressure, but has the tendency to ramble extremely quickly as opposed to being right to the point. He’s extremely quick on the uptake, not only intelligent, but clever. Concepts and ideas, as well as general pieces of information, and especially languages, are quickly filed and remembered. He is, however, terrible with names. Quentin, despite all his smarts, lacks, for the most part, common sense. His intelligence isn’t always used for the best reasons. He’s also notoriously bad at most sports. Other Stuff: His interests include cryptography, and anything to do with math or linguistics. The singular sport he can do is fencing. He has an older brother and an older sister who he gets along with fairly well, but they’re back in England. I’m not sure if we’re doing host families for exchange students…but if we are, I believe my exchange student is in need of one.

With people she's comfortable with, she can often be seen smiling or laughing. She's generally a nice person unless she feels threatened – in which case she'll throw up her walls again. She loves dancing and has gotten to be really good at it over the years. Oh my god COME on guys, 1 day, 1 day and already 35 posts give me a chance here I’m working till 9pm most nights! :P @ NAGATS Izzy and Kern went to visit wolf right before the move, they were there on Friday, the night before the party but I think the post might have got lost, want me to start that again or just leave it and start fresh with the party now? If just starting Fresh can you just assume they visited, brought flowers and the whole thing was kind of uneventful? @DM Do you want Archer to be in the same car as Tesha, or arriving some other fashion? ((Lol Kit's Vain and wasn't reffering to Miho in particularly, Miho is a fellow fashionista and therefore probably IS cool in Kit's books, it's just that obviously when people signed up for the actual exchange they'd hve no idea who they were getting in advance they might be able to say stuff like "No vegetarians" or "No smokers" or "No boys" but I doubt they could have said "No losers" :P If Miho's coming in right away Then maybe we can get Cadee, Miho and Kit to form the "In" clique of the juniors Kit needs more ffriends at the top of the social ladder.

Cool we can definately work that In I'll have to try and see if I can remember a high light of the stuff that people have been involved in but some things for kit that spring to mind immediatly - she goes to a dance class every thurdsday evening, - she started dating a senior she's had a massive crush on since forever but it didn't go too well and they've now broken up (So she probably cried on Cadees shoulder over that ) -She's currently single and looking - Her sister is very ill (see the thread) and kit worries about her a lot - Her sister is dating someone that Kit deems uncool but he's gradually growing on her. - The school team is going to playoffs so the dance squad/ cheerleaders/ whatever are probably practising their routines really hard. :D @ Nagats Damn I must have missed your post in the move instead, I'm trying to mix up who I rp with as I've been doing a lot of stuff with DMs characters as of late so I'd like to rp the hospital thing, however I didn't see your post and have no idea what happened with the wipe sooo I'm just going to respond to the generalities you've given me rather than specific dialogue and we can keep going from there? @ general Anyone have opinions on this night dress thing ?

And returning to AU High in mid-December...... :D Name: James Henry (Harry) Fairfax Age: 18 Grade: Senior (equivalent of UK yr13) Birthday: 14th November Physical Description: 6’1”, dark hair, dark eyes, handsome even at a young age. Usually dressed in button down shirts & smart jeans, all well cut, but kept casual with rolled up sleeves/open collar. Background and Personality: James’s great grandfather was the second son in a British aristocratic family and married an American heiress from Maine – the family is steeped in old money. He attended a private prep boarding school instead of Imagin’s elementary and middle schools until his philanthropic grandmother insisted the family should do more to show their support to the area. James’s parents now make rather generous donations to AU High along with his enrolment in the school in freshman year. His two younger sisters are also presently at private school but will follow suit to Imagin High. James is genial and well mannered which may or may not come across as somewhat flirtatious; there’s usually a smile on his face and twinkle in his eye. He’s quietly subversive of the things his parents think he should be doing as in theory it’s to take his place in high society or perhaps follow suit into politics (his father is toying with running for Governor in the next State elections) but James is actually less interested in this and enjoys not being surrounded by those trappings. He has an interest in the classics (both literature and civilisations), travel and languages. He’s fairly fluent in several (Latin, Greek & French) and can ballroom dance. Significant Other Stuff: James is bisexual, something he makes no personal secret of but keeps his parents wholly in the dark about as they really wouldn’t approve. He something of an attraction to blue eyes, and appreciates anyone who is blunt or ignores the social hierarchy. ------- Okay, so I know the majority of you know him as Harry. Until he was 24 he was only ever James though. I’ve been under a bit of a conundrum which to go by in this RP but I think to be true to novel it should stay James. Maybe he occasionally has given out the name Harry to remain anonymous from time to time, idk. If everyone would rather he is Harry to avoid confusion with other more NCP James/Jim’s I can come up with a reason though. James has missed the first semester of senior year as he’s been in England (but spent the term at Eton as an exchange student) following the death of his second uncle, the 18th Earl of Cumberland, whom he hadn’t met but via complex British aristocratic inheritance law his father is the only male heir to. James equally isn’t enamoured of now technically being able to call himself ‘Lord’… (I know a US citizen can’t use a title bestowed on them by a foreign country, but this one is inherited so I’m not sure. However I did check that it -could- be inherited by James’s family and that aspect is fine, it doesn’t matter where they live (they just have no entitlement in the House of Lords, which most don’t now anyway). Such an example exists IRL, ironically the Lord Fairfax’s of Cameron! XD) ------ ALSO: Arianne's classes are: AP Calc, AP Physics, AP Biology, Chemistry, English language, French Grade II (In senior year she'd switch to AP Chemistry and take up AP Statistics, dropping the French :) ) Walt's are: English language, Geography, US History, AP Calc, Biology (He's trying to catch up with everything so it would change every semester for him pretty much as to what he takes. Perhaps next term, if someone convinces him to autition for a school production, he might take drama..... :P) Haven't figured James/Harry's but will fit those round whatever timetable gets drawn up. Likely to focus on languages, classics and politics as matches his general interests!

I'll have to take your word! :D I didn't exactly have a day in mind for James/Harry's birthday originally (known Walter & Violets for a long time though) but last year the 14th November was Remembrance Sunday in the UK (it's always the closest Sunday to Armistice) and being in the middle of writing that section of their novel at the time, and marching at the Cenotaph myself that day, it seemed rather fitting to make it his birthday. I know, lol! Though obviously he isn't in the country to celebrate this fact. He'll come back having turned 18 while away in the UK with his father, though his sisters and mom have stayed in Imagin though. Not that he's met the twins yet, but Saf & I figured his and Kit/Teshas families know each other pretty well (and probably Kern & Jacks thinking about it) and he's likely sent a few emails out to people while away. I guess James is part of the popular/social set somewhere (I can't imagine him -not- being anyway) even if he's not the sports type. I'm gonna stick with James (well we've all coped getting used to Kit Marlowe being Christopher :) ), it's clearly just a popular name! It will be weird writing it but probably good practise for getting back to that section of their novel as I really struggled on that part last nano.

Regan is in the hospital after being in a car accident and losing an arm. I don't know if there's anyone else not going to the party...so visit Regan or come to the party. Not too much with Wolf at the moment though if you are planning on seeing her. I'm trying to ease her out of the thread and make room for Sophia. On that note though, if Buggy's not bringing Emkai in, I'm going to bring Wolf back in as a main if that's okay. The only reason I was bringing in Soph was on the condition that Emkai would be brought in. I think she's going to be really difficult to write so I'd rather have Wolf.

I've got two new characters to introduce! One's a foreign exchange student, so she'll need a family to stay with. Name: Julianna "Julie" West Age: 17 Grade: Junior/11 Physical Description: About 5'8''-5'9'' with long brown hair that she's thinking of cutting soon; she normally keeps it pulled back into two braids or a long single one. Sharp green eyes and has a few freckles on her cheeks, though they are faint. Background and Personality: Julie is an only child, living with her mother and father in a well-to-do family. Her mother is a real estate agent and her father works at an insurance company. However, they are rather overprotective of their daughter. Julie is sort of a headstrong girl who isn't afraid to speak her mind. She can be rather stubborn and prideful. She isn’t one to ask for help too often, thinking that she can handle most of her problems on her own without dragging anyone else into them. While she doesn't like to accept help herself, she is more than willing to help others with whatever they need, and she's very friendly. She is smart, excelling in Math specifically, and occasionally Science, and considers herself to do pretty well in English as well. History is hit-and-miss for her, but she maintains and A-B average in most if not all of her classes. Significant Other Stuff: Julie is openly bisexual, and is definitely not afraid of admitting it or having people find out, though it's been causing some friction between her and her parents, who would prefer it if she dated exclusively guys. Her parents suggested she enter the exchange program, mostly in hopes that maybe some time away from home in America would straighten her out a bit, as she could be a bit of a troublemaker at home. She agreed, of course, but she wasn’t very happy about it and she hasn’t really fully adjusted. Regina’s capable of being very blunt. In school she can seem a bit distant and unfriendly, as she’s never really made any friends so far, just acquaintances at school. She’s very much an “I don’t care what other people think” sort of person and once her mind's made up, it can be hard to get her to change it. Significant Other Stuff: Regina’s straight, but she maintains that she “doesn’t do” relationships, since they’re only in high school and they’re not going to last long anyway, so she’s turned down a lot of guys who ask her out. Plays the cello in the school’s orchestra. She’s been playing the cello since she was very little and it’s one of the few things she actually enjoys talking about.

Kit would like to say that she already gets on with a wider array of people. She hangs out with Tornica and tig sometimes, (Mostly riding at weekends but their not friend friends) and Rose whose not as super popular (or she did when rose existed :P) and you know if she doesn't hang out with people it's not because their poor it's because their mean or rude or into D'n'd or really geeky things that ewww she just doesn't get :P. But it's true that whilst she's friendly acquaintances with a lot of people she's not close friends with a lot of them however Tigmight consider her an acquaintance Kit would probably consider her a "friend, but not close" ... she doesn't see things quite the same way as everyone else, but it's SOOO good to have Cadee around as they can gossip together :D Anyway at the party I have Kit, Tesha, Izzy, Kern and their all playing the game Listing the questions here for my own convienicne though I think the order might be wrong Never been arrested Never finished an entire bottle of pop Never had sexual relations with another guy Never been on a roller coaster. Name: Jamie Sullivan Age: 18 Grade: 12 Physical Description: Jamie's a touch above average height, with slightly shaggy, red-auburn hair and a smattering of freckles. His hair usually just looked like he rolled out of bed, and he likes it that way. His eyes are brown. He tans easily and is built like a long-distance runner, since that's exactly what he is. He's mostly found in well-taken care of running shoes, jeans and tshirts. He seems to have something against sleeves, and restrictive clothing in general. Background/Personality: Jamie's a really chill guy. He sort of blends into the crowd, to be honest. Jamie's from a solidly middle class upbringing. His mother, Mattie, divorced his father before he was a year old and his father forfeited the rights to see him. Ooh James, you must come here Teagan's band play. She hates wispy soprano voices and likes to put a growl in her voice when she sings, although she can sing clear and pure depending on the song. Her band plays Celtic fusion mainly, but they play all sorts of things. She lurves Joan Jett.

Patriclees was Achilles' cousin. Totally his cousin. In conclusion: cousin. I think at least trying to coax Regan into taking part would be good for him. But since, as far as I remember, Paris is meant to be good with a bow Regan might be a little touchy about playing him, since that can't really be even mimed with just one hand. Which one was Ajax? I'm happy for Eyron to play pretty much anyone in that mix.

Jack can be ladykiller Paris :p Most of what I know of the Trojan War is smatterings of the actual legend, a book about it nominated for the Carnegie Medal when I was part of my school's reading group (the name of which I can't even remember) and the Troy movie (which I watched ones and promptly lost somewhere...)

Haha, I can't see Aethan being happy with Jack playing Paris, even just for blanket fort wars.... xD I know a few smatterings and caught a few docs (DID see one about the Odyssey not so long ago), and my parents had a book that covered a lot of Greek myths but that was donkey's years ago that I last read it. So I know a few names but not necessarily all their links to each other or what they all did if that makes sense :) I mainly rely on wikipedia and the like for details now, lol! that in mind (and a quick bit of reading!) I'd suggest possibly Achilles & Patroclus to be Eyron & Walt (leaving suggestions as to who plays who open) - as a nod to seven minutes closet time ;)

So I hope Max/Angie has been part of the school's GLBT club. I'm sure they hang together even. So just to be clear Angie is FtM and is now Max after living a year as a guy? How far along in the operations is she? Or is she waiting a bit more? Many wait til after they are sure they are out of puberty, so like right after college or during college. I'm sure Mo would be very supportive. Although bummed that Max is a guy now. Although she does go for the occasional twink, so...who knows.

@Jeze - Reverse that: She's MtF and now Angie after transitioning over the summer. She was named Max at birth and chose the name Angie when she transitioned. She's taking puberty blockers officially and like many young trans girls she's taking grey-market estrogen (probably taking a little too much, but you know how it is). (Angie is not her final name - she's going to change her name to Maia in college. But right now she's going by Angie) She's cute, very femme, wears maybe a little too much makeup, and the estrogen not only stopped but reversed her voice breaking so she has a very pretty alto voice.

Awesome :D Welcome to AU High! And back to the Iliad discussion...I'm fairly sure all three Goddesses had a role to play in the story. And I think Paris did have to pick the most beautiful to give the apple to and picked Aphrodite. Which was probably a smart move because her wrath was never pretty...although the smartest move would have been to probably drop the apple and run for it since I think it was the wrath of the other two goddesses that made everything turn out so badly in the end. I could go and check wikipedia to find out properly, but I'm not that bothered :p And Jack...my cousin comment was a reference to this: http://m15m.livejournal.com/1487.html#cutid1 Pretty sure Achilles and Patroclees were more of the 'kissing cousins' sort of relatives. Mo sings alto as well and can do a contralto sometimes. Mo tends to wear vintage (boy) clothes and she's a good tailor. Binds her breasts. Frequently wears Victorian men's clothing. She also plays many musical instruments like her cousin Teagan. But she tends to play viola since Tig is rather competitive with her violin. Yeah, Mo would definately be hitting on her. My friend's older brother went MtF after college, so I did some reading up on it, but my info is out of date at this point. sad thing was, she became the prettiest girl in her family. Welcome! :D Nice to have new faces As characters have to have "always been around" at this stage do you fancy Izzy and Mara being friends. Izzy plays Violin, Sings and is in the Swim club, so I think they'd get on well. She's more extrovert than Mara but can still be quite quiet at times (never awkward and "Oh god dunno what o say" with new people but neve "LOOK AT ME I'M THE LIFE OF THE PARTY" either. Genuinely kind and insatiably curious. She also doesn't really have a female "best friend" right now and is shortly going to need one as she's just found out she's pregnant. She and her boyfriend are also into hiking and outdoorsy stuff dunno if Mara would be with her leg, but they could still hang out?

There she's her novel self, but at 18/19 instead of 32 (which was really helpful for developing her earlier life), became 'friends with benefits' with another authors charrie then went for her remission tests and told 'oh you're free of cancer but pregnant'. And hit the alcohol rather spectacularly for several days. It wasn't good. Incidentally though the son they now have has made his way into her novel re-write :)

Yeah, it's the coffee house one! (Bostons 'Cool Beans' Coffee Shop - gave it a slight rename from 'Your Characters Own Coffee Shop' this year). Everyone there isn't AU (so like Jacob is Death, Arianne is from 45 yrs in an AU future, Walter goes in as his Melpomene/Dolphin novel self etc) - though their original novel plots/drama have sometimes gone off in different directions thanks to meeting other peoples characters! Like hers.... *HUGS* Izzy. I know there are lots of ways it can go (had the same debate!) 'm intrigued to see how they handle it :) Oh totally, DRAMA is marked and noted :)

However both Chris and Victor (first chair NPC) are seniors so, anyone contesting her for First chair next year is on for a knife fight to the death.

Hate to have two bios spaced so far apart, but since there's no enter button -- well, this is just easier. I figured that when Jamie was introduced, he'd need someone to bounce off of. So here we go~ (trans character, they're popping outof the woodwork -- great, innit?) Name: Vic.I. Rossi. Age: 18 Grade: Twelve Appearance/Personality: Vic's a solid six feet, and looks taller because he's underweight -- and because he's underweight, he looks more than a touch frail, which does nothing but irratate him. He's built like a runner, and practices le parkour, though he's getting banged up more because he's clumsy, due to a sudden growth spurt. He has curly black hair and pale blue eyes, very sharp cheekbones and generally delicate features, as well as a very full, sulky mouth. He dresses like he's gagging on a silver spoon, fine tailoring and generally fancy clothing -- trousers and button-ups, suit-jakcets and such. He's distant and callous and doesn't like people, with a dose of self-loathing in the mix that's been getting less prominate since he started T in the summer. He doesn't talk much, he's very observant and intelligent, and doesn't care if you know it. Generally sort of creepy -- doesn't blinka whole lot, tends to stare. Other: Well, he's trans, as stated above, generally a bit of a prat, and not particularly active in the GLBTQ meetings. He only goes because Jamie drags him along. I'm down with Mara and Izzy being friends. ^_^ Mara's a little awkward / at a loss for words at times but she's a good listener and generally comforting. She can keep a secret too, if that's what Izzy wants. On a good day she's okay with outdoorsy stuff as long as it isn't super intense or forces her to put too much strain on one leg--no climbing, but she can walk if it isn't too far a distance. Mara's not very good at the violin to be honest. If anything, she'll be one of the better violins II's and too scared to fight for a better position, so everyone's spots are safe from her. :p Alright, I think I'll just have the two of them randomly show up waaay late to the party, haha.

Like, with major things at the school, or with major characters that everyone should know, or an event that's coming up, since I'm gonna be a character that's been at the school. Name: Analee(Ana) Walker Age: 16 Grade: Junior Physical Description: Long, wavy black hair that goes down mid-back, stunning and sharp blue eyes, tannish skin, and about 5'6". She is pretty fit, but a little on the skinny side, and she usually wears sweaters that are a bit too big for her and skinny jeans or leggings, unless it's hot, where she'll wear knee-length skirts or shorts and tanks tops or T-shirts. She likes wearing mostly blue and purple a lot of the time, sometimes green as well. Background and Personality: She's very shy, and doesn't talk very much, and she acts a little weird sometimes. She transferred into the high school when she was a sophomore, but people don't really notice her much cause she's so quiet. Her mom is Hispanic and her dad is American, but her mom died when she was 5. No one really knows how her mom died besides her, her sister, and her dad. Other Significant Stuff: Her whole family doesn't get along very well, and Ana hardly ever talks to anyone in her family. She has never really gotten close to anyone before either, friend-wise or boyfriend-wise. I'll add another character maybe later today too. I probably won't start posting till tonight either.

It's currently early/mid (I forget exactly) November and all the characters are at the birthday party of Aethan and Atraya. Schoolwise some stuff that's happened: - kareoke competition to fundraise for the camping trip - camping trip - Football team made it through to the playoffs - Homecoming! - hasn't happened yet but auditions for the Christmas play are due be held next week Drama stuff that's kicked off your character would be aware of: - Knife (character no longer being played due to his author having other time commitments) being stuck in hospital for about a week due to serious alcohol withdrawal. - NPC called Zach accused of attempting to rape another student (Atraya) - Regan being accidentally outed as bisexual on the camping trip, getting beaten up over it and having half the school jump to his defence when said beating kicked off - Regan losing an arm in a car accident after a Halloween party - Wolf (one of the many, many new students from the beginning of the year) getting shot with an arrow while hiking on the reservation More drama has occurred, but I believe those are the ones your character would most likely know about. As for the drama limitation rule...you are permitted to inflict one epically dramatic thing on your characters per two weeks in game time. Said dramatic thing doesn't need to have been resolved by the time you'd be allowed to start inflicting more chaos into their lives, but having the immediate chaos surrounding it have died down would be appreciated :p There is no overarching plot so aside from the above limitations authors are permitted to have drama happen to their characters at their discretion. However, some people would like certain bits of drama to take centre stage for a little while so that it doesn't get lost in a mass of posts and end up lacking the impact it really should have (for example Regan's coming back to school with one arm and Wolf getting shot happened pretty much simultaneously and so neither really got as much attention as I think they really should have done). So when something like that is due to turn up people will post that they've got something planned in this discussion thread and I expect people to respect that. Of course if that happens to clash with something someone else would like to happen, the relevant parties are perfectly free to PM each other to try and find some happy medium. That everything? I was kind of just trying to explain as I went along and so it might be a touch garbled.

Birthday party still going strong. What's happening right now is that people have either sloped off to have private conversation (or other sorts of interactions) in the semi-private pillow forts that might be getting raided at some point. There is also a re-enactment of the Illad based on a game finished earlier in the evening, which might result in said raiding once the 'Greeks' have finished sacking 'Troy'. However, the most likely route the raiding will take is towards the kitchen because that's where the 'loot' is. Best way to interact is to either grab a pillow and join one of the two sides, or join the crowds gathering at the edges to generally chat and find out what is going on.

That would be cool (if it's a childrens home rather than a foster family Ryans with)..... but not sure it will work truthfully. Ryan would prob. have been sent to Walts old school (in the next town over, er for the sake of argument at this point Bloggsville & Bloggsville High) than Imagin High - Walt travels in some way now he's transferred (lol, I've written in a lot of backstory with it!). Plus no way would Walt have come out on the camping trip if he knew anyone else from his home was at the same school lest word get back and Mickey (an NCP charrie who Walt used to hang out with but is basically very bad news) would def. be pumping Ryan for information, in not nice ways if necessary - i don't know if you'd want that Kemu. Nothing to say that Imagin doesn't have a childrens home there too though for those that can't be placed with a foster family. Besides I have some plans in mind for Walt & Violets home..... *rubs hands evily*

Not in Spain anymore; in Paris now. xD But we were in Madrid, for the most part. We also visited Toledo and a couple of other villages to see monasteries and castles and such. I'd be fine with moving ahead or anything, really. It'll be a few more days before I even get back, but it's not like my characters have anything left to do at the party.

There's a few Sunday things going but otherwise the general consensus seems to be to start moving to Monday.... :) When is the first Playoff match supposed to be for the football team? Is the plan to run some prep for it, play out the match as the Homecoming game was? And Thanksgiving would be the other major point in the calender coming up shortly? That would be 10 days-ish away?

Poor Tornica. Teagan's family does celebrate Thanksgiving and probably has some Thanksgiving special for the B&B that includes dinner, so she'll be 'working' at the farm then. if the Havoriluses want to dine with a group they can make reservations. So can any other family who wants too. I think they can set tables up and fit...30 people, maybe 50 in two rooms.

We just started up the school day on Monday Morning, And hmmm, I think we have all Jrs and srs, so him being a sophomore will limit his interactions during the school day, so you may want to make him a junior. Both Dragon-Mage and Safriadragonfan are in the UK, so they won't be around for 4 hrs or so and then, probably briefly. But you should get an answer/suggestions then.

Yarp, currently on Monday. And those two characters both look perfectly fine :D As for introducing them...just have them turn up to class. Currently while new characters are allowed, new to the school characters are not so they would have to be pre existing students. I know this does mean inserting your characters into pre-existing dynamics...but I come prepared with some ideas for who they might know! It's entirely up to you two of course, but I just thought I'd throw these out here. There are plenty of musical characters Uriel could hang out with (Christopher, Teagan, Mo, Finn, Connor...and apparently Skylar and Kieta ~~which I've totally missed up until now~~. I'm sure there are a few others but I can't remember them right now) And for Carley...if she likes helping people then volunteer work might be right up her street. Izzy is trying to get a Christmas pantomine sorted for disadvantaged kids in the town which she could be helping out with (although you'd have to talk to Saf about that to see how much advertising she's done for it already). There's plenty of behind the scenes stuff she could do if she's too shy for the main stage. And Kit and Jacob (I think) are Jewish so she might know them through that.

About Teagan and her band Teagan plays at Richard's Beard, an Irish pub. And she's underage to be playing in a bar, so getting a bunch of underage kids in will be a bit of a challenge. All this was established early on in the thread. I was thinking of having a gig at a church so all the HSers could go, or maybe a battle of the bands. Tig's really nice once you get on her good side?!!!! Tig's really nice _until_ you get on her bad side!!!! And no one convinced Tig of anything, Skylar. Please don't make my char do things she wouldn't. She would not give up a gig to her competition. She needs the money. And I don't know that Richard of Richard's Beard would chance having _another_ underage band play at his place. I really wish you would have PM'd me or put something in the discussion thread so we could have hashed this out before you posted this stuff. Having a bunch of underage bands at the school...there just aren't that many places they could play. I've been NPCing other band members for Tig. Wish you would have talked to me because Tig could use a bassist or a keyboardist. Mo usually plays drums, but could trade off with someone. This coming weekend, I don't know which night, Tig is playing for some corporate reception or something at the same restaurant that Tornica works in. So I guess Skylar could work at Richard's Beard that night, but I don't think Tig would have scheduled a gig on the same night she already has a gig.

I just thought it would be something fun for a number of people to be able to do some night and they would be able to see both bands and thus mingle with more people from school. I'm acutally a little surprised that this bar has let underagers in at all since they can quickly get their license pulled for it if they get busted.

In Creative writing Miho and Chris are chatting about the school play, in Calc Arianne and Aethan are discussing Stowe. Aethan being tired and Walt got into a fight at home (hes saying its from rugby though) were wondering earlier if Kern might take it a little easier at practice (though they doubt it!) Er, theres nothing major you'd miss if you had a quick skimread tbh.

SJGirl, if Carly likes horses, then she must know Teagan and Mo because they have horses at the 'farm' and and do lessons and rentals. And for kids who can't afford it, they are more than happy to trade helping take care of the horses for free riding lessons or rentals. Carly may a bit to shy for Jack, something would have to happen for him to notice her and turn on the charm, Unless someone dares him to try and get her a la Dangerous Liaisons. He tends to go for the very pretty cheerleader types.

Would everyone stick up again what subjects their characters are taking and when in the school day they think they are? I hope you don't mind DM (I'm bored at work on a Bank Holiday!), I'm trying to put together some form of timetable because I get hopelessly lost! I'm keeping it very simple in terms of times/arrangement (after a bit of research!) and running it 8am-3pm with six subject slots (as that seems to work quite well) So everyone could take 6 subjects or take 5 and have a free period for study/counselling/other activities etc. :)

This is roughly what I've figured so far (wishes she could draw a grid!) if it helps in figuring out what might fall where in the day: 8am - PERIOD 1 Algebra Creative Writing AP Calc 9am - PERIOD 2 Art Drama 10am - BREAK 10.30am - PERIOD 3 11.30am - PERIOD 4 12.30pm - LUNCH 1pm - PERIOD 5 French (Grade III) Poly Sci Spanish AP Physics 2pm - PERIOD 6 Some subjects might have more than one class though so there could be 2 slots of Spanish for example at different points in the day to accomodate number of students/popularity.

Yeah, I'm not sure how I ended up with six for Arianne.... :/ but if everyone has five I'll get rid of one for her. Walt has five. heck, I can knock the last period out and end the school day at 2pm instead - that gives lots of time for football/cheerleeding/orchestra practice ;) But that may well depend on how to fit all the subject choices in! Glad you're cool with it, I'll attempt to do my best with figuring what should be before/after lunch etc.... I'm thinking if I can try and have max four big subjects per period that should work fairly well with splitting everyone up for interaction. We'll see how it goes.

Coming into the thread after everyone else (missing the very first discussion thread) I just followed suit, so as everyone else had listed five so did I and I'm basing the school day round that! A quick look at US school timetables round the net, they're all different. I've found between 5-8 classes a day is pretty standard, and keeping them all an hour long is nice and simple for the purposes of a fictional RP school. Yeah, my school day had 8 periods - though most classes were doubles, but then I've explained before how in the UK it's different every day when it comes to lessons to fit in er.... 15/16 different subjects a week.

It's pretty comprehensive already actually! I'm sure Aethan had some form of Classical Studies class or something at one point? as I'm going to shove James in that when he comes back - I'll add it in anyway :)

I know I haven't quite got everyone's classes yet, but I think this will cover everyone from what I recall of the rest.... It's been quite hard, keeping with the precedents that have already been set (eg x,y,z subjects come after lunch, putting each AP class in a seperate period etc) and I've tried my best to make sure everything everyone's stated fits in! I've managed to avoid clashes except in two cases - which is Eyrons Art/Chemistry and Natalies Creative Writing/Algebra (Anyone who didn't state what level of a language they're taking, I've had to guess a bit). I'm afraid it's going to have to be a case of pretending there is another class running and it's during a presently free period in their timetables and they go on their own unfortunately - as obviously the aim is to have as many of our charries in a class together at once for interaction :D I might try and write a list of who is where each hour too. Both English (generic) and Poly Sci have two classes running (A & B) as they were so popular so some will fit in one, and some the other. Any free periods, that's a free choice of picking a class running at that time, or having it as study time, or make up some other random class you fancy having your character take! Chemistry isn't that big a deal for Eyron to take. He can easily take something else. It was just to fit in the science slot in his timetable. Um, just curious as to why Orchestra/music is listed Period 5 when some people (myself included) listed it as the third class? I guess I'll change it. The schedule has changed a fair bit since the thread got started. Originally Orchestra and AP Biology were both first thing as well :p Things got moved around as and when were needed. Orchestra probably got moved to 5th because it caused the fewest clashes that way. I didn't know people were submitting their character's classes in order. I know I certainly didn't. It was just a list of what they were taking rather than the order they were meant to go during the day. Ooh, Tanner's taking World History. Someone else for Christopher to flirt with in class :D And...what exactly is Classical Studies? I've got Eyron taking it but I don't know what it actually involves. I might switch him into something else before I properly commit to that.

I didn't see that Chris was in world history, I just thought Tanner likes history. Oh, well that's alright then DM! XD I was just mightily confused myself trying to work out who to send where - it got too much, I cracked! Same, I thought it was just a list of classes, not in order - esp as not everyone submitted 5 subjects. (Given that's the reason for writing a definitive timetable). I had no idea with the orchestra being first at one point either! But then every charrie taking it ended up in either AP Calc, Algebra or Creative Writing first anyway.... But there is absolutely no way I could have gotten them in the order written by everyone and have characters able to share classes, just impossible. You know how many problems Skylar was causing me by being the only one taking both drama and art?!? I'm damn impressed with myself I only got two subject clashes from everything everyone submitted! xD Classical Studies - would be Roman & Greek civilisations, literature, history, language as a rough idea? Um, no I don't know how many problems he was causing [ I knew some other chars taking art and drama was already listed] lol Seeing as it would have been fine to have just said he was in drama/art and not have him interact really, since recently we've mostly been rp'ing a couple of the classes, then lunch, then some teacher/student interaction, then footbal/music practices then after school stuff, XD I figured it'd be fine, but I guess not. I figured a lot of the classes didn't need to have interaction unless other people wanted it and if inspiration hit, lol. I'm fine with a schedule and this helps, it was just a bit confusing for a moment as to who was where and where we wanted to put chars and stuff.

Ah, realised where some of that confusion might have come - asking where people thought subjects were supposed to be in the day, but was expecting an answer like everyones been putting OOC in the thread - eg. 'Blah has Y subject before lunch and Bloggs has Z at some point after' etc as it didn't seem like anyone was sure any more - and before lunch is very ambiguous - immediately before? Or just some point in the morning? xD Coming into the thread during the second discussion thread too (I've never ever seen the first and this is the third one) any of that information has always been completely lost to me. So it's half a clean slate, and half built up from whats been discussed in the OOC bits, and some characters have come and gone since the start which mixes it up again - like Skylar is new, and Dayen has gone etc. I took it as read that the subjects everyone listed was what they wanted their characters in so I did my very best to accomodate that. And to figure it in a way that if people -wanted- to RP some of the classes at any point during the school year then they would know which characters are with them and there would be a sufficient number in each. Some are more populated than others, but that's going to happen. Hopefully it will aide anyone new who joins too :)

If you want a senior literature class there can be one - there's American Lit, er would this be an AP Literature class? We could have it in as another choice during Period 3 perhaps? A lot just stated 'English' and others before have said 'English - not literature/creative writing' so English (generic) is born out of that. But heck, there are going to be more subjects than just those listed so far. Everyone is welcome to state a mix of those listed and ones of their own, it's primarily so everyone can keep track who is sharing a class with who for RP-ing. eg I have Arianne in a class on her own last thing (still unsure what) but it doesn't bother me she's not sharing it with anyone else. The other five she does.

Here's a class schedule I did up in excel but it wouldn't upload onto deviantart properly from there. I had to put it in a different program. The names are in alphabetical order and I used all the names I had seen from people who had posted them. I apologise if I missed anyone. I think Jack had 2 classes in the 2nd period... I put him into French with Christopher though. I don't have a photobucket account or anything for people who don't have a deviantart account, if you want me to email the document to you, I can do that though.

Wow, that's awesome LS! I was starting to compile somthing similar but you beat me to it! :D The only errors I've spotted is Miho is in Art 2nd Period than Biology. And Arianne isn't in French 3 in the 6th Period - I put her in a 'not shared with anyone/not on the list' alternative French 2 on her own (idk, I've never had her as a 'great at languages' person - though her Grandfather is French-Canadian who insists on still periodically speaking it at home so she can speak it okayish and read/write a limited amount, but several years of not living with him and it being more colloquial rather than formal I doubt she'd be in that advanced a class - unless anyone thinks otherwise and I can switch her into it!) :) It's amazing though, it's tough keeping track of who's going where!

But going through the list not everyone specified -which- spanish/french class (ie 2 or 3) so I just had to guess/figured they didn't mind as such when it came to getting the classes divided up so everyone got what they originally stated for each charrie *shrugs* Course now there is a timetable everyone's changed their mind/switched some classes, cant win, LOL! He was in Spanish 3 but I dropped him in 2 when I saw the schedule because I remembered him being in it after lunch. It doesn't really matter. Just means he's alone after lunch. I just wanted to keep him true to what I originally had him in as much as I could so I dropped him in Spanish after lunch because I know I said he had Bio blefore and he was alone after some people dropped the RP in that class. Like I said, just means he's alone after lunch instead. You did miss Aethan's second hour AP English (which he is alone in because I couldn't put him in the one with others because of other classes he would definately be in). I don't want ot make a big deal of all of this though. And I don't want you to go through extra work fixing it just because of that. If they're alone for one class then they're alone. It isn't like we have ever written all the classes before.

That's cool that the schedule is all made up. I'm with Star on this one, I didn't think it particularly mattered to have all the schedules written out to a T when we hardly wrote all the classes anyways, and if we wanted to interact with a certain character or group our chars just slid in there somehow and we made it work. It's an organized idea and it seems like too much work though, XD Maybe that's because I'm on break and I'm pretty laid back when it comes to these things. Kudos to all those who are organized and had the time to do this though, lol.

Given everyone OOC were going 'er I can't remember which class comes next', and from a personal point being a late joiner in the thread not having the foggiest clue where to send mine to fit in with everyone elses (and everyone being equally blank every time I asked what subjects were supposed to be going on where), it's entirely just a way of having a better idea of where to send them when we -do- RP school days/classes and ditto with what LS said - just to know who to expect to find in a class for them to chat to as I'm prone to forget & information gets lost. We can refer back to it when we need to as it can be a long gap from RP-ing one school day to another, that's mostly what it's for. But I know most of the time the lessons themselves are almost the -least- important part of AU High! Just sometimes they're the handiest way to get two charries chatting ;)

It's not set in stone at all I think. If it's okay with the mods and if there were a time that someone wanted to switch a class then I think now would be the time to decide after seeing how it's all laid out so long as it didn't conflict TOO much with the way things are already.

Since we are on the topic of schedules I was wondering if we could get some sort of timeline going for playoffs. I know DM wanted to run this like a (somewhat) real American school and by mid November the playoffs would be pretty much over so I'm just wondering if we can work something out. I need to know for Aethan when the season is done. I have something planned for him but not until after the season is over. Nothing dramatic, just a little something I worked up for him.

I wasn't sure it mattered so much either - I thought it was just to help everyone get a bit more organized in terms of what classes there are so no one's all confused. It didn't particularly matter to me whether my chars were in the same class as someone else. I have four; someone at some point will have someone to interact with. xD And though I'm newer to the thread, I was under the impression classes weren't a big deal anyway, lol! I saw that but I haven't noticed an answer. I'm just trying to get us to pinpoint it a little more so that we are all on the same page like we are with the schedules. There are usually three games. Quarterfinals, semi-finals, and finals. And yes, if you lose you're out so if we want to go all the way we have to win three weeks in a row. Don't worry Arianne. It isn't anything as bad as what I did to Regan. Just a little drama I cooked up for him. Nothing major.

I know that Jack was in PolySci with Atraya after lunch but other people have changed their schedules for their characters so it doesn't really matter. Ah yes, I still need to reply to people (I was just too tired after a round trip of 500 miles this weekend) and in Saf's last post aimed at me Kern said to Walt he wished it was Saturday already so they could just play the game :D So yup, this coming weekend in RP. Also, for Jeze - I just made the classes either AP or standard, everyone seemed to have mixed up anyway. As Star also said the lines are blurred a bit - given everyones a junior or senior anyway I dont think it matters in a fictional school if they're sharing either. We'd have almost no one in a class to RP otherwise if they were divided by subject -and- year.

Now that I've raised this.... My internet card burned out and I don't have the money to fix it right now so I won't be around as much for a while. I just have to convince my husband that this ancient laptop needs replaced instead of repaired. I can't even unplug it because the battery won't charge, and when it it plugged in bumping the laptop just right shorts the connector in the computer so it thinks it isn't plugged in. Done ranting about this now. Just wanted to let you guys know.

But Christopher is just going to sit back and feel smug about his concert hall solo ~~and conveniently ignore that he only got that because he was literally dying at the time~~ Methinks a battle of the bands could get pretty scary :p It must be done! And with that estimate I'll assume the place can hold around 500 if you cram them in. That sounds like a good enough number to give Skylar a bit of stage fright (although I'm sure he'll be brilliant). And don't worry Teagan, Tornica only has ears for your music. I figured it was a coffe house/bar sorta thing too. But there's a bar in my town that has a small concert venue attached that underagers can comet o the show and legal age can still drink. Maybe someplace like that? It would likely be between 300-500 people total.

Oooh, I've just worked out that James (aka Harry) can be back at Imagin High for the final week of the semester :D He's been spending the rest at Eton and they finish for Christmas early/mid December, Maine dates (for Portland district leastways) put theirs 10 days later. Though being impatient it's sooo tempting to have him back after Thanksgiving perhaps - but I'm suspecting it should make more sense that he completes the school term abroad.

Well now Star's ncp Jim and ninja's James are out of the picture pretty much he will be James (as that is his name really) - bit like Kit Deshan/Kit Marlowe, I'd use Harry if they were to avoid confusion like Christopher. I may give in to lack of patience and have him back around Thanksgiving! xD

Maybe Eyron will ask Regan if he's coming to the game :D Mention that it would be nice to see him there :p And we are RPing at least a bit of the game. We can gloss over the actual playing bits and just have the crowd. With a bit of half time stuff for the players if we want. And whatever Star's planning of course *is nosy*

The only possible issue I can see with them is Karina. You mention in Luke's bio that she only moved here over the summer. If she already went to the school and just moved closer that would be fine, but I'm not longer accepting characters who would have been new this year. They need to have already been students here. But other than that welcome aboard! Currently the football team have just won their play off game and are all in a pretty good mood, heading off to do their various celebrating things.

Just a heads up that I'm away tomorrow (tuesday) evening visiting my best friend who's emigrating to Canada next week (Regina) and from 30th Mar - 6th Apr I'm away in France and Germany so I might not be around much/at all that week. Seeing as Arianne isn't going to the party anyway, as long as we can wrap up Aethan being over her house during the week that should be fine, and Walt will either turn up at the party if it's still going when I get back or be too tired after the match and work if not! xD

As Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching.... As much as my inner author says 'Christmas would be a more logical time to return' the impatient side of me has decided to have James make his appearance/return to Imagin High over Thanksgiving. So I'm just trying to work out what friendship groups he might slot into - as he's not 'new' he'd recognise most faces at least, apart from the new movers since June. I'd imagine his family would probably know Kit/Tesha's and Jacks fairly well, probably Kerns too as the 'influential' families about town (I know Saf has needed to drop out for the moment but fingers crossed she'll be back at least on occasion). I've put in in AP Calc, Art, AP Lit, World History, Poly Sci and Classical Studies if that's of any use! I can't picture him on the sports teams so much, but then he'd have missed every tryout going so (except maybe something like tennis or badminton, they seem a bit more him than the ususal team sports). He's quite probably taken some of the ballroom dance classes at one stage so perhaps people there, though I can't remember who presently attends those!

If something goes down, I can have them do a before/after thing for a bit. Oh, and yes, Alis would love to be part of Thanksgiving with the Havoriluses et al. That's me speaking on her behalf. :P Harry would probably know Wolf and Aynslie to some extent then. They're not new to Imagin. Aerona and Wolf are both part of the ballroom course but Aerona's pretty new.

Kieta would probably know of Harry, and mostly his family since they have political ties, but I think we already discussed all of that. Obviously he wouldn't know the twins. Regan knows everyone so Harry/James (sorry I need to get used ot calling him James I guess) probably knows him, though likely not too terribly well. Sort of in a friendly but not terribly familiar way. And I think DM has pretty much said we can move on LS, so go for it I guess.

Sorry LS! :) Just think of him as James. This comes about from the first place I rp-d him was in HMS Dolphin and then also in ycocs where he'd been living (on the run after deserting the army) under an assumed name for 4 years so anyone in those threads (which is almost everyone in fairness) have primarily known him as Harry. He still likes introducing himself as plain Mr Harry Fairfax and keeping up the anonymity. Really though his name is James. 1920 version is trying to get used to it again and all the titles with it in ycocs.

Alis is in the hospital. She and Aerona were attacked when she went to get her stuff so she could move in with Atraya and Aethan. Archer came to the rescue. Aethan had surgery on his shoulder but nothing major. He's back in school. He was also grounded because he didn't have perfect grades. Eyron and Regan had their first date. Went well. Wolf is back in school but in a wheelchair for now. Kieta/Miho/Skylar are having drama about Skylar ignoring Kieta for Miho. Atraya and Chris are leading the school play (not sure if Julie is into theater). Regan and Walt aren't talking to each other. The team won the football game but took a beating (thus Aethan needing surgery, and Jack hurt his finger or wrist, I can't remember which). Chris has been pretty sick. Other than that, I think that covers it aside from just basic interaction.

Would it be really inconvenient for me to swap out a char right now? Devon keeps to herself too much and never wants to make an appearance anywhere... I don't even think she's had a proper conversation, lol. The char I'd use would definitely be the more social type - likely a cheerleader and all, and I think it'd be relatively easy to integrate her. If it's a bad time for this, of course, I understand. I just would like a fourth char and the one I have now is too closed-off. xD

I'm not bothered either! I did the same with Xanthe (far too unsociable). And I'm bringing James in (huzzah - it's Thanksgiving so I better write a first post for him!) and while I've had a decent enough reason for him being out of school for a while, he's def. not a new student either and knows most by sight leastways (apart from the newbies in his absence) so it sorta covers a bit of both.
