If I write the first 3 before November, can I start the 4th and have that count? I will have started the idea, but not the actual 50,000 word book yet. It worked okay, but the site guidelines have a point - it works so much more easily when you start from scratch, because you have no preconceived ideas or "rules" about the story. It's not illegal to do sequels but it's easier not to.
