How Do Your Characters Meet?

Well...I need some inspiration for my novel. I have a few ideas on how my characters might meet...but just thought I'd ask you all for some inspiration. So how did your FMC and MMC meet (or MMC and MMC/FMC and FMC)

MMC1 sends random letters out to sea in bottles. MMC2 finds one and after a while, responds. RC1 ferries letters back and forth between the two for a while before they decide that MMC2 will travel to meet 1. They meet while MMC1's world is kind of falling apart at the seams.

Very simple, actually. Her father is throwing a party and he's the guy who smuggles booze into Florida from Bermuda.

Penny gets in a motorcycle accident and knocks herself out. Jason finds her, takes her back to his zombie/demon hunting group and patches her up so that she doesn't end up as zombie bait.

It's complicated... hehe

Clea has a big crush on Brennan and follows him to Necromancer school. However, there's been an accident (which she doesn't know about) and his soul is being hosted by another person named White Hawk. (She doesn't realize it's a different person because she's been temporarily blinded). Brennan isn't/wasn't in love with her. White Hawk, who now shares Brennan's memories, has his own crush on Clea. Clea eventually falls for White Hawk.

So... I guess they meet at school? Kind of?

My MMC saved MFC from being eaten by wolves. (Lame, classic damsel in distress...even though she is a fox. ^_-)

MMC accosts FMC while she is digging for fossils 12 feet above the ground on a wobbly scaffold. She can't hear him calling to her so he climbs up the ladder & taps her on the shoulder. She swings around and...

MMC washes up onto the beach and falls unconscious. My FMC finds him and calls 911 when she realises he's still alive. She contends this is their first meeting. But he argues that it was the next day when he shows up at her house to say thank you for saving him that is their first meeting. It's just one of the many running arguments they have. They are married nine years and quite happily so.

This year is a rescue romance. :3

On the battlefield. There's a huge competition and the MMC faces his girl in the final round. Next step is, she comes after him to kill him. I'm sure their relationship will improve afterwards......

Blind date! It's actually the only part of my Romance that is directly from my life. I met my husband on a blind date almost 27 years ago.

My FMC desperately needs a job to pay off debts, becoming a live in nanny is the only feasible way to get her life back on track.

MMC is a single father living in a remote countryside village. He needs help badly with his four year old twin boys and finally decided to hire a nanny against his controlling mothers wishes.

They meet face to face for the first time by the side of the road when she gets a flat tyre on the way to their interview. He comes expecting he will have to change the tyre for her, but this nanny is no damsel in distress.

Also they both get soaked in the rain! A tried and tested classic!

Weell, technically the MMC beat up my FMC in a fist-fight first time they met. Fast forward three years and he's there when she wakes up in the hospital after another fight. Let us just say, that he isn't exactly welcome.

Well, they actually met (it's not in the story, but I know they did) aged eight or nine-ish, when they were both skipping class at assassin school. They proceeded to have an argument about the reliative 'yuckiness' of boys/girls, and after that seem to have been firm friends...

My MMC Morgan kidnapped my FMC Gail when he broke out of prison. They end up in hiding together for a number of years.

And I know what you guys are thinking, but there is no rape is this story. I promise.

My characters, Jack and Max, grew up in the same small town, and were part of the same loose circle of friends when they were children. They didn't become close until their early teens, when they both became victims of homophobic bullying. Jack, who is very much the brawn in their little coupling, took to defending little Max and their friendship developed out of this.

A year or two later, hormones introduced rampant sexy times to their friendship, and they've kinda kept that up until the beginning of the story. And beyond. They're not really the lovey dovey kinda couple. More like best friends who have absolutely no time for anyone else, who can't keep out of each other's pants. It works for them.

At the dog park. Their dogs are best friends.

Crystal is looking for the people whose names are in the little black book that great Aunt Tillie left behind when she passed away. Wallace appears to be the only person in the world with his first and last name, so she contacts him via his Facebook page.

MMC turns up to speak to FMC's grandmother about where she might be (as she's the heir he's trying to find. He's an heir finder.) anyway. The grandmother tells him that if he wants to meet her, he should turn up at a charity function that the grandmother's partner is running.

So he does. But for reasons too complicated to get into, FMC isn't using her own name.

She figures out who he is first and he is well pissed when he realises, haha.

In mine, Frigga is being a nerf-herder and decides to visit Jotunheim by herself, where she gets hopelessly lost and winds up meeting Farbauti, who's out hunting at the time.
