I measured a book that I have that's the same size (two actually, one with little font and one with big font), and the width of the pages aren't even as wide as my pinkie! That's very tiny...is that worth publishing from create space? Anyway, you want to be heading for ebooks these days - save the trees and all that :) with an ebook, size doesn't matter. Take a look at smashwords.com - it's free. And they have a nano section you can upload now and then update to a fully listed published novel later - with the nano tag on it ! It doesn't matter the size, if you like your novel and want that copy. Technically 50k is usually considered a novella or somesuch, not exactly long enough to be a full big novel, so don't wory about size. [/quote] Not necessarily; depending on your genre, 50k is a short novel, but a novel nonetheless. Because a book page usually has a lot fewer pages anyway. But you really do find novels of all sorts of lengths too, so having a short rough draft doesn't mean all that much. It may grow longer, or you pay publish a short book.
