I would <em>love</em> a dedicated thread/forum/SOMEWHERE for people to go "wow, I like your avatar/signature/etc", as I am sick of reading really interesting threads that get interrupted by people who feel they just have to go "I WUV UR AVATAR". I want to read about the topic, not about avatar love. The problem is that comments like that appear EVERYWHERE... and usually not when the poster being complimented is looking for them. It's hard to redirect conversations when they're off topic. When there's an off topic thread, I can lock it and redirect, or move it... when it's an inline comment, I can't move the comment.
