When I was 15 my best friends planned my wedding for me. I believe at the time I was most interested in having the boy who I was OMGsuper in love with be in love with me. I was also desperately in love with the idea of having a really pretty dress and everyone pay attention to me.
I'm one of those women that have fantasized about her wedding since she knew what the word meant. For me, it was about the colors, the style of dress I would wear, and how the groom would look at me when he first spotted me walking down the aisle. Most of my dreams came true - the dress was slightly different. ;)
The groom... who doesn't exist, btw, but maybe one day... As for the wedding itself (and aside from questioning whether I'd ever risk getting married), probably the dress, the guest lists, the location, and the decorations.
I've never imagined the dress, since it probably wouldn't be fashionable by then, but i have thought about the flowers, the location, the colour scheme...
I always tried to imagine what our first dance would be too, and who I'd pick as bridesmaids, whether the wedding would be big or small and intimate...
The way you get to the church (carriage or car), the music that has to be played, the words used during the service, the dress. In fact, all I miss is a guy =P
I was all about the dress. Seriously, I was one heck of a selfish puppy back then > I couldn't care less about the guy or the rest of the wedding party, but I had a scrapbook of favourite wedding dresses. Fast-forward 20 years and I still don't have the guy or the wedding (and therefore not a dress either), but the scrapbook is still there.
I never fantasised about getting married. And when I actually did get married it was a right royal pain in the **** organising everything, because I still couldn't care less. The only thing I was interested in was the actual moment of saying 'I do'. The rest was just an annoying add on that had to happen or my relatives would have killed me. Maybe I'm just odd...
For me, it was primarily the dress (of course), the first dance song, and actually a lot about the actual ceremony, that is, how I would enter the church, the music I would walk to, the groom watching me walk in, thinking about having everyone I know watching us take our vows.
I dreamed/still dream about ALL aspects of the wedding. ^_^ I seriously have been planning my ideal wedding since I was in 8th grade. Obviously some details have changed since way back then, but the general feel and idea has stayed the same. Anyways, getting a little off track. Growing up it really was just dreaming about everything that had to do with the wedding day, but in the past six months to a year or so it has shifted a bit. Yes, I still dream about all the details of the wedding itself, but I have started finding myself dreaming more about life after the wedding, the fact that I will be a wife and eventually a mother. I am getting to the point where that is what I most look forward to about getting married and not the big party. I guess when you start to grow and mature that is where the dreaming starts to go. ^_^
I never really fantasized about the wedding itself, just the first night together haha. XD (I may or may not have had questionable morals/ethics, depending on who you asked?) It was't really so much the sexytime as much as it was just being close to somebody though, so... I wasn't that 'bad' haha :D
Every now and then I'd get a little mini flash-fantasy about just having a life with the person, maybe with a kid or something. (Which is especially funny, because I don't really think I want kids. XD)
Whenever I dream or daydream about it it's always about that first dance and the music we'll be playing to. It changes about every time, just as the guy that I'm dancing with has changed over time. But it was always about that first dance. :) Now of course I am with a guy who hates dancing and whose body isn't really exactly made for it... So that's not really helping. We do know that he's going to enter the church on the Mario tune. If I could realise it I would probably totally come in floating like Peach always does. Unfortunately we can't do that, so I'll have to find something else. We're not even done with college so we still have time. Next to the fact that he hasn't even proposed yet XD
This is the order in which I think about things (not in order of importance): The dress What walking down the aisle is going to be like What my first kiss is going to be like (in front of all those people!) The dancing ....the 'later that evening'.... The morning after....
The one thing I knew I absolutely didn't want was that damn awful "Here comes the bride" music anywhere near my day when I gave it a random passing thought. And it never made an appearance at my wedding, can't remember what I ended up going with, but it was a great deal better.
Then was the dress and the flowers (which ended up totally different than what I'd drummed up in my head).
I can say I certainly never fantasized a drunk father of the bride though. Totally could have done without that element.
I'm still fantasizing about a honeymoon in Germany ... or anywhere really ... it's been 10 years now and I may just eventually get the husband to take me on it. (we couldn't afford it at the time, which is the excuse he still gives me -- I don't buy it as much as the fact that he doesn't like to go anywhere)
The dress. The first dance as a married couple. Get married in church.
If possible I want to make my dress myelf and attach beaded skulls on it, haha. And wear it in church. ;o) And my first dance should be a tango or something.
Am I the only one who fantasized about the cake? I even had the old fashioned wedding cake topper with the little bride and groom on it. My top layer was red velvet!
What do women think about most when fantasizing about their wedding?
Just like the title says. What would a sixteen year old fantasize most about when fantasizing about her wedding?

I would think about colors and the dress the most I think. And maybe my groom if I was crushing hard on a certain guy at the time.

I dream of running off to Vegas with someone (haven't met him yet). Except my mother would kill me tee hee.
Re: What do women think about most when fantasizing about their wedding?
I loved fantasizing about the gown, and how much fun the reception would be.

When I was sixteen, I fantasized about...
1. The dress
2. The man
3. The bridesmaids
4. The colors
5. The location
