Multiple Novels

Hey I'm new here (obviously, cause I'm pestering y'all) and I was wonder if it's possible to work on more then one novel on this site? I'm working on 1 currently but I'm setting the framework for a second one so I was wondering if I could create a separate novel details page for it.

Thanks!

Well, you can get help on multiple stories here, but during November and you're updating your word count, it only applies to the novel you are writing as your NaNo project. Otherwise, yeah, you can get a lot of help here with any story you're working on.

There is only one novel details page per account, but you can enter details for more than one novel by using slashes (Title One/Title Two) and having lines between excerpts.

Excerpt One
------------------
Excerpt Two

For the challenge in November and the Camps in June and August you can write more than one, but at least one of them has to be at least 50K to win the challenge. Many people write more than one novel in November, they even have an overachiever thread to get together in.

Other than that, there are no restrictions on writing whatsoever. If you have ten stories going on at once you can still feel free to get help or encouragement for any of them.

Welcome to Nano and have fun.

Sure. Why not?

One year I worked on an epic fantasy, had that done in two weeks, and then wrote a comedy. It was fun. I made a note in my excerpt and synopsis that I worked on two stories. It was quite fun.

Moving to Rules and Regs (It's not off topic if it's about your novel)

Many people here work on multiple novels; there's no built-in features to do so, though. The rules state that to win, you have to write 50k on at least one, from-scratch novel, though. You can't combine multiple works to get your word count goal. After that, though, you can do as you like... many people with super-high word counts aim for 50k on one, then combine multiple novels to hit 500k and more. :)
